Happy to return here again as it's simple food that satisfies some of the fussy eaters ( Childrens) needs that don't like spicy or exotic or fancy foods. It's an easy option when going out with several people that maybe fussy or have plain tastes but still nice enough to enjoy.

The food was so good in fact, that we came nearly every week for the time we stayed in Castlemaine. There's options for vegetarians as well, it's not your traditional pub food fare. I really liked the feel of the place. It feels familiar and welcoming, vibrant and chill all at the same time. The staff here make you feel at home. It's bustling with locals, there's heaps of live music. And there's a vibin' beer garden back patio. The Bridge Hotel is located right across from the Castlemaine botanic gardens. Just a stone's throw away from the station but away enough from anything that it seems to stand alone. Can't wait to venture back for Mondays in Mexico!

They then returned to the kitchen (which can be seen from the table we were sitting at), and proceeded to physically POINT at us while in conversation with another staff member. The other staff member then visibly rolled her eyes. I'm not sure whether it was because we specifically checked to make sure soy milk was used (sorry for being lactose intolerant, I guess?), but I would definitely prefer to think it was that over the alternative, which is that the staff were discriminating against us based on our relationship. All our pizzas were vegetarian, the sauce was well seasoned but not too complex, the dough is a bit too chewy, probably due to a high gluten content. Mushroom variant was pleasantly fragrant and the classic margarita had the right amount of cheese. It could use a bit more basil to complement the char on the dough. Overall a solid start, with a few tweaks down the road this should be a true Neapolitan pizza place.
