If you want/need the long winded review, read on: We got a referral from a friend and I'm so glad that we did. We met her on a saturday, emailed once or twice before hand, she was prepared with a list of several houses to show us, but also took the opportunity to help us get to know the various towns and neighborhoods out in Contra Costa County. My wife and I were moving from the city with our two young children and we didn't really know much about the area. She took time and explained in great detail the differences between the towns and neighborhoods. She helped us narrow our search bassed upon our three main criteria (no surprise here: schools/price/size). After the first day we quickly had a plan for proceeding. The next weekend we met with her again. I cant write one of those reviews that says that she spent lots of time and tirelessly searched for us for months because she found us the perfect house on the first try! Although she must have shown us a dozen houses on that Marathon day, we loved the first house that we saw; and it was not a house seen on line before or asked her to look into. She met us again that week so that we could see the house one more time before making our offer (her suggestion). this was an REO sale and was VERY complex and frustrating. Pat was great through the whole process. she explained everything to us and helped talk us (me) down from several ledges. The only other thing that I have to add is that she puts together an Excellent team!! from her support staff at empire, to her inspectors and most of all to the mortgage broker that she recommended to us. she even made several good recommendations for various contractors and services after we closed including a great insurance agent. She seems to know everybody!. This turned out to be one of her most important assest in my opinion. Oh, and she was very accommodating of us and our crazy schedule. We didn't have a lot of care for our kids (a 2yr and a newborn) but she was great with them and very accommodating. We were very well taken care of the whole way through.
