I had a total of 4 different vendors provide quotes and discuss the problem with me. Turns out there was only 1 downspout handling the entire side of our house. Wood & Wood was great to communicate with (much of it via email and photos which was just fine for going back and forth on some smaller details) and they had the best price. They came and were very quick to remove the old gutter install a new length of gutter and the new downspout and clean up everything. And considering I was at work while they did all the work I really wouldn't have known they had been there at all! I signed a contract to have my siding replaced on 4/14, paid the initial deposit on 4/16, and a…read moreproject manager came out on 4/30 to do a walk through of the project and ask clarifying questions. I had to reach out to my sales person, Josh, to get that scheduled since I didn't hear from anyone in the days following deposit payment. I was told that materials would be ordered, taking about four weeks so the project would begin in early June. In mid-June -- after the project should have started -- Josh reached out to schedule a walk-thru with another PM, Norm, on 6/22 who asked all the same questions. Not reading from notes to confirm, just "pretend like we're starting from the beginning and tell me what we're doing here". They assured me this was a final run through and the project should start in early July latest. But they clearly hadn't ordered the materials in early May since I was still being asked about colors and other basics. In mid-July Norm reached out to let me know materials were delayed initially but now discontinued and I confirmed that assuming materials arrived in the next two weeks I wanted to proceed as planned. He assured me that was a realistic timeline. I finally received an email letting me know my project was estimated to start on August 6th. Norm reached out to confirm the materials had arrived in their staging area and would be dropped at my house August 3. And they did. August 6th arrived and no word no workers. I reached out to Norm who let me know there was a bit of delay and the project would start on August 10th. On August 10th Norm arrived to do an inventory of the materials he had access to for about two weeks. Unfortunately the supplier hadn't sent all the appropriate materials so he would submit a rush order and they should arrive by end of week. He could have inventoried them when they arrived at the Henderson staging area, he could have inventoried them the week prior when they arrived at my house. But he waited until project start day. Unsurprisingly the materials did not arrive by end of week so I was told there would be a two day pause and work would resume Wednesday 8/19. Which it did, but I went from six workers racing through the project to two workers who seemed to be working around the edges of the project. And here we are on Monday 8/24 and the workers simply didn't show up. No word from Norm on more pause time or a reason for the delay. Just work stop. I was informed at the very beginning that the project could be delayed if there was unexpected wear and tear under the original siding. The one spot that was flagged took 1/2 day to repair -- I work from home so can follow along easily! On week one the workers showed up on all days rain was forecast and worked until rain started, if it did start. These are not the reasons for the delay. It's pure mis-management. Called the local HQ in the hopes I could get honest answers about why my project has been delayed and ignored and haven't heard back. Long story short, don't use Henderson for siding if you value honest, consistent communication and accountability from leadership about their employees mis-steps.
