Our son just finished his first year at the Learning Tree and it was a great year for our family. The biggest thing for us was the flexible before and after school drop off. As working parents that took a huge weight off, and they were always easy to work with on timing instead of making us feel like we were asking too much. The other thing I really noticed is how well they handle boys. My son has a lot of energy, and they knew how to keep him engaged and actually learning, not just telling him to sit still. The teachers clearly get how kids that age really are. It is a small school with warm staff that treats families like they know you. I would recommend it to any parent in Palm Desert or in the Cochella valley area. read more

This is our second year at the Learning Tree and our daughter is absolutely thriving! The staff and community are like a family. Well, many are actually related but they treat the ones that are not like family too! The education is fantastic! There are so many extra things that they do to make school and learning fun! I've read the posts and I'm not sure people who are speaking negatively are talking about the same school! This school is warm and welcoming to all! The after school programs are such a huge bonus too. I can compare what our daughter is learning to the other private schools here and she is on par or slightly above depending on the school. They keep the class sizes small so the kids can get some personal attention and both of her teachers offered individual tutoring for those who need it. from my experience for 2 kids for 3 years really amazing school and stuff really like family, learning tree is just the best school in the valley, very clean the teachers so kindly and nice, every one there smiling and happy all the year, Ms.Faith she encouraged me and helped me alot about the potty for my daughter Tara and we succeed from first week, Ms.Daisey so so nice, also Ms,Bee and Ms. Ali they are such as great teachers they put it alot of efforts with kids , Ms, Nikkie very nice and smiling teachers and very learn full. and we love all the stuff in the kitchen very organized and clean and all the time they make amazing healthy menu for the kids every month they changed and add new things. also we love all the programs after school and very good prices the gymnastics and ballet classes. every year we waiting the amazing christmas and halloween party that's they did for them. i'm so lucky to have you guys thank you so much for all your efforts read more

DO NOT ENROLL YOUR PRECIOUS CHILD HERE! I have three experiences that would make any parent cringe. I left my job as a nurse to stay home with my child after leaving her there for six months. The final 'straw' was my child being hurt (requiring medical attention) and no one being able to tell me what happened. Another child chocked her on the play ground with four teachers not seeing what happened. She had scratches and bruises, but no one saw it. My daughter was in tears and frightened. They apologized, but had no idea what happened. I could tell you so much more, but please just know this is not the facility they portray it to be. The teachers are not qualified any more than anyone else, and they yell at the children on a daily bases. There are several other places, seek out a qualified preschool. read more

Just pulled our two boys after a year and a half at the Learning Tree! The teachers cared but admin (owners) and principle put their profits steps ahead of the students and staff! Over the last year multiple teachers just walked off with little explanation and now I know why! They have no health insurance and pay them next to nothing! The admin(owners) sit at their desks and push papers and maybe change a diaper or two. They serve the most unhealthy snacks and lunches and don't care!! They smile at your concerns and probably flip you off when you walk away. The hours of operation were great for the $ spent, but the actual quality of care that came from the owners and principle is fake. They are smiling at your problems all the way to the bank!! I know there are limited private schools out here, but this is not one I recommend any longer. I will miss the friends that our boys have made and the kind faces of the teachers that truly cared for our babies. Time for the next Chapter!! Schools out for summer!! read more

We went to go tour this place and upon walking through the door we saw multiple red flags. Red flag #1 Lady at front desk tells us we need a mask to enter even though the man sitting right next to the door which we learned was the principle was mask-less and another staff member walked straight past us with no mask. I don't judge mask or no mask but i find it odd that the front desk lady was rude about it yet the workers didn't have them on. Red flag #2 little boy (2-3 years old) comes out of principles office (head down) and the principle reprimands him about pinching or pulling hair. - my husband and i looked at each other bc these adults are deciding how to discipline these kids with no parent present. They showed us around the place and then red flag #3 we happen to run back into the little boy we saw being disciplined, he waved at the principle and was smiling, the principle then reprimanded him again and told him to go outside. My husband and i looked at each other again bc once a child is disciplined that should be the end of it. The principle is of an older generation which i understand that those values are much different than these days- i honor and respect that but you would think he would adjust to his audience. Anyway, it felt like a show was put on for us, too many kids in one setting, very rude front desk gal- she actually kept implying I was lying that we were former military and had difficulty getting medical records (very rude). I still considered this place to be a possible good fit but as my husband and i talked about it, i realize i wouldn't trust my child there without us being present. Enrolled my son two years ago, I have to say this school is like night and day compared to the other schools in the valley. The education they receive is amazing, the teachers are simply beautiful, and the events such as the camp out and carnival they don't do things like that at other schools. I was a little hesitant bc private school is expensive, but I know it's going into the school and not into any pockets bc I have attended schools where that is the case. The administrator's aren't pulling up in Mercedes or wearing fancy watches and what not. The principal, Mr Roberts have built this school up since the beginning. I take my son's education , safety, and welfare serious. I don't make a lot of money and work hard for it. But this school is worth every penny . read more

