Their offers include buy one pizza get one half price, a medium pizza and 2 sides for £12.99 and 2 large pizzas and 2 sides for £20.99. They also stock Ben & Jerrys tubs here and I've been known to get myself a little tub of strawberry cheesecake from time to time. I was ecstatic a few months ago when I got a letter through my door informing me that my street was Pizza Huts "Street of The Week" and we would be able to order a medium sized pizza of our choice... absolutely free! Can you believe it? If you wanted to make it large all you needed to do was pay £2. A large Pizza Hut pizza for £2! Yes please! When I called to place my order I was worried in case it was some kind of hoax - it seemed too good to be true. However, I didn't wake up from a bizarre pizza dream, it was indeed true and 30 minutes later I had a tasty Chicken Supreme pizza delivered straight to my door.

Food is great and the service has been decent on the times that I have dined in. My dad loves the margarita pizza, I like the Mia Casa pasta dish and my mum swings from the salad to something with chicken usually. It is our local Italian restaurant and I recommend it if you are in the Newton Mearns area. It is worth noting that the parking is round the back (shared with the other shops and it can be tight for a larger vehicle, such as a Panamera or XJ).

The food arrived within 20 minutes - impressive seeing as it's a 5 minute drive from our house and they'd told us 30 minutes at least. The food was piping hot and delicious. My pasta came with rocket which tasted awful, you know how sometimes it is really bitter? It was really easy to pick off though so no harm done. The sauce and ravioli were delicious, creamy and a really generous serve so I was able to save the leftovers for lunch the next day. I think the last time we ordered takeaway for delivery was some time in 2011, so we're not pros at this kind of thing. I'd rather go our for a meal. But this place had a great take away service so I suspect we'll be using them again in the future.

It is a handy location if you are in the shopping centre. The 1/2 pasta/pizza deal is a winner, especially when you just can't choose. The quality of the food is top notch and I was pleased with the timely service. It can get quite busy and full at times, but that just shows that they do well at what they do.

We went in via the outside entrance and we were greeted by a young girl member of staff. The place wasn't too busy for a Saturday evening and she offered whether we wanted to sit up or downstairs. We didn't even know there was an upstairs, so we decided up it was. Jings there was many many many stairs to get there but hey, one way to work up an appetite I suppose. We were greeted by another young girl member of staff and she looked on her touch screen computer for seats for us, she tried to get us window ones but they were reserved. No worries, we weren't wanting to stay to long anyway so not too bothered. We were seated with menus and a big tall foreign young man took our drink orders. He was very friendly, in a decent way of course, we did struggle to understand his accent especially when we eventually figured out he was asking if we wanted a side dish. You know when it gets to the fourth time of asking, it gets embarassing that you still can't understand. He eventually put it another way and we got it. Ahhhh says we, 'sides' eh no thanks. Fortunately he wasn't too bothered and he was happy and jokey with us. We both ordered pasta dishes, experiencing that New York Italian style, well as Italian as you can get, with old fashioned music to put you in the mood. The chef's were just behind us, chefing away. I ordered cannelloni and Ian got the Philly steak bake and our waiter was very generous with the parmesan especially when Ian said to him I love the cheese. Oooft that was vigorous grating. Yum! Macaroni cheese was served in a large thick plate but there was only a few mouth fulls for a portion this was also serviced warm and not hot. Overall very poor service and even more so shocking food. Avoid this place if you can.

