Admittedly, it's a vibe. However, these concepts have you starting on the tread and switching off to the bench anywhere from 2-3 times. I feel like you do not get the ultimate benefit of either. The weight segment is also super ineffective, incorporating "compound" moves for basically everything with upwards of 5-7 different exercises for a max of MAYBE 2 sets. I get why people love this concept because it's hard to stay motivated with the same boring workout. Plus, these workouts will undoubtedly have you feeling sore, this feedback being what people thrive off of, because sore muscles=growth, right? WRONG, as you absolutely SHOULD NOT feel sore after every single workout. In terms of progress, you will quickly flat line with the lack of consistency due to all the randomness. However, people have different goals and exercise is better than none, I mean, if you can afford it!

There is plenty of retail parking on the first level of the parking garage as well as ample street parking. The studio is clean and has bathrooms, showers, high-end personal care products (lotions, soaps, feminine care products) and offers free towels to use during the workout. The studio is spacious and has treadmills + benches with weights and bands in each space plus extra weights along the wall you can grab for heavier lifting. Another thing I really love about the treads is the ability to do sled pulls and parachute runs...haven't found another studio in SD that has them! The trainers are motivating, the music playlists are curated to really pump you up and the workouts are 50 min - it's effective, efficient and you get a total full body workout and a balance of strength training and cardio w/ the option to double up on weights. I took advantage of the special they had for March for $196/month for unlimited classes (normally $300/month). I have been averaging going 3-4x/week so the value is there and this promotion was a really good deal! Can't wait for my next class!

Staff acknowledged the cancellation and apologized, but the charges continued. These unauthorized charges disrupted another automatic payment I had scheduled. In addition, I signed a contract with the understanding that certain amenities would be available. Over time, several amenities either disappeared or were not functioning as advertised. Equipment was frequently in poor condition, some machines did not work properly, and basic facility expectations were not consistently met. There were also ongoing issues with air conditioning, and even simple amenities like stocked shampoo and conditioner were unreliable. If you choose to join, I strongly recommend getting any cancellation in writing and carefully reviewing what amenities are actually operational versus what is advertised.

I've tried all the new circuit classes from Revel Fit, Renegade, OTF, F45, and I guarantee that no one will program or kick your a$$ like Bryan at Versatile Fitness! This is a no-frills, old boxing gym vibe (think OG Rocky) where you come to WORK! Bryan's programming, exercise acumen, and super sets will challenge you, but also be some of the most effective and productive workouts. He has almost every piece of equipment I've seen in a gym from rowers, ropes, barbells, curl bars, pulley systems, sleds, water weights, benches, kettlebells, free weights, Terra core, TRX, bands, discs, and the list goes on. I have attended about 10 classes and I have yet to repeat a workout. It's insane the quality of training and programming you would get through this gym for the price. Anywhere else, it would cost thousands for this level of programming, so anyone who attends these classes is getting a steal of a deal for this type of workout! Classes are 45min, with several stations per class. Each day has a target focus such as pull, push, leg, abs, and/or cardio, depending on the day. The target is there, but you are always getting a decent total body workout. Each station has 2-3 exercises that you do 2 sets per station. You have around 3 people per station, and then you rotate. Bryan goes around to demo each exercise as you move stations, and also has the workouts written on a whiteboard at the front of the room. Bryan will also provide quick corrections, as needed. Please note, in large group class settings, rarely will get you get alot of correction or instruction. It's not feasible to have that much personalized focus in these types of classes. Each class starts with a short warm-up, and a quick cooldown at the end. I have only taken class with Bryan, as he is the staple of this gym. He also has an extensive background with over 20yr of experience and he also offers some nutrition and personalized coaching programs for fat shredding and other fitness goals. This gym is a hidden gem and morning classes are usually full. I am literally perplexed how the afternoon classes are not exploding with members because I have yet to see anyone have the stellar exercise programming and versatility that Versatile Fitness provides. I've seen so many different trainers and attended many gyms, and Bryan's programming is the most innovative and BRUTAL (in the best way), that I've experienced. If you're looking for a serious SWEAT, a great community, and incredible workouts, VF is the spot!

