Many, including myself, have had to endure hernia surgeries after his slash and cut procedures. I suppose a 2' scar through your belly isn't anything which requires attention to post op scarring worries? The last hernia op I endured he simply "glued". No staples, no sutures. It left a abnormal zig zag scar. Put hey....he got paid, who's gonna complain right? Another rating site had a respondent posting he expidited surgery after accepting a payment. Is this allowed with our health system in Canada? I thought not, but I could be incorrect. He also misdiagnosed Cancer to a patient and family. One would hope a Dr. would be absolutely certain prior to conveying such news to a patient including their family? He seems to be more about the money than caring, certainty or dilligence in his profession. Just keep BC Medical cheques rolling in and he will continue chopping, lopping and glueing them, back together. Best wishes if he is your surgeon. I suppose given the likely alternative of not having surgery, scars and uncaring doctors are secondary. If this does not concern you in any way or you have no alternate surgeon then Dr. Hamish Hwang is the guy for you.

I am horrified at the treatment administered to my family suffering in the ICU. The entire team of treating doctors (Dr. Vaz, Dr. Naude, Dr. Burke, Dr. Spicer, Dr. Martyn et al) completely rejected well-known evidence-based life-saving treatment that was requested repeatedly by the patient and family. Treatment that is safe, readily available, inexpensive, and used by top-level ICU doctors in other hospitals, saving thousands of lives. A highly toxic, experimental drug plus unnecessary invasive treatment was administered instead, WITHOUT INFORMED CONSENT. These doctors have betrayed their Hippocratic Oath. Your loved ones are not safe in their hands. None of them should be allowed to practice medicine. Please be warned.

While Dr. Motyer himself performed the work, the result left my heel still looking rough, uneven, and noticeably callused in several areas. Some skin appeared aggressively peeled while thicker dry skin remained around the edges. No moisturizing or finishing treatment was provided afterward. I also felt heavily pressured into purchasing additional socks that were repeatedly described as being sold "at cost," which made the experience feel more sales-focused than expected. After the work was done, I've asked why the other parts weren't taken care of, his answer was "that's because of the shoes you're wearing". This is insane, if he would have taken care of them, they would be dealt with.. but whatever I understand heels can look somewhat dry immediately after treatment, but for the price charged I expected a much more thorough and polished result overall. Unfortunately, the service felt rushed and disappointing. For future customers, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. For the cost charged, this experience was honestly hard to justify.
