In such a volatile market I was surprised to find their customer service skills lacking, so I was delighted to have the good fortune to meet David Buckley at an open house a couple of months ago. He struck up a conversation with me and offered to drive me around Santa Clarita to view homes. Several weeks passed and despite the fact that it was just before the federal tax credit expired and *everyone* was trying to view homes, I called him to set up an appointment and he helped me tour homes from 10AM-3PM! I think he showed me every property within my price range with welcomed patience and information for this first-time homebuyer, and I found my home. It's clear that this is not just a job for David; he takes his work very seriously. He was committed to making sure that I found the right home *for me*, gave me candid feedback on homes, made suggestions on next steps and opened his rolodex of real estate resources to me. He and his colleagues were with me throughout the whole process and were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I cannot say enough good things about his thoughtful service. From the onset and throughout the course of the listing, Judy represented herself and her team as a neutral disinterested party, whose aim was to list and successfully sell our home in the most expeditious fashion. Within hours of having the listing signed, Judy and her team threw themselves into the task. My home was in Zillow and other realty web sights, a "For Sale " sign was posted in the front yard, the home was staged for showing and a professional photographer was on the premises capturing the idyllic setting of the dwelling and the manicured yards. The prompt and immediate sale of the home at a fair marketable price was the goal of all concerned. However, due to market conditions and prevailing interest rates this goal seemed at times far off and all but attainable. Judy remained stedfast to her mission. After many calls and a week later, someone finally texted me only to let me know the property was rented. I asked why I was never contacted as I had continuously sent requests from the first day listed only to be told I had to apply to even be able to see the rental. Well a simple response to any of my multiple messages would have sufficed so I could have the chance to rent the property. It makes absolutely no sense. This really shows bad communication skills from a realtor. As someone in the industry it is not hard to communicate with potential clients. I was very excited to find this opportunity in the area I had been searching in for quite sometime and seemed like a perfect fit for me. Seeing the terrible reviews here really paints a picture. From the beginning, she kept me on a very aggressive escrow calendar that felt overwhelming. A few days after my offer was accepted, I was rushed into a home inspection that Gwen scheduled with one of her "trusted professionals." I had planned to be there, but when I arrived at the agreed time, the inspection was already wrapping up. Gwen walked me through the paperwork and assured me that everything looked fine. The main issue noted was a security detail on the kitchen door. Three months after moving in, my house caught fire due to brittle knob-and-tube wiring in the attic that had been repositioned to run across a heating duct, a hazardous modification. When I later opened the attic access panel myself, this wiring was clearly visible, but it had not been flagged in the inspection report from the inspector Gwen recommended. I also later learned that there had been a poorly executed electrical upgrade in the house that was not permitted, and that replacing the wiring would mean opening up all the walls and then repainting and replastering them. When I notified Gwen about the fire, her first suggestion was that I sign a 'hold harmless' form for the seller and allow him to fix it. After seeking legal advice to understand what I would be signing, I learned this was not in my best interest. I later discovered that the seller was featured on Sotheby's website in an article promoting the organization he worked for - Downtown Ventura Partners, which only deepened my concerns about the entire process. In the end, I was left feeling rushed, unsupported, and ultimately unsafe. Based on what I went through, I would not recommend working with this office.

Then we found out we were somehow talked out of reviewing the termite requirement, and somehow talked out of the home warranty. Oh, we are still having to replace the sewer line. Need I say more?
