Hi, I am emailing today asking for help! There is a staff…read moremember here in Canberra ACT that is abusing and refusing to serve customers. Today at 10th January 2026 1:30pm Woden/Phillip Westfield Dibinsons. 3 staff members 2 female 1 male(short bad tempered manager) decides chatting amongst themselves was a better thing to do rather than serve my wife while she was in a rush on lunch break wanting something to eat. The male(which claims to be the manager) looked straight at my wife made eye contact while she was on the phone to me(her husband) and decided to ignore her attempts to purchase a couple of pies for lunch while she was the only person standing at the counter. She waited about 10 minutes hoping one of the lady's working would help but they to looked at her and ignored her. My wife felt unwelcome and ostracised by his behaviour and left to go back to work after having not eating anything for lunch. This short male staff member has done this multiple times to my wife and due to his behaviour last year my wife stopped attending dobinsons altogether. I have made multiple reports in store regarding, his behaviour, him swearing at me, refused service, called names while walking by dobinsons while he is on shift and even being threatened and told to meet him after work for a physical altercation. Still after all my attempts to report this unethical unfriendly aggressive behaviour nothing seems to have been done and he is still refusing to serve my wife and yelling out to me over the counter while i walk past the dobinsons at Belconnen. I was informed by the tall manager last year at belconnen dobinsons that he had been spoken to. So my wife and i were able to make purchases at Robinson's again. But after today it is apparent that the short aggressive male(manager) doesn't care about the reports made last year nor does he care about upholding a professional manner while attending/working at dobinsons. If possible to have the Short male manager even moved to Tuggeranong so neither my wife nor I have to be subjected to this kind of treatment it would be really appreciated. Not sure how someone acting like this treating customers like this is allowed to remain employed. But I think at the very least he should not be allowed to attend the Woden/Phillip nor the Belconnen Dobinsons from now on. When I find a way to take this report higher or directly to someone I will send another email/message. Thankyoy for your time. Kind regards,

This is a walk-up counter in the a mall. You can take your food home or eat in the nearby food court. The service is fast and efficient. The pies are consistently delicious with a flaky crust and tasty fillings. I had their Thai chicken this time and it didn't disappoint. Their pastries are also excellent. We especially enjoy their Lamingtons. We will be back!

Good bread. Good coffee…read more Good staff. Good doggos outside. I wished the menu would utilise more of the bakery's goods (not into the milk buns compared to the bread offered at their bakery) which is amazing, which would have gotten them the full 5 stars. Tip: use their sourdough loaf, cut out the middle, fill it with cob loaf dip of your choosing. All my reviews are standardised to the following star ratings: 1. Customer service I.e. friendly, easy to book, etc. 2. Accessibility I.e. location, decor and scenery, easily assessable or flexible, etc. 3. Work, health and safety I.e. clean, safe, etc. 4. Quality of goods and/or services I.e. good food, good movers, etc. 5. Comparison to similar for location - I.e. would I recommend this above other places

Service here is friendly and casual - order at the counter, get a number, and wait for your dishes at your table. I ordered the Pumpkin Bread dish (grilled pumpkin bread, poached egg, smashed avocado, honey ricotta, balsamic, kale, toasted pepitas, grilled halloumi) and the combination of sweet and slight savoriness was absolutely delicious. The sweetness wasn't overwhelming, and the different textures made for a very satisfying dish that made you want to keep eating more. In fact, it's been over a month since I've been here and I'm still dreaming about this dish today and thinking of ways on how I can remake this at home! Coffee and drinks here were also excellent. I tried the Rose Petal & Earl Grey latte and enjoyed the light and floral flavor. All in all, a fantastic cafe with some great and healthy brunch choices for everyone. Next time, I'd be even happy just stopping by for their pastries/pies/baked goods - everything in their bakery display looked so fresh!

I love Sweet Bones. Everything I've had there is at least good and some things are great. They…read moreuse good quality ingredients and it shows. Their vegan Reuben is delicious, and their pastries are lovely. They have a good selection of coffee based drinks and lattes. If you're vegan, this could easily become your go to hip neighborhood vegan joint. One complaint is that they close pretty early though so you have to go there for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

The tofu scramble was packed with veggies and had a buttery flavour. It was a dryer scramble which I like. It was covered in toasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds which really opened up the flavour. The rest of the plate, avo, tomato, hummus, spinach, and sourdough toast was staple but effective. It's always nice to have a fresh vegan breakfast that has whole foods instead of soy butter and processed foods. And lastly the coffee was excellent. Interesting texture with the cashew milk, as it felt a bit gritty, but that was a welcomed edition as it felt really earthy with each sip. I'd highly recommend Sweet Bones. Feel free to greet the lovely staff with a hello, and enjoy the tunes as you watch all the people come and go from a place where you can eat like you give a damn!
