I have a friend who is a dentist and he said his fees are much higher than the estimates I got for the extensive work they say I need done. I am in considerable pain and I need to get something done. I do NOT recommend Dr Bannan, and would never trust him to work on my teeth again. After selling my condo, I was temporally renting in port orange until my new apartment was ready. Having problems with an old filling, repaired a few times, and an old crown led me to find a new dentist in my area. Waters's edge dental seemed the best choice so agreed to have both teeth crowned. When making appointment a large deposit was required. How odd I thought; I have never paid a deposit at any dentist. Several months after the new crowns, my apartment was ready and decided to find a more convenient dentist. During routine x-rays, my dentist noticed a problem with one of the crowns from water's edge dental. It had only been a little over a year, and very expensive, so I attempted to get an appointment at water's edge. They were reluctant at first and informed me that I had to pay. Eventually I got an appointment without cost and sent them my x-ray. Dr Bannan wasn't very pleased and didn't believe my story, requesting to speak with my new dentist. After which he stated there may be some decay starting, while intimating reluctance to work on tooth again, and suggested a fluoride treatment, but would do whatever I wanted. Not wanting to go through that ordeal again I agreed to fluoride treatment and then again in one month. At my second visit, although afraid of ordeal, I stated I wanted tooth repaired. Dr Bannan abruptly stated there was nothing clinically (I believed the verbiage he used) wrong with the crown, no matter what the x-ray revealed. So why the fluoride treatment if crown was OK, I asked myself? I would not recommend Dr Bannan or go back again.
