After waiting for a very long time a waitress came out and explained that they have a tiny little kitchen with one cook and they took orders on first come first serve. All tables we full and only a couple of people had their food. There was a party of 8 before us. After 30 minutes without putting our order in, we left. It was fine to tell us about the wait but maybe make a bigger kitchen or don't have so many tables. Haven't had a bad meal here! First, the Mr loves the coffee station.. right as you walk in you can fix it just how you like it in a convenient to-go cups. Love the Crouch Benedict on a fluffy biscuit and with sausage patty. The breakfast sandwich or panini are always my choice with the option on a croissant and adding bacon! Staff is typically a little sassy and fun and I'm thankful they show up to work with a good attitude. The fun signs are a cute, mountainy touch and good for a smile. read more

What a gem! We took my mother in law to crouch for the first time and she will for sure be wanting to come back her next trip in town. Our service was great, everyone so kind and happy to se everyone. My wife got the salmon melt which was absolutely delish! I was skeptic at first but I ended up eating more of it than her, wasn't overly fishy or a dominant salmon taste. The food was wonderful but the service and the hospitality is absolutely awful. Server let us sit for close to an hour and a half before any food was served. We are tourists and this stopped us from being able to do anything around town as we don't expect an hour and half wait before we even got food to the table. Multiple tables that came after us got their food and she passed us multiple times not realizing we were just sitting there with empty cups and plates as well. We were told that they were out of breakfast potatoes and then we watched a table that sat and ordered after us got the breakfast potatoes. As someone who has been in the food industry for multiple, MULTIPLE years you'd think that you'd give the table that has been here for close to an hour and a half with no food the only thing they ordered. They are definitely only in business still due to the fact that there is quite literally no competition in the small town. Would never recommend simply due to service and lack of care for anything other than a plate of biscuits and gravy. Three different servers on the floor and our food was forgotten. Owner came by and had absolutely nothing to say. Definitely on a high horse from again being the only place in town open. The shepherded scramble says chroizo and It is literally a beef hot dog. I've heard their toast is homemade sourdough and it sure looked and tasted like it. Unfortunately our eggs were over cooked and it felt like more of a quantity over quality but I would still come back. I like the small Town vibe and funny signs on their walls. I certainly won't buy it at Wild Bills again! $3.00 for a small seemed a little steep to me, but I did it "for the kids". Imagine my surprise when those small ice creams came back in cups so small they barely held six or eight bites of ice cream. If the ice cream had been something out of this world, I may have thought differently. But two of my kids ice cream was full of ice chunks and very grainy. I could have bought something much more high quality at the grocery store. They wouldn't even eat it. I was in the Garden Valley area for a week while my child was at a camp. I ate breakfast here everyday for 5 days in a row, because they offered free WIFI and I was working on some online classes. Let me start by saying, every single thing I ate was delicious! I love the menu and the food. This is what kept me coming back here and not seeking out WIFI at the local Library. In the 5 days I ate there, not once was a menu brought to me. I had to go to the front to order on multiple occasions. The last day I was there I decided to put them trough a little test. I waited for 30 min to see if they would bring me a menu. They did not even acknowledge I was there. (It is noted there was only one other single person and one couple there, so it was not busy) I walked up to the front and grabbed a menu, then returned to my seat to see if they would come take my order. Another couple came in and sat down over by my table. After about 15 min they were brought a menu, and the server noticed me with my menu and asked if I wanted anything. Besides walking in the door and them saying "Hi," this is the first time a staff member talked to me, that visit. It had been 45 min since my arrival. The Thursday I was there was the best staff, but still painfully slow and unaware. One day I was there, I heard the owner/cook talking loudly on her cell about a staff member throwing up all over the restaurant. Not what you want to hear while you are eating. Honestly, the food is good, and I will return. I just hope the teens working there start taking their job seriously, and the owner/cook starts acting like she cares about customer service and trains the teens to do their job. It is a very cute place in one of my favorite places in Idaho, I have told others to visit the restaurant, because the food is great! If you need help training your staff, let me know! I have done restaurant and customer service for years and would love to see this place really be the best it can be! There is no excuse for the poor customer service. read more

