In a lifetime, there comes singular moments where you are transported back to the amazing meals of childhood and they become something greater. This is the case with The Pad
Upon Arrival, I was greeted by the wonderful and kind Lindsey who helped me to my table and let me choose my drink of choice. Once I had chosen I was treated to the Haggis and Black Pudding Fritters which I was sceptical of as I'm not the biggest fan of Haggis. But I was wrong! It was a revelation in food as the mix of the batter, meat and whisky sauce was a taste that although acquired, was amazing.
I was then given a burger with a great amount of chips to dine upon. Although it was not as red as I sometimes like, it was one of the best burgers I have had in such a long time.
Through this all, I was extremely well attended to and the decor reminded me of the Warm and inviting environment I had experienced in my youth in a cafe in Pitlochry and made it so much better
So if you are in the area, I urge you to book a table and see what is most likely going to be, a mainstay and highlight of the area. read more