The owner Kat was also the instructor. She was very thorough in her instructions before getting started so everyone was clear on what to do at each station. There were 3 exercises at each of 4 stations covering all the bases, leaving you spent after each one. Kat provided tips and motivational quips throughout which was super helpful. The other ladies in the class were friendly and welcoming. This is a 3 story boutique gym with even the 1st floor indoor area open to the outside allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and breeze from the nearby ocean. There are amazing views of the sunset over the ocean from the 3rd floor. Here's the best part, I happened to be there on a night where they were having a wine tasting social on the 3rd floor from 5:30pm-8pm. Kat and her assistant put out a lovely spread, both generous and tasty. Members brought bottles of wine to share while socializing and making new friends. It was such an awesome way to bond with this little community, which is something Kat really prides herself on. It's not just a gym but like a second home, somewhere you enjoy going to not just rushing in to grab a workout and get out. Check this out if you're in the area, you'll be glad you did! I know I'll definitely rely be back.

It's never crowded, which makes it very easy to get the machine/dumbbells you want to use. For example, I took all of these pictures during normal gym hours. It's always super clean and the dumbbells are always in their correct spot. The staff's awesome and knows me by name. They even ordered fun pink ankle straps one time because I asked about them. One of the best gym atmospheres I've been in. It's 3 stories and has plenty of room for lifting, cardio, or using the studio area. I'm a huge fan and signed up for another 3 years to prove it.

Nothing got done to improve the situation here. Only thing it has going for it is relative location.read more

You also use some weights and resistance bands. Justine was my instructor today and she was very attentive. I'm working through a few injuries and she was great as far as offering modifications that would make the work out appropriate for me. As much as I enjoyed the workout, and I will go back, I do have a couple things that keep me from giving the studio five stars. First of all, I found the equipment to not be very clean. The parts of it that you touch are clean, but the components underneath the equipment were very dusty and dirty. I'm talking clumps of stuff on the equipment. And again it's not a part that I'm touching but when I'm leaning over doing a plank on the machine, I'm looking directly down on it. Then when I'm laying on my back, looking up at the ceiling, the big industrial looking vents that are on the ceiling are also covered in clumps of dust and dirt. I feel like these are things that they should be cleaning at least once a month just knowing that the positions that you get in for these exercises, the clients gaze will be directly on them. And judging by the amount of dust and dirt and lint, etc., on the surfaces, it hasn't been done in a very long time. The second thing is the microphone kind of seems a little hollow to me. When the instructor speaks, the music goes down, but then when the instructor stop speaking, the music volume goes back up and sometimes with the volume changing and the hollow sound it's difficult for me to tell what the instructor saying. This might just be a matter of my taste. I can definitely work around it and was able to follow the class because the instructor was really good about demonstrating everything.

I have been coming to Infinite Fitness for about 1.5yr and have done almost every workout (i.e…read more cardio/aerobics, tabata, Crossfit, HIIT, static weight training/lifting, DNS, sports, boxing, Pvolve, yoga, floor pilates) you can think of; however, what I love most about this studio is what an insanely difficult and challenging workout you can have by using a GRAVITY® Training System (GTS), to provide total body conditioning using resistance training. The machine itself and the variety of workouts you can imagine are wild, but what makes them so fun are the amazing instructors! I have taken class from about 4-5 different instructors but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Justine's classes the best! Her energy, instruction, program, music, and style make class so enjoyable, even when she's wiping you across the floor! Her combinations and programming are always challenging, but also dynamic and fun! You enjoy trying to pretend you look as good as they do demoing the exercise, but most importantly, you get a killer workout with the total body conditioning and strength training while it being low-impact. Don't be fooled by the simplicity and ease of doing an exercise - I don't always sweat like a maniac, but I always feel the burn and most times I burn out the muscles! Every other week they rotate the lower body exercise between lunges and squats, but every workout has a total body component that always includes upper body work and core. I found this place on ClassPass, but will likely purchase a package in the near future so the studio can have more direct income. There are several girls I've seen many times, so they have a very loyal and repeat membership. The studio is located on Morena Blvd, shortly before Costco in the PB area. Parking is on the street and not in the Fruit Stand parking lot. Traffic can be a little busy, but I've always been able to find street parking. They have several classes throughout the weekdays, with fewer on the weekend, but still many options. They have a water dispenser, and the studio is always clean and tidy. They also have everyone clean the equipment at the end of each class. I HIGHLY recommend this studio if you want a great workout that's low impact and will really help you strengthen and tone your body! Something to note is that there is only one park, so big dogs are combined with small ones. Theres a small obstacle course for dogs to jump and run through. And for the humans, there's also a few benches on the side to sit at.

