Awesome local music store! Popped in during my most recent trip to Puerto Rico last week and spend almost two hours checking out their awesome line up of acoustics, electric guitars and amps. I ended up falling in love with and buying a 3/4th size electric classical guitar that has a near full size neck with build into equalizer and tuner. It also came with a gig bag and an extra set of strings, all for about $150 +tax. This is my 5th or 6th guitar, and so far, has been worth every penny! I've taken her to four open mics so far and it's been a wonderful little addition to my lineup. Thanks to The Music Store for an awesome and unexpected guitar buying experience! read more

Very nice store, knowledgeable and helpful sales associates. I've gotten two guitars there and both were set up well. I also purchased and acoustic electric tenor ukulele as well as a soprano ukulele for my spouse from them and they were extremely helpful with recommendations! The ukuleles were a big hit with my spouse!! I also appreciate that they list what's in stock on their website, because many musical instrument stores in the area don't do that. If you are in Puerto Rico, this is the place to go for your guitar and musical instrument needs! read more

On different occasions I've had three different guitars set up by "Wichy" Ridríguez on a counter near the store entrance, with me studying the steps, asking questions and getting more familiar with the hardware and the expert's technique. I've paid reasonable rates, in cash, for the service and always been pleased by the professional yet friendly attitude of the staff. I can't leave without a handshake. The guitar, bass and amp selection is quite good. There are generally customers noodling away on some combination of these. There are effects, song books, cables and accessories, and other categories of modern musical instruments, like a sax in a glass display case yet presumably for sale. Drums sets, bongos, cymbals, sticks, etc. are on a mezzanine. I recommend this store. read more

Terrible experience. The owner was rude and refused to return an item. The employees were sweet people and I feel sorry for them. But overall as a music store it's better to go somewhere else. Selection is limited as well. read more
