I was just glad he was able to get me in quickly. Given my experience with Drs from Peru, I was glad to see a Dr in the US with vast knowledge.

Before seeing the periodontist next week I wanted an assessment for the need of a root canal. Greeted at the front desk by a very nice gentleman and on to the back with the assistant. Dr. MacIntyre was great and got to the problem quickly. Unfortunately I do need a root canal but would rather do that before all the work for a crown is done. Great eval. Just had my root canal . I started going to this new dentist and I have had multiple complaints since I have been going. The…read morewait time is astronomically long. The front desk ladies are most of the time short and rude. I had fillings done here and there was one lady who was the assistant (I can't remember her name) but if I seem even in the slightest uncomfy with her she would get defensive telling me she has "college and a lot of experience". She would get really rough with my teeth and pull and jerk without caring how I was. They don't seem to care about your time. I went in for a 12 pm appointment and I waited at least 35 minutes to be talked to. Then when I was talked to, they said they needed to run my insurance and not sure they even did that as they came back with just a recommendation for a root canal to be done somewhere which btw took another 25 to 30 minutes on top of that. I simply came in just for an estimate on my tooth. It shouldn't have taken over an hour to make that happen. All of the bad reviews I am seeing makes so much sense to me now. In fact, before I even went here, google reviews said 4 point something stars so I said ooh sounds good! I am not going back here and going to my old dentist since they actually CARED about people's wellbeing and time. Don't go here!

Instead of removing or repairing her tooth they did extensive procedures and had her keep returning several times in the course of six weeks (meanwhile she was in terrible pain). They never removed the bad tooth but wanted to do costly surgery which would be several thousands of dollars!! Realizing this reputable dentist seemed like a scammer we located another, which was Coast Dental in Ormond Beach. They were incredible! They fully understood that removing the painful terrible tooth was the main priority and they got right on it. They didn't even attempt to do all the other procedures which might be important at a later date but were not important at the moment. And the dentist was so incredible that he removed the tooth without causing my wife any pain or discomfort at all... and that is rare since she normally despises dental visits because of her sensitive mouth which feels every little 'poke or jab' with high discomfort. We are so glad we went to Coast Dental and highly recommend them!

The office staff has changed gradually but greatly, over the years. They are incredibly rude and inefficient. I had an appointment for this afternoon, and when I got there they told me they hadnt time for the cleaning, and i explained that isnt easy for me to get out as I care for my sick husband. They then told me after i waited to at least see my dentist about an issue, that Dr. now had two emergencies and I also would not be able to see him today either. I explained I had an appointment made through their call center, (no mire direct-to-office calls), but they rudely said they had "nothing to do with that call center."! I walked out. I have never had such rude people to deal with. I left and wint be back, no matter how much I love Dr. Windom. It's really too bad.​

Next, before you allow this dentist to treat you, get a second opinion. My regular dentist recommended this Dr. to me because I had a gum abscess although I had no tooth pain, which I confirmed with my regular dentist and with Dr. Jungermann during my evaluation. I told both dentists that I had a similar issue years ago that a periodontist successfully treated me. Neither suggested I see a periodontist...so, the retreatment of my root canal means an extraction and an implant...Otherwise I felt no pain during the procedure which I wasn't charged for because my tooth couldn't be saved...Stupid me.