We started off with mozzarella sticks, I can't remember what they called it but it was sticks of yummy battered cheese and dip, then I had the penne carbonara. You could choose the pasta you fancied, penne's one of my favourites. Then for a sweet I had a strawberry sundae, it finished off the meal perfectly. I would definitely come back here as the prices weren't too bad, the décor was smart, especially as it's still fresh and new and of course the food was delicious. I arranged to meet my 'date' (we'll call him Jim) at Azzurro (never having heard of it, I did a quick google before I left). I went into the restaurant, which in itself was lovely - modern but relatively traditional. Then I noticed it was quiet. Not just quiet, dead. Eeep. So, needless to say, I was shown to 'our' table, where I ordered a glass of wine, and got comfortable. Jim was late (surprise surprise), so I scowered the menu, and settled on an old favourite, Penne arrabiata. This was inbetween every waiter/chef/host in the place asking me if I wanted to order "er, no, waiting on someone." Jim eventually showed up 20 minutes late (doing well so far, mate). By this time, the large glass of wine I'd just drank was working it's way through my brain, so I was fine with it. So, he chose and we (eventually) ordered (where were all the staff from before?!), not before he had quizzed the waitress about the ingredients of the food, and their origins (when someone starts a question with, "I'm very carbon concious - do you know how far some fruit/veg travels!?" you know it's going to be a good meal). My 2nd glass of wine arrived, and we made the obligatory small talk "what do you do? where are you from?". Well, he did anyway. I didn't get a word in edgeways. Our food came out pretty speedily, which was nice (in fact, at this point in time, it was fantastic: the quicker the food came out, the quicker I could eat, and thus the quicker I could leave), although, mine looked like it had been haphazardly thrown into the bowl. Nevermind, the proof is in the taste. My 3rd glass of wine may have skewed my tastebuds, but it wasn't the best pasta I've ever tasted, but it did the job. Jim seemed to enjoy his Carbonara (he scraped the plate with his finger so I take that as a good sign (ewwww - not in public!)). I declined desert ("Why... another glass of wine would be just PERFECT!"), but Jim ordered one of their specials. Thankfully, before you knew it, his desert was gone (as was my wine) and we were paying the bill. We said our awkward goodbyes, walked to the underground, and was gome regaling my flatmates with the awful tale less than 2 hours after it had begun. Best part of the night. Needless to say, I never ventured out for another date with Jim, not have I been back to Azzurro. Maybe it was just the (awful) date, but something didn't seem to click with me here. I might try it again though, but for the moment, Azzurro, I think we should see other people (wine was good though).

There are just so many Italian restaurants in town, so if you are going to open one, you have got to be prepared to do something.....anything.....different if possible to make your restaurant, THE restaurant to go to. Azzurro does nothing of the sort, everything about the experience was fine, and fine is not a good word in a review. I must say it is not as bad as some, in fact it was not bad, but man is it boring. No excitement from the menu, to the lack of smiles from the staff. Not great! It does have a good location , so I guess it survives on passing trade and people who like same same.

I have never properly tried a bruchetta before so that's what I ordered - it was so yummy! Definitely more than some cherry tomatoes on top of a garlic bread, as I had thought lol. For my main I opted for the good 'ol spaghetti bolognese - super large portion so we definitely got our moneys worth! Definitely enjoyed lunch here and will be back for a second time. Only downside again was the rude waitress - seriously is it just me that they don't like?!

It sits amongst TGI Friday's, Harvester and Chiquito's, and despite the other 3 being absolutely packed, Prezzo was pretty much dead. So we decided we'd try it out. I didn't have a particularly pleasant experience at the city centre Prezzo, but I saw this as a second chance. It didn't disappoint! To start with I had filled mushrooms which were delicious, and Colin went for the Soup of the Day, which I think was Pea and Basil. He said it was lovely! Our mains were Penne Zafferano for Colin, which he had the last time and enjoyed, and Fusili Gorgonzola, which was absolutely beautiful. The service over the course of the afternoon was incredible - the waiting staff were lovely and attentive, maybe slightly overly attentive, and the food all came out in great time. I did expect good service with the amount of patrons though. The restaurant is huge, and beautifully designed - the nice open pizza oven at the back is a nice touch. I'd definitely recommend to anyone up at The Fort looking for a bite to eat. It's apparently much easier to get a table at than the other restaurants, and is a great place for food after a shop. Could even pop into the cinema right next door afterwards and make a day out of it!
