Starting with a garlic bread I was delighted with the portion and buttered both sides. Our mains did take an extended period to come out which under the circumstances is acceptable as they were run off their feet. I was pleasantly surprised to see a large portion for the lasagna for the main. Neat presentation. Gooey, melted cheese and beautiful consistency to the mince sauce. The sauce itself could have used more seasoning for me but by no means was it a bad meal. The history on the walls contributed to the warm, homely ambience of the place. Visually inviting to the eye. Coffee was smooth, creamy with sharp notes but further to that the hero was the burger, a delightfully simple burger with high quality ingredients, and very well cooked, I could see this is something that was well presented coming in well wrapped paper with a traditional burger box. Right next door to the bakery (which is also outstanding) if you're lucky enough to be out that way you could drift into el gordo in Huntly and be very well rewarded.
