Mud Room does it again! Husband and I dropped in after spending a morning touring hot springs near the area. All I really wanted was a hot breakfast paired with a strong iced coffee. We attempted to head over to the other bistro in town, however the insane crowd outside drew us away. So we decided to try Mud Room again. We got there just in time - soon after we arrived numerous crowds gathered behind us and around the storefront. I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito (sausage, cheese, egg, salsa and sour cream, $5.50) and my husband got a breakfast sandwich (English muffin, egg, and sausage with American cheese, $5.00). Each of us ordered iced Americanos with cream + sugar. The coffee, as always, was excellent. I really should check which roasters they use, because I love it and I know it's not cheap coffee. My burrito was absolutely fantastic! I loved how the sour cream and salsa were inside the burrito. It wasn't dry like many breakfast burritos. I loved and appreciated how the food is made-to-order, not pre-made and heated up. My experience with coffee shops that make their foods fresh has always exceeded shops that do not do the same (I understand many shops pre-make their meals to convenient both the customer and employees. That being said, I appreciate places that go the extra mile to make things fresh). I absolutely love this little coffee shop. I will be stopping by again. :)

Delicious coffee!! We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon, were greeted by super friendly ladies, and we all loved our coffees. There were quite a few sugar free options, which I really appreciate. I wish I had bought one of their shirts now in retrospect! Maybe next time....

I was ready for the fight of my life. I wore my special mud shoes and mud galoshes. Entering the mud pit, I became a champion. Mostly giving 4 stars because they exist as a stop up in the boonies. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, and it was pretty basic (3/5). Easy to park and walk around some of the shops after getting your coffee. The baristas were nice and there's some seating inside.

Just a perfect destination stop while you are taking a scenic drive through garden valley. This little coffee shop makes perfect cinnamon rolls, heated and topped with the absolute best frosting you will ever eat. Their drinks are made with care and attention to detail. There is room for a small group of two-four to relax and enjoy your favorite indulgence. I really love the mud room!

Super cute coffee shop (love the lights!), nice staff & quick service! Some girlfriends & I (7 of us) were up for a weekend away & this was such a great find! Coffees & cocoas were all correct & made hot enough to keep us warm on our walk through town on a snowy day! On our way out of town this morning, we stopped again & I bought a hat from their cute inventory stash of hats, shirts, sweatshirts, mugs & tumblers - this is a business I want to help advertise for anytime I can!

Friendly people and great coffee. They took time to get to know each customer that walked into the store.

I've only had coffee and milkshakes here and both are scrumptious! Don't pass this place without stopping!

Excellent breakfast sandwiches and hot chocolate. That's all I've had so far from this place, but I will definitely go back!

Sawtooth Hotel - Soy Glazed Brussels

The Sawtooth Hotel Restaurant is one of the most unassuming restaurants where I experienced one of…read morethe most exceptional meals I've had the chance to enjoy in all of 2024. When you first walkup to the hotel, you are met with a very rustic, cabin-esque hotel building where you wouldn't expect to find such a fine dining experience. We were sat outside which presented the opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sawtooth Mountain range. We ordered several dishes for our meal and every dish was just as amazing as the other! Bigwood Baguette: This was a great start to the meal! The baguette was baked to perfection and had the perfect amount of crunch to it. It comes topped with an herb oil and sea salt which added the most flavorful touch. Soup of the Day: Their soup of the day was a White Bean stew topped with rosemary and hern olive oil. The stew was rich without being too heavy and the seasoning was perfect. Soy Glazed Brussels: The soy sweet chili glaze had such a nice balance of sweetness and the slightest hint of spice. The crispy rice noodles and crumbled peanuts added such a nice textural contrast to the Brussel sprouts, which in my opinion were cooked to perfection! They were seared well without being too burnt or crispy. Beets & Burrata: Hands down one of the highlights of the whole meal. This dish came with a handful of components, that when paired together into one bite on a crostini, resulted in the most delicious amuse-bouche. The burrata was so light and fresh and I never knew that it was the perfect pairing with beets on a crostini. A MUST have. Columbia River Grilled Steelhead: Absolutely stunning. The Steelhead was executed beautifully and the mushroom asparagus risotto was cooked to perfection. Honestly, compliments to the chef for what seemed to almost be an experimental pairing with adding the sweet pesto and blueberry gastrique. Never could have I imagined these flavors being paired together atop a piece of salmon and I will not ever soon forget how flawless this dish was. Pork Schnitzel: This was my husband's dish which I did not have a bite of, but from what I could tell, the Pork Schnitzel was very well done. It was thinned out and tenderized very well and the breading looked like it was golden-crisped wonderfully. I did get to try the mashed potatoes and can remark that they were some of the best I've had! I had some of the lemon caper beurre blanc that was drizzled atop the dish and I would do anything to be able to have a jar of that at home. I am going to talk about this meal for a long time. If you are ever passing through Stanley, Idaho, it would be a giant mistake to not visit the restaurant at the Sawtooth Hotel.
