I visited this location on a Saturday bc it was one of few notaries open last 3pm. They are open til 7pm..really convenient. This is a small notary shop in a strip mall. They offer a wide range of services at a reasonable price. I had to get 3 pages of legal documents notarized with 2 different signatures...cost was $35. Be prepared to possibly wait. The notary was friendly but she was the only one working. Several people started coming in which made for a slow process since most services are not and in and out type of thing. Overall it was a good experience so i would recommend this location for your notary needs. read more

Came during Covid to get my license and vehicle registration updated with my new address since I have moved. When I first got there, I realized I forgot my payment method, left and came back within 30 minutes. No one was there except the employees the 1st time, but by the time I got back, there was a line and they were already helping people. I read the reviews before coming here, and they all seemed very negative. My sense is that it is probably just better to come in than to call. I had absolutely no problems. The notary was fast and friendly, and the service was only $10. I'm thinking that being a notary must actually be a difficult job in the same way any public service can be difficult. All day long you meet people from so many different walks of life. Some people are pleasant. They come in, let you do your job, pay, and walk out. Some people come in with a boatload of complicated personal problems, attitudes, and a huge lack of education (especially when it comes to paperwork and legal matters). It's ok notaries, I've got your backs. People will hate on you for being tired of the average person's stupidity and rudeness, but I teach English, and I guarantee you, our jobs are not too dissimilar. read more

I'm not sure his name, but he had a very bad attitude when we were simply asking questions that he's actually getting paid to answer. And when I told him he has a poor attitude he smirked and walked off. Very unprofessional.! My mom says she usually sends ppl here because it's in close proximity to her job, but after our own personal experience it will NEVER happen again.! I WILL wait 2 hours at the DMV before stepping foot in this business again.! I WILL search for alternatives when it comes to getting something notarized. 5 star experience! - no line - friendly service with a SMILE - knowledgeable staff that seem to actually like their work - quick and fast turnaround - takes cash (unlike the DMV) - super cold a/c - even has tools to help you take off your license plate Definitely worth not having to deal with the hassle of the DMV! All for the low convenience fee of $18. BUT you get your plate and registration immediately for the new car. Who's got time for those temporary plates, right? Pro tips: 1. Make sure you've gotten your insurance to the new vehicle before doing a title transfer. 2. They only have a screwdriver and pliers to remove your old license plate. If your plate is screwed on there super tight (like mine was), either loosen it before you get there OR have a side wretch on hand for easy removal. 3. You'll need two witnesses to notarize any act of donations. When we went, we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come to help notarize our stuff. Ended up working out since the witness actually had power tools to help me remove my old plate. read more

What HORRIBLE experience! After calling the day before and asking what I needed to complete a transaction, taking detailed notes and going in the next day to be told "NO, we cannot help you" by an incredibly rude older lady at the front counter. I am appalled by the lack of customer service this place offers. We left there and went to another notary on where they cheerfully helped us with no problem. I WILL NEVER GO BACK to The Notary Shoppe in Metairie again and I will make sure to spread the word on social media as well. Good riddance! read more

Avoid this place at all costs!!!! My 18-year-old son goes to the notary Shoppe to register his new vehicle there's a problem with the bill of sale so my son calls me to try to explain the issue with the bill of sale. He's not sure what the gentleman is trying to convey to him so I asked my son to put the gentleman on the phone so you can explain it to me so we can get everything straight. Gentlemen refuses to get on the phone with me to explain what issues need to be corrected WOW. I would go to the DMV and wait three hours before I step foot in the Notery Shop again!!!!!! read more

I went to do a title transfer for a car I bought from a good friend of mine with a Tennessee title. I have done this several times in the past at the notary shoppe in Kenner with no problems, but this time the lady claimed that I have a fake title. I told her I bought this car from a trusted friend, as I have done several times in the past and never had a problem. I do respect her right to question the out of state title, but she didn't even bother to verify it. Not sure what she expected me to do with a car that has a paper trail that I paid thousands of dollars for. I took a walk of shame through the waiting area and out the store feeling like a criminal. I went a few blocks down the road to Quik Notary Services and within 15 min I had a license plate in my hand and within a week I had a new LA title in the mail. I guess the lady just didn't want to be bothered with me and she won't have to worry about that anymore as I'm moving all my business and family business which involves at least 3-5 notary services a year somewhere else. read more

Every time I call, the woman says "Notary Shoppe" and she puts you on hold. I've called 3 times so far and held for over 8 minutes each time. Only the second time did I even hear her say "Please hold". She's answers and clicks you so fast, you don't know why the line goes silent. I just have to ask a question before I go there and probably receive the same crappy customer service. I'd rather know they can do what I need before I go sit in front of them and get made to feel like my time isn't important. I'm already dreading going but they are the only place open. I guess they think that excuses crappy customer service. Now I see other reviews of how rude the woman is. Make sense. read more