Went here to eat as the Longhorn was closed for remodel and Two Rivers isn't open for lunch. It was surprising that this place had quite an impressive menu for a coffee house in Garden Valley. They serve breakfast all day long. I opted for the eggs benny. We also ordered two of the panini sandwiches. One was a pastrami with cheese and tomato and the other was the breakfast panini with cheese, egg and ham. I immediately noticed an underlying taste of garlic with each bite. My son and GF said the same for their sandwiches. We figured it was carry-over from the flat top as all three of our meals had grilled meats on them. The eggs on my benny appeared to be cooked in a muffin pan. No big deal but overdone to the point that the yolks were solid. Even with the hint of garlic, it was ok. The breakfast panini was pretty good. Being that this seemed to be the only place in town to eat lunch, it was packed and took a bit to get our food out. There were only a couple couches in the back that were open. We sat at a small table and waited for a group to leave and stole their larger table before we got our food. The staff here was very friendly and who I presume was the owner checked on us a couple times. We did not try their coffee. Some of the other items on the menu include a tuna melt made with an ahi steak, and salmon and rainbow trout dishes. Prices are very reasonable. For three people with drinks, our tab was $22. The food is good, the service is horrible. Sat down and waited, ordered our food. When we trued to get the attention of someone for a water refill we were ignored by one of the worker. When we tried to get there attention the person snapped that the dont respond to people trying to get attention like that and the stomped off. When I added Managment about the rude employee I was told " ya he had a mouth on him" I was then told that he could talk to him, as he was leaving the table my wife said "Well we wont be back" the manager then came back and got very belligerent with us. So we left and will never return. I will also make it my point to warn anyone else in the area not to go there. You would think the Managment would treat locals a little better. read more

Love this little place! We stopped by last time we were camping at Silver Creek (still need my latte, camping or not). Unfortunately we had lunch across the street before we found Wild Bill's - walked in here for our coffee & were sorely disappointed that we had already stuffed ourselves with greasy burgers & fries. They had a great (much healthier) menu with lots of good lunch/deli items. Luckily, our coffees were awesome & we chilled & watched some football before heading out. So, after our winter sleigh ride yesterday we stopped by again to try out their lunch & it was lovely. I had the turkey croissant sandwich (fresh, very delightful), friends had the soup - clam/shrimp chowder (got great reviews), and some of the kiddos had breakfast (which they serve all day - very nice!). Our kids, 6 in total, were treated very well & the service was excellent. We even got some tips on where else we should check out next time we're in the area. I live in Washington, D.C. And every time I come to Idaho to visit I make sure to grab a dirty chai latte from Bills. It is simply THE BEST I've had from coast to coast. At one point I tracked down the brand they use so I could buy some out east.... It just wasn't the same. Stop by and try it out. Mediocre food, even worse service. We waited for quite some time for the waiter to come check on us because we needed water, for probably a good 20 minutes. We tried getting their attention by waving at them and even called out to one of them to get them to just get a water refill, which was ridiculous because they had a good 7 or more employees in the kitchen and only 3 tables to deal with including ours. My mother in law finally snapped her fingers, just one or two snaps to try and get their attention, which worked! We then asked the waiter to get us some water, but overheard one of them rudely and loudly talking about our table, in the middle of the dining room, practically in front of us. We were obviously upset by this, so we asked to see the manager. Unfortunately, while the manager said he'd talk to the staff, he mostly brushed off our comments like they were nothing. In fact he even gave us attitude and told us off quite rudely after we explained that we'd never come back. And so, even though I've only been here once I don't think I'll ever be back. And I certainly wouldn't recommend eating here to anyone. read more

We used to eat real frequently at Bill's, until one day our daughter went in with her Service Dog and Bill went ape and yelled/screamed for her to get the f $#% out with that dog.
