Their specials were sea bass and Langoustine cocktail, both of which our dining partners said were terrific. I had an appetizer portion of mussels, which were served with GF toast. The broth was creamy and garlicky, and lovely to sop up with the toast. My husband had the steak and ale pie, and was in heaven, I wish I had tried the mackerel pate! Our server, Arran, was delightfully warm; helpful; and sweet.... Absolutely darling. We had one person in our party with dietary restrictions and he spoke with the chef and they were able to adjust a menu item to accommodate those needs. It was very much appreciated. Most unfortunately when it came time for dessert they were out of the sticky toffee pudding! We were so sad, but the server sent us for a walk down the road to another place for dessert.
