I brought my mother here for her birthday as a last minute girl's nail day. We did not have an appointment but asked the man at the desk if he could accommodate 2 manicures. He said they were busy and the wait would be at least a half hour. We said we would wait, acknowledging that because we didn't call in advance. A full hour later we were still waiting. When we asked when we would have our turn, we were told that it wasn't "their problem" that we chose to wait and were treated very rudely. If they couldn't accommodate us, they should have just said so and not wasted our time. These people need a lesson in manners and in customer service. Transparency is a must! read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Did not like my last mani, pedi. First of all I asked if they did something special for the holidays such as painting snow flakes on the nail a and was told yes but when I got there they only offered sparkly gel polish. Just now I was there just to get a classical mani, which I needed because the gel was making my nails papery thin and they were going to charge me an extra $10.00 to remove the gel. If they had told me this over the phone I would have removed the polish myself. read more

This is the second missed call and voicemail I have had from this company. They wrongly put my phone number on someone's file and I have no way of contacting them since their website doesn't work and I cannot find a contact email. I'm overseas for a long time so having to check my voicemail costs me 3$/minute!! Not impressed. This is my phone for emergencies, not for nail salons to be spamming me and having me worry that it is an emergency!! I was called at 11:20am on Sat Feb 9th (most recent call from them). my daughter and I went to the salon at feb 19 2023. before going to the nail salon I asked how much a full set of acrylic nails would be and I was told it was 40.00. I was getting my pedicure done while my daughter was on the opposite side of the salon getting her nails done. basically what she got was a full set of nails which are not even long with french tips. the french tip was oval so the man charged 40 for the full set then said it was extra 5.00 for the length which was not even long and 25.00 for the french tip because it was oval. total I paid 80.00 all the nails are not even and all shaped different my daughter is not happy with the way it looks. I had to ask for a break down many times to the man and he couldn't even break down prices i got frustrated paid and left. I have been coming here for years and this is now a scam I now see what everyone is saying about this salon. stay away you can get better prices and quality work. they take advantages of youths because they don't really know what they should be paying! Went back for a second visit to get a toe polish change & to remove nail Shellac & apply a new color. I can't rave enough about how great their method of removing Shellac is. Totally painless & 100% effective with zero nail damage. Another flawless application of Shellac. I really like this place. However, like majority of nail salons the technicians speak in their language with each other...pretty much non stop. It's a very irritating thing to listen to not to mention quite rude but otherwise this is an excellent nail salon & I will definitely return. read more

When I moved to Ajax, this was the first nail salon I started going to. I went a couple of times and my nails looked great, but a friend of mine who already lived in Ajax told me about a cheaper salon so I started getting my nails done there. However, I still chose to go to this salon for other services excluding nails. I have found that on every occasion I've been there for other services, the man at the front desk who I am assuming is the owner or manager has been extremely rude. There have been plenty of times where I would call ahead to ask if there was someone available for a certain service and he would tell me yes and once I showed up he'd have me waiting for an hour and say the person is busy and to come back! If I don't call ahead and walk-in asking for a service other than nails, his demeanour changes and he becomes very short with me. I think the other services I get are great and the people that do them are amazing, but this bully at the front desk completely ruins the experience. As a paying customer, he should learn to treat everyone the same and practice good customer service! I'm debating if I even want to continue going there!!!!!!! There are too many nail salons in Ajax to have to deal with such bullshit all the time. read more

Tried this salon today. It was very busy and there are lots of chairs for pedicures. However, having said that the procedures are basically a production line. Pedicures are done as fast as possible and while this is happening you get your manicure with the shellac heaters on your lap. If you go for a pedicure In part for a relaxing foot and leg massage, forget it..no time for that. The end result was a not bad pedicure and a barely ok manicure, the polish was sloppy in my nails. Won't go back, would prefer a more intimate setting where there is a bit of interaction and a caring result. read more

I paid $60 dollars for a bio gel fill and one of my nails broke and I had to get a fake tip the tech (Danny) did not fill my nail properly it was uneven and bumpy I told him it was not even and it needed more gel he said it's fine cuz it's a new tip that's how itd suppose to be. your nails should always be even no matter if it's your real nail or a fake one, he wouldn't fix it until I was done and I ask two more times. I just feel I'm the customer I should feel and be happy with my nail since I'm paying not the tech telling me it's fine and he's satisfied, very Danny does not care if your a satisfied customer or not. read more

They always do a great job here and everyone is really friendly. The salon is very clean and I love that their manicure tables have suction built into them to get rid of nail filings instead of it going back into the air and you breathing it in. Their prices are comparable to other salons in Durham. I like that they don't try to push add ons on you, driving the price up, like they do at other salons. read more

I've been to this nail salon several times over the years. What keeps bringing me back is the fact the place is so clean. My latest visit I had a pedicure and Gel nails put on. It was a slow moving process because I got the man at the front desk for the nails. He is also the one who answers the phone and greets all the customers. He had at least a dozen phone calls while I sat there, and even more than that with people walking in looking for services. It's very frustrating - it took close to 3 hours. The pedicurist didn't speak any English so I couldn't ask anything. But possibly what bothers me the most is the fact this place is a "Spa" which implies a serene, peaceful experience which was definitely not the experience I have ever had. The pedicurists all talk to each other while doing your nails. Stopping to have a laugh with each other. That is extremely annoying and frustrating. While having the gel nails put in another manicurist stood and talked to my guy the entire time. My gel nails don't look the best, a very sloppy job with uneven nails. But after 3 hours listening to that nonstop chitter chatter I wanted out. It was very expensive too. I think I'll take my hard earned money elsewhere next time. But unfortunately most of these places are the same. read more

HORRIBLE. I read reviews on Yelp and thought I could give this place a shot - BAD MISTAKE. I had an appointment with Phanny and she did not take good care of my nails at all. She was SO rough when filing and shaping my nails that at one point my nail bent back. It hurt like a b****! I was getting my shellac removed, and a new colour reapplied. HOW HARD CAN THIS BE?!?!?! Phanny left my nails BUMPY, didnt apply the colour all around the nail, and just did an all around horrible job. Never coming back here again. read more

However, the lady that sits in the front has a nasty, vile, gutter attitude. She really should not be greeting or speaking to clients because she does not have a clue what customer service is. She's one of those people that think they are better than everyone else but she has no class whatsoever. I previously had a good experience here however one of the estheticians kept digging into my toe I'm assuming to cut a hang nail. I told her it was hurting but she didn't stop, resulting in making my toe bleed. She kept trying to stop the bleeding which did take some time. Upon paying for my pedicure I made it known to the owner what happened and I wasn't pleased and felt I shouldn't have to pay full price. Not his problem. Months later I did go back as it's close to my home and I told the esthetician what happened last time and to please be careful. This time I had an excellent experience. Just this past week I once again went back and had a different esthetician who had been there for quite some time. As I thought she was one of the more experienced, I didn't feel the need to tell her to be careful. After all I feel they should be anyway. Well big mistake on my part. At one point she did something and I told her it hurt. Next thing I know my toe is bleeding. Not as bad as the first time but bleeding just the same. I expect to be able to have a pedicure without coming away with an injury that could result in an infection. If these women can't do a pedicure without causing pain, they should get out of the business. I will definitely NOT be going back. read more