There are four big pine trees with separate retaining walls around three of them for owners to sit down. With it being so close to the bay, there's often a nice breeze that goes through the park. There's no divide between small dogs and big dogs, so it's best to just keep an eye on your dog, and many owners around here are usually respectful. The street parking immediately adjacent to the park is free, however, it has a limit of 30 minutes, and the parking meter workers are strict on it if they're around. I bring my dog here around lunch time because those who live/ work in the area tend to bring their dogs during their break time and my dog gets his socialization time. They close 8am-11am MWF for maintenance/ cleaning. Currently, both gates are broken so it's not as secure as it should be, and who knows when the city will actually fix it. There're a few agility structures and a water dispenser. The children's park itself looks pretty cool for kids with a lot of structures with slides and swings. There's also another separate area with fixed exercise equipment that looks well- maintained. The water feature in the park is a water feature, not a pool.

GOODNEWS! If you're looking to: 1. Stand around gazing at the Adonis of a being you are in the mirror, while semi broadcasting a "workout sesh" you're not getting paid for all over social media... 2. Breathe recycled air full of pheromones, perfume & excretions of alcohol & various other toxins (protein farts)... 3. Leave with the same fresh set of makeup you applied before arriving to the gym while sipping on your pre-workout drink... Or 4. Continue moving around like a stiff tensed up maniac because you've been shortening your range of motion for years ... Then #GOODNEWS (there's help for us!) Please Go get your cherry popped over at the Movement Warehouse and see what a workout really is! On the contrary, if you love to actually workout and have been yearning for a little bit more/change of pace, then this is the place to be! I've attended about three diff sessions here which is about what it takes for me to do a review anywhere, and although we had a primary target of muscles to work, you're always working your full body and core with Mike (that's actually the owners name)! From anywhere between 45min to an hour you will be put through a continuous cycle of what seems to be decreasingly easier exercises, but they really aren't. Mike pairs the exercises done, EFFORTLESSLY on the brink of "I'm exhausted! & I got this!" Maybe the, "I got this" part is 50/50 tired, delusion mix or Mike being your personal motivator over his ever changing hype music (he's got a lil something for everyone). After the second round you'll be listening to your own heartbeat more than anything! Through a expertly woven mix of HIT work, weights, plyos, cardio, flexibility, body weight strength and core you will be PUT! And although this is primarily a group setting for their scheduled workouts, you won't be getting a way with half assing your workout. What I I love and respect about the Movement Warehouse is that the training encompasses education first and foremost, secondly you feel the camaraderie, and thirdly you'll learn to love flexibility and constant growth/challenges. Go to the Movement Warehouse if you actually care about your body and want people around you that feel the same. Some may call it boot camp style but you gotta give Mike a lot more credit than that. This guys knows his ish! Wether you're a dedicated cross fitter, power lifter , yoga guru, traveler that is visiting SD or everyday guy/gal trying to find a little time to work that body out, you gotta check it out for yourself. No matter your fitness level you'll feel both welcomed and challenged. Also, you don't have to take their classes but I encourage it for-sure. Most times you can drop in your first workout for free. Mike is that chill of a guy and has your best interest at hand. FYI It's also a clean and nice place to workout! On top of it all, its located right in the heart of beautiful Pacific Beach with both indoor and outdoor sections. They do consistent other activities that include food/celebrations. Movement Warehouse is all about functional fitness, and getting you into your best shape possible for healthy living. so none of that crazy cross fit heavy lifting or jerking movements. This place is awesome! As a personal trainer myself, I had been really struggling to find a group training facility that would give me a solid workout and the push I wanted. After one week at the Movement Warehouse, I knew I found what I had been looking for. It's the perfect cross between one-on-one personal training and group training. Sometimes the classes have 12 people and other times they might only have 3 (and that's when Mike can really spend a bit more time with you). Also, Mike is very knowledgable and supportive of your goals, which is so important. In addition, this isn't Crossfit...I've done that and at this stage of my life, I don't need/want olympic lifts to be part of my exercise routine...It's too risky. Fortunately, this facility focuses on functional movement training, which is the way to go. On top of that, there is an outside area covered in turf with sleds, battle ropes, tires and space to play (as an added bonus). Plus, it's partially covered, so you can find shade on those sunny San Diego mornings. Lastly, everyone is really nice and welcoming. So, if you're looking for a killer workout and you're not a newbie to training (in which case I'd suggest one-on-one training with Mike), then I'd definitely recommend the Movement Warehouse! read more

