It's a federally owned hatchery that is producing two local types of fish to put back in the wild! We were provided a 20 minute tour by Emma. The tour was very informal. I could have been on the tour longer as was so interesting. After the tour, you can walk around the museum and hatchery. I'd not interested in a tour, you can walk around by yourself. At this place you can even fish in the small pond in the back, although I hear the fish are smart so you may not catch one! Open daily 8-5.

I visited in person to confirm that they accept general delivery packages from all major carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx). I was told yes and no form or fee was required. I followed their instructions exactly when addressing the package. According to tracking, my package was delivered on a Friday. When I went in on Monday to pick it up, the only employee on duty, Will, told me it "probably hadn't been sorted yet" and asked me to come back the next day, citing that he was too busy to check. When I returned on Wednesday, Will was there again and he told me without checking that the package had likely been returned to sender. When I asked for clarification, the explanation shifted to say it had definitely been returned, though Will made no effort whatsoever to check for the package in the back. Will just kept telling me they can't locate it because it's a fed ex tracking number and he sent me to fed ex to look for it (surprise it wasn't there). Additionally, be prepared for long wait times--there's usually a 20-minute line at minimum. Based on my experience, I would not recommend relying on this location for anything important that you aren't willing to get lost in the mail.

It was a big archway at an entrance to a park -but what exactly was that arch made of? Well, there are really four arches at every corner of the park, and they are made from elk antlers. They were built by the local Rotary Club in 1953 and have become a beloved Jackson Hole icon as a landmark and photo backdrop for wedding shoots and family portraits. I read that each of the four arches are made of between 1,000 to 2,000 pounds of antlers. The local Boy Scouts pick up antlers that were shed at the Elk Refuge for the arches and harvest them for the arches. Each antler weighs between 5 and 10 pounds, and are mechanically attached around a steel frame to create these magnificent arches. I also read that the antlers degrade over time, so constant inspection and replacement is necessary.

There is lodging, dining and many outdoor activities that you can participate in. For activities, you can ski or snowboard at the resort, do some climbing, paragliding, ice skating, go on a dogsled tour or ride the gondola. It's like a mini city here with a post office, grocery store and a gas station also on site. Teton Village has about twenty restaurants if you are looking for food options. Before I left, I did an early morning walk and explored the village. You can't beat the beautiful scenery with the mountains in the background.

Comfy chairs, would be better if the chairs didn't force you to sit so upright, but a fantastic break after walking around downtown. It's a busy Broadway street and lots of cars going by. The Chambers is closed, but they do make it inviting to come and sit a spell.

The restaurant we were going to that night was also across the street from the park and we wanted to see the best route to take from our hotel to this area, hence hanging out in the park for a little bit. The park has a lot of amenities, including areas you can rent out for large parties. There are courts for games like pickleball and a nice open grassy space. The playground is very cute and kids of all ages would probably love to play on the sets. There is a nice looking bathroom but unfortunately, they close for the winter, beginning on October 1st.
