I have been going to the Nail Pro for as long as they have been open and prior to that I had followed the owners as they worked on 3 other shops for over 2 decades. I always get a good job at a decent price. I feel respected and valued as a customer and I will continue to go there as long as Amy and Danny are there. There is no one who gives better nail service than Amy! I appreciate their hard work and their dedication to cleanliness and proper technique (post COVID). I have always felt very comfortable with Nail Pro. The shop is lovely, clean and the techs are accommodating and pleasant. However, lately they have started cutting back on the steps (at least on what I got which was a mani bio-gel). Because of this my mani started peeling at the sides. I cannot understand why they would choose to do this especially to a loyal customer and I'm truly disappointed. read more

This salon is good, but pricey for the area (comparably speaking) and they're always busy... that's a good thing for them, but when they advertise that they accept walk-ins, then tell you to come back in 4 hours, that doesn't work for me. Perhaps they need more staff to help accomodate for the business they're getting? I went on a Wednesday afternoon, thinking it would be a quiet time, hoping to get shellac nails done before I left for a trip... I was told they were too busy and to come back in four hours. I went across the street to Top Nails, had my nails done on the spot with no wait, and for cheaper (and it was a FANTASTIC job). Since I can never get into NailPro when I need to, I've stopped even trying. They should be more clear that due to how busy they are, you have to have an appointment. read more

I have lived in Durham region for 4 years and been shopping for a nail salon. I have been to 15 and they all were awful especially at the Oshawa centre Nails for us. I stumble on the Nail pro from a recommendation from a friend and it is the first place that is professional, honors appointments on time and has a beautiful atmosphere. I got my nails done at this nail salon yesterday. Please DO NOT go to this salon! The people working here are NOT nail pros (as they say in their name)! I had an extremely unpleasent experience. First of all, the people working here do not know anything about customer service and did a TERRIBLE job with my acrylic nails. I don't know how they are still in business. After getting my nails done at this salon, I had to go to another salon and get the nails removed and had to pay for a whole new nail job somewhere else. From my experience, acrylic nails usually take aprrox. 35-40 minutes to do. This salon did a rushed job on my nails and finished within 20minutes. When I told the woman I didnt want my nails to be too long, her response was: "its too late". She continued to do do my nails without considering my needs as a customer. I was shocked. Then she left me at the drying station, packed her bag and left the store! No one came to me to tell me I was all done, no one asked if I was satisfied with the service. What a joke! The whole salon was empty....I wonder why. I talked to the owner, the asian man who works at the front desk when I went to pay and showed him my nail job. I had skin hanging off my fingers, extra acrylic spilling over, empty gaps near my cuticles, under my nails and BUBBLES forming inside the acrylic. His reaction was unprofessional. He scoffed at me and said that the nails are supposed to take 20min and it was a good job! He said that taking off the skin (that was hanging from all my nails was an extra 10$ and offered to cut them off himself! Of course I said no! I am very disappointed with this salon and will never return again. Today the acrylic started to peel off near the cuticle...after only ONE DAY. I would not reccomend this place to anyone! They are basically stealing peoples money and passing themselves off as a professional nail salon which they have no business doing. I hope that people see all the genuinely terrible reviews this place is getting and it saves them from making a mistake and wasting their time and money. read more

This place used to be so great. The last time I went o had a horrible experience. I had to get my nail fixed because it broke after three days of being done. I did a walk in last week and I received shellac nails in a cranberry colour. The job was so terrible, there was no paint on the sides of some of my nails and two of my nails were peeling the next day (I think they weren't filed down to get enough traction). I ended up removing them on the weekend. This was very disappointing and I do not feel I got my moneys worth. I did hear back from a staff member when writing, just stating that if the colour was still on they would repair the nails free of charge. I had taken the rest of the colour off, because I didn't want to walk around with mismatched nails. Also, who has the time to go back and get the work fixed. Of course it should be free. An entire new manicure should be free! I would not recommend this salon, there are many more in Ajax I have frequented that surely has better customer service. read more

Bullshit! Went in and asked specifically for a shellac, walk up to pay and the 'nail pimp' tries to charge me 40!! I'm like no way- he then proceeds to tell me I should have told them- umm I did and I was NOT paying for it!! Ended up paying 25 and gave the girl a 5 dollar tip although she got smudges on my skin- I've been before for pedicures and that too was a rushed shitt job- NEVER GOING BACK!! Save your money ladies- and the 1 star I gave was an accident- no starts for the service at this place- I'll travel to my regular spot in East York before going here EVER again!!! read more

I have lost all respect for the owner and this place. Long story short I got a $60 gift certificate from my boyfriend for Christmas for this nail place. A nail salon I always go to. How exciting! Not having to pay anything because I got a gift certificate!!.... Ya right apparently it doesn't work that way? So I made sure I asked if I could just use some of the gift card because I just wanted my nails done, yup no problem. Get them done, go to pay.. "That will be $38 please" perfect! I will have $22 left on my certificate to come back! Hahaha NOPE! Apparently I have to get taxed on it? Leaving me with $17.06.... What?? It's a gift certificate! How can you tax someone on it! It's cash!! But nope the owner had nothing to say. Next, my mom goes in with a $30 gift certificate, perfect right? Thought about Just getting a pedicure but was convinced to get her nails done too... Might as well right? Total comes to $68! Ok so she owes them $38 cash.. NOPE! Has to pay tax on the gift card and instead her total changes to $71.... WTF. BRUTAL! So basically this owner LOVES to rip people off, apparently if you want a gift certificate to this place DONT DO IT, ask the person to give you cash? Or better yet, go to a place that will respect their customers and make them want to go back, cuz I sure as hell don't want to go back to spend my $17.06 and get taxed a second time. Best nail salon in my immediate area!! When I need a quick fill or nails in a hurry I'll always come here. No appointment is needed and wait times are typically not longer than half an hour without an appointment. Staff is friendly and the nail techs are all good for the most part. Mary is definitely the most talented at the salon and I would recommend her, as I have to many of my friends. The atmosphere is nice and the space is a good size. There is a good polish colour selection as well. I don't usually feel rushed at the salon unlike others in the area, and the pricing is comparable. read more

I was a walk in - got me in quickly but felt there was an issue with the owner and staff member - but, I do not understand their language asian. She put me in a chair with hand signals and started the massage chair at full speed nearly knocked me off the chair. Rushed through the pedicure - throughout the session she was speaking with the other staff members in again asian Uhm - uncomfortable. This place is ridiculously over priced! Went in for a mani/pedi (shellac on my hands), when I booked I was told that it would be $55. I got a design on my toes and sparkles added on my hands, which consisted of the nail tech dabbing my hands with sparkly polish. When I went to the cash I was told it was $70, I asked why it was so much and was told because I got a design and that the dabbed sparkles was $10. After tax it was $80, which is absurd! I would expect to pay that in a decent salon with actual estheticians, not in a production line type nail shop. To top it off, the designs weren't even that great! I used to go here last summer to get my acrlic nails done and pedicures. Stopped for a while to give my nails a rest. I went back again in February and am totally dissapointed. They did a terrible job on my nails and my pedicure well I may have well done it myself. The acrylic was not put on properly it did not even cover my whole finger nail, then they did not file the properly or clean out under the finger nails , all the stuff from filing was stuck under my nails had to clean them myself when I got home.. they tell you 25 for acrylic then when you go to pay oh well we put on white tips thats 10 extra .....will not be returning ever......and will be passing the word around that its no longer a good place to go. read more