When I called I specifically asked if there was availability open they said yes and they scheduled a tour. Principal was late about 20 min even after I arrived 15 minutes prior to our 3pm appointment. I took a tour so they can tell me after that there was a waitlist! I wasted my time and was very disappointed. The teachers did not look professional whatsoever. Do not enroll your child here. They seem to only care for the money . They charge an additional 250 for registration fee and supplies on top of the 700 they already charging. read more

This private school is amazing. I went there as a child for preschool and elementary school and now my children go there. We are very happy with our experience past and present. The teachers are experienced, kind, caring, and dedicated. The administration is wonderful, and dedicated to the students well rounded education. The school has so many events throughout the year, Christmas performances, end of the year campout, grandparents day, family night events, school field trips, after school programs and classes, small class sizes, plenty of play and recess time, and offer school lunches and a wonderful new salad bar. Being a public school teacher, I can't even begin to compare the differences. This school is such a blessing! read more

Please do not put your precious child to this preschool that school principal and administrators are careless liar and only care about money my son had lethal head injury he is only 3 1/2 yr old going there 8 months he was not eating lunch for 3 months and crying they never told me until I discovered by teachers also they told me in his report that he can not gallop or balance and then they through me in playground which for adults uneven surfaces big benchers and trippers with one teacher over 100 kids he fell and had head injury the ambulance came paramedics and he went to hospital he needs an aesthetic to get stitches and he is frightened and traumatized after that he is scared of everything and that have no explanation I am going to court against them but I want you to protect your child read more

I have been happy with the Learning Tree for 2 years now, because they have good academic curriculum. Number one goal is for students to learn. The staff is very caring and they have a variety of student activities. I highly recommend this school!!! read more

My grandson has been attending the Learning Tree Preschool and Elementary School since 2013...The best experience ever. I know he would not receive the quality of education and experiences such as Camp Out, Song Fest, and all the countless field trips that help to form him as an individual. Our daughter is in her second year here and we send her brother over the summer break as well. We have been thrilled with both the level of education and the overall environment. Students are respectful and kind to each other (much moreso than the two public elementaries we have experience with). The teachers genuinely care about their students and their education, and very small class sizes (currently 10 in my daughter's class) mean your child gets lots of individual and small group attention. The school has a huge recreation area and they offer a wide variety of free extracurricular activities to introduce students to various sports after school. We don't even mind that our daughter often comes home grubby with shoes full of sand... as any young child should after a good day of play! They also have great events throughout the year, not to mention my daughter's favorite Rockin' Lunches every Friday, that mean the children really get involved and enjoy and care for their school. read more

All of my siblings and I (four of us) grew up with this school. I am now 25 years old and I cannot wait until the day I have children so I can give them a chance to make cherish-able memories the way we did at The Learning Tree. Mrs. Dru, Mrs. Angela, and Mr. Robert are my family. Growing up, yes, I had issues with teachers and bullies but all in all the teachers did everything they could to keep me safe and help me grow. Honestly, when I graduated fifth grade I was so incredibly sad to go to a public school and I was bullied even worse there... As a child, you go through ups and downs and I don't believe schools are there solely to protect the children, but to help them learn to handle problems and grow in a, sometimes, uncontrollable environment. These other reviews may be true, but coming from a person who attended the school and grew within this incredible environment, I will not ever hesitate to give The Learning Tree 5 stars. I need more information about this school my husband enrolled our two children however they have change there personal dramatic and are very aggressive with each other and other children, I have them for a few months how ever they been hurt more then 3 times already and have come home with bruises. I have been a stay home but we decided it was time for them to be in school,although they have never been aggressive with each other or other children since I had always had them around other kids there age,unfortunately I feel this place is not the right place for our children, I also had a feel they are leaving my youngers child in time out most of the time and now when I try to correct my child he/she will not respond to time out and just sit and play instead of understanding why is timeout. IF ANYONE HAVE ANY SITUATION SIMILAR PLEASE LET ME KNOW, unfortunately my husband doesn't believe me and thinks it's just me.? read more