I have been training with Mike for a couple years now and I follow him where ever he goes! Now that he owns his own gym I know that I will be training at the Movement Warehouse as long I am in San Diego. Mike is the heart of the Movement Warehouse. He is energetic, fun, personable and knows what he is doing.I love this gym!!!! The circuits are challenging and I definitely leave the gym feeling better than when I came in. Mike will push me to work out harder in a fun and respectable way. The gym itself is amazing! There is a huge outside area to where everyone can enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather along with the inside part of the gym where all the weights are. The music is fun. Everyone who works out at the Movement Warehouse are all supportive, non-judgmental and will help you get through the workout. Love this gym and love the trainers. Mike is my main man, my muchacho, my number 1. The classes/workouts are, honestly, the best workouts I've ever gotten. I have been to crossfit, training for warriors, orange theory and everything in-between. There is the perfect mix of strength work vs cardio work. The classes are different every day and you feel pushed to be better by those around you. I have a torn rotator cuff and a problem with my lower back, but me and mike find modifications, as necessary, for movements that give me trouble. This Movement Warehouse has become my second home. No matter what day I've had, or what mood I'm in, I can walk in the door and everything is suddenly better. I've never enjoyed being at, or going to the gym before. However, everyone here is welcoming and friendly and the positive vibe is unparalleled. Took a Saturday morning class and loved it. Quick 5 or so minute warm up /stretch. Then another 50 min workout that was intense in a good way! Everyone was very supportive and kind. It was maybe 6/7 "stations" and you rotate through twice with 40 seconds at each station. Did two rounds of separate workouts. So it was never boring. Did 7 min of ab work afterwards. I believe each day and week is different but this is just what we did that day. The trainer Mike was very helpful and was giving modifications where necessary. Equipment was frequently in poor condition, some machines did not work properly, and basic facility expectations were not consistently met. There were also ongoing issues with air conditioning, and even simple amenities like stocked shampoo and conditioner were unreliable. If you choose to join, I strongly recommend getting any cancellation in writing and carefully reviewing what amenities are actually operational versus what is advertised.

I've tried all the new circuit classes from Revel Fit, Renegade, OTF, F45, and I guarantee that no one will program or kick your a$$ like Bryan at Versatile Fitness! This is a no-frills, old boxing gym vibe (think OG Rocky) where you come to WORK! Bryan's programming, exercise acumen, and super sets will challenge you, but also be some of the most effective and productive workouts. He has almost every piece of equipment I've seen in a gym from rowers, ropes, barbells, curl bars, pulley systems, sleds, water weights, benches, kettlebells, free weights, Terra core, TRX, bands, discs, and the list goes on. I have attended about 10 classes and I have yet to repeat a workout. It's insane the quality of training and programming you would get through this gym for the price. Anywhere else, it would cost thousands for this level of programming, so anyone who attends these classes is getting a steal of a deal for this type of workout! Classes are 45min, with several stations per class. Each day has a target focus such as pull, push, leg, abs, and/or cardio, depending on the day. The target is there, but you are always getting a decent total body workout. Each station has 2-3 exercises that you do 2 sets per station. You have around 3 people per station, and then you rotate. Bryan goes around to demo each exercise as you move stations, and also has the workouts written on a whiteboard at the front of the room. Bryan will also provide quick corrections, as needed. Please note, in large group class settings, rarely will get you get alot of correction or instruction. It's not feasible to have that much personalized focus in these types of classes. Each class starts with a short warm-up, and a quick cooldown at the end. I have only taken class with Bryan, as he is the staple of this gym. He also has an extensive background with over 20yr of experience and he also offers some nutrition and personalized coaching programs for fat shredding and other fitness goals. This gym is a hidden gem and morning classes are usually full. I am literally perplexed how the afternoon classes are not exploding with members because I have yet to see anyone have the stellar exercise programming and versatility that Versatile Fitness provides. I've seen so many different trainers and attended many gyms, and Bryan's programming is the most innovative and BRUTAL (in the best way), that I've experienced. If you're looking for a serious SWEAT, a great community, and incredible workouts, VF is the spot!
