I believe this is one of the newer locations as well. The studio is gorgeous. Well decorated and they gave big windows that let in a lot of light. Their lobby area is spacious and has cubbies, changing rooms and bathrooms. They have complimentary tea and cookies that are delicious as well. I took the LivFree power UP class on Saturday morning. It's one of the longer classes at 90 minutes but the last 30 minutes of class ended up being more stretching/cool down. It's your typical vinyasa type yoga flows in a heated room. What I liked about this location over West Hartford was that the space didn't feel crowded at all. The room was really big and even though there were probably around 30 people in class, we all had more than enough room. All in all, a good yoga studio with some classic yoga classes. Definitely worth a try. And your first visit to any Yoga Shop location is free! Note: this location doesn't have a drinking fountain so you'll either need to bring your own water, get it from the tap or buy some.

Though I have brought beginners as guests, they have all found it to be too warm and too difficult. For me, however, this studio is perfection. The teachers are supportive and welcoming and all are masters of their craft. The owners, Annie and Kim, have built a wonderful, luxurious business and welcome all who enter. The barre classes can be intense, but the instructors always make a point to say listen to your body. If you need to stop, just take a break and go back into it when you can. The yoga classes have been great. I love Alyson's classes, especially the energy medicine class. Very restorative. I have my own mat, but tend to come straight after work and just use their mats. There is a changing room that can be used to change into workout clothes. The staff is engaging, the location is nice with lots of parking (same parking lot as Ken's, but in the back of the building to the right), the pricing for the class cards is reasonable, and the studio is clean and inviting. I have watched my body transform and it continues to get leaner and stronger the longer i stick to a routine. I mainly go to classes by TK and Taylor but all the instructors are highly skilled. TK is extremely upbeat and innovative instructor and truly encourages everyone to just try their best and the results will happen and Taylor reminds me that I always have it in me to make it through until the end of the class. Although Samadhi's is some distance from the closest highway exit, it's easy to get to and is located in a spacious plaza with plenty of parking. Personally I prefer heated and very hot yoga. Though I find them fun and engaging, the only classes that provide that type of heat are the "vigorous" classes. All other classes are room temperature, so dress accordingly. Honestly, consider taking as many classes as you can. Find what challenges you. For first-timers and/or beginners, FRET not! There are a number of classes catered to your needs. Even though there are two separate bathrooms, there is no changing area for men or women. This can be annoying if you're coming straight from work. Also, there aren't any showers. So depending on how sweaty you get, keep that in mind if you are looking to attend their 545 or 6am classes before work. Otherwise, the staff and instructors are very pleasant and accommodating. Oh! They always seem to offer a Groupon to first-time students for a month of unlimited yoga classes for $40 (normally $115 value) so take a look into that if you haven't already.

All the instructors are friendly, and very good. The classes can get crowded on weekends and holidays, but that actually can make it more fun, for example figuring out how to do full locust (friendly pat for your neighbor on the head before the posture starts). The showers work well, which is great because most people get very sweaty. Once a year Shelly runs a bingo-card like contest for a couple of months with great prizes, and I love winning prizes! (In fact one of the bingo squares requires I write a review on yelp! So there will be lots more of these reviews soon!) I would recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in Bikram Yoga!

But the real issue for me is that the customer service and the instructor quality can be horrible. I've tried this place a couple of times, and stopped going each time because of bad experiences. If you are interested, give it a shot for their intro special ($20 for 10 days of unlimited classes), find an instructor that you like, and take ONLY their classes.

I have yet to take a class with Justine, the owner, but I have had a few classes with Kate and Nicole at this point. Nicole's beginner class has a great pace for beginners; the flow is easy enough to focus on the poses, and the classes have been no more than 10 people in the evenings. Kate will definitely push you to work your body. She had a good "flow" to her class and made us sweat. I've gotten really speedy responses over email concerning billing and booking questions, which is great customer service. I wish there was just a little more space in the entry way for putting on boots, hanging up coats, and waiting for the last class to finish. I look forward to trying some of their other classes, like Aerobic-Lates and even Barre.

I wanted my lower back to be avoided due to an annular tear in L4 and to focus on my right trocanter because of my sciatica. Unfortunately, as much as she agreed and acknowledged my request, none of it was followed through.
