The current options are a $10 donation to shop in their aisle or a free grocery cart of food. Their aisle is 2 levels and has 13 slots per level. This can have anything you mind find in a grocery store. There is a limit per item. You are given a grocery cart to use and do your own shopping to suit your familys tastes/needs. If you choose the free option there is a cart already prepared. Their hours of operation are limited and they do require a one time registration.

They were also nice enough to give us a tour of the inside of the life center. I think this center is so awesome in the fact that they support the local community who experience hardships from divorce, health issues, job loss, the pandemic, etc. They use a holistic approach over a one year period to provide assist and help you with a plan. They offer food programs, bill assistance and clothing. They do have a drive thru food pantry and financial assistant for rent and utility bills for permanent residents of Coweta and Fayette counties. They help families save around $9k a year which is amazing. They have the most organized clothing area and food pantry, you can also volunteer in the food pantry. This center also provides cooking classes and they teach you different recipes that you can use for the fruit and vegetables they provide. They do have other fruits that you can pick and they also have a garden. This was a great experience and I was more than happy to volunteer for this community.

I came to the ACFB for a volunteer event with my work. This was my second time back. I always enjoy…read moremyself when I come here. The staff is all so nice and they do such a great job at explaining what ACFB is all about and how we can all do our part to contribute to something for a greater good. Both times I went, I was sorting food and making sure the appropriate things were getting passed through, and discarded if they weren't. I always have so much fun doing this, and the time just goes by so quick. It never really feels like you're working when you come here. It's just so much fun being with so many people all there for the same reason. I definitely plan on coming back in the future.

I'm finally back in Macon after 10 years and now have a new store to visit for my essentials. They have a $15 deal that gives you a few fresh produce plus several other items to halfway fill up the cart - then you get to pick 10 for $10 of other select items. Lots of items that I can eat, not just junk food. Then the rest of the store is full of Dollar General items that are half of the retail cost! WOW
