Being away from his school really affected him I think as tantrums multiplied. He was starting to progress finally and the nature and play based program they have is incredible for kids so missing that friendship time was something he didn't comprehend. His teachers Miss Marta and Miss Libby went above and beyond to do video "circle time" with the kids during the heart of the pandemic. Now that safety measures have been instituted and the school has reopened we have noticed a marked improvement in his expression and behaviour. Let's face it, it can be hard to have the structure at home for learning especially when you have an even younger one to boot. It is an incredibly welcome relief to have such a great place to watch over and teach our children. I had meant to post this last September but forgot and since then the school and community has been through a lot! We are so thankful the school survived the fires and the surrounding community came together to help each other during these crises. We had to pull our son out of school because of financial hardships, which happened to coincide with the fires and raging pandemic, but hope to have him back to see his friends soon.

Now I'm taking my daughter here and she loves her mommy and me class. She wakes up everyday wanting to go to school even though the class for her age is only one day a week. Also, one of the teachers here, her name is Mrs Bennett, is an angel of a teacher. Even after my son left to go to kindergarten, she got in touch with me to ask how his first day went on the first day of school! She cares about the kids and is so kind. She sets the bar for what a good teacher is and I'm so happy my daughter will get to eventually have her as her teacher too!! I would definitely recommend this preschool!

This school was awful to my severely special needs son. They forced us to do grade level curriculum and refused to modify the curriculum or the work load even though my son was developmentally at a toddler level and not even close to grade level. I even spoke with the superintendent and they refused to make any exceptions even though he had an IEP. It resulted in my son hating school and having massive frustrations. They also would have me sit for hours trying to do standardized tests with him that he didn't even understand. The academic tutoring session that we were offered since he had an IEP was equally as awful. They had him join a group session with kids that were grade levels above him, needless to say he was confused and frustrated and felt defeated. The teacher was supposed to implement certain supports during his session, also noted in his IEP-she was never consistent with it and it ended up with my son severely frustrated. It took me so long to write this because I just thought all public schools were the same-until he ended up at the wonderful school we are currently at and a wonderful teacher. Please avoid this school especially if you have a special needs child or need extra supports.

I am so happy our family was able to go through TCP and meet so many wonderful people and that I got to share this experience with my littles. Having the memories of them growing up and watching them learn was something that I will cherish forever. We are extremely angry by the way our son was treated here. He was evaluated several months ago and…read morethey approved for him to join Kindergarten this year. We enrolled him, paid a ton of money for registration and materials fees, and he started class last week. After the second day, the teacher told us that he would probably have to move to Pre-K because he can't sit still for a long time. It was surprising since they already evaluated him to be part of the Kindergarten, but we were fine if that were to happen. A few days later we meet with the evaluation board and teacher expecting for him to move classes, but instead, they tell us that they're kicking him out of the school entirely! Their reasoning was that they thought "something is wrong with him and he should be diagnosed with ADD". Let me count the ways the reasons they get 1 star: 1) For educators to tell someone that "something is wrong with your child" is extremely inappropriate. 2) Any educator that assume that a child has ADD after only a couple days of observation should not be allowed to teach. Our child has been to pre-school and we have a number of teachers and doctors in our circle of friends and family, and not one person has ever expressed any concern about his behavior. 3) They were not even willing to put him in a different class to see if that is a better fit for him. Their exact words were "there is no place for your son here". I'd think any school dedicated to a child's growth and education would TRY to adjust to help a child, not just shut him out. 4) They were not willing to give him more time to adjust to the new environment. Any person with a child or works with them knows that there's a period of adjustment needed for kids to adapt to new things...they completely disregarded this fact If we had been the type of parents to immediately trust these people and assume he has a problem, this could severely impact his life. Some parents would have put him on medication, enrolled him in schools for learning disabilities, etc., when really he is just a normal little boy. To top it off, they are now giving us the runaround now that we trying to get a refund for the $1000+ fees that we paid to enroll him. We were so excited for our child to go to this school, but now we are of the opinion that it's some sort of scam and are deeply regretting it.

One of the staff members at Page, Ms. Kristin is such a wonderful gift to our family. She's an amazing person who truly cares so much for these kids. What is even better is she understands each and every one of them on their level. She has helped my daughter so much as well as our family as a whole! We have grown into better parents, and have had the pleasure of watching our daughter go through all sorts of normal changes, as all kids do, while being able to get a better understanding as to the progression of life for a teen!
