I give the BBQ itself a 4 -Star. It was really good and had great smokey flavor. And this was off the food truck. Sandwich had the perfect amount of sauce on it. Their chips weren't my thing. They were ok but then again my wife liked them. read more

After eating the Smoked bbq, it's the day after and I'm still tasting it. I had to stick it in the refrigerator overnight to finish the rest. I saw this business on Yelp a while ago and bookmarked it. I hadn't heard anything about it, so I thought I'd give it a try. Then, I went to a boutique I frequent in the same plaza and as I was checking out she gave me a menu and coupon for the restaurant, so I knew I had to try it then. This place isn't inviting or huge, it's mostly a carry out and delivery restaurant. There are two tables in the restaurant where you can dine in and that's what I usually do when I go into a new restaurant. Being that it's a barbecue spot I wanted to try the barbecue first but they had other things on the menu that I wanted to try before that. I decided on the Caribbean catfish because I LOVE Caribbean food. This meal came with a choice of bread or on a bed of rice, and two sides. I choose the bed of rice, macaroni and cheese and green beans. The owner was manning the front and the register so it took some time, not a lot, to serve my meal. The fish was light fried on a bed of seasoned rice. The fish was delicious but the rice was meh....it just needed a little salt. The macaroni was equally delicious and the green beans were meh as well!!! As I think of all of the things I sampled from this place I think it's safe to say that this is a BBQ spot/Caribbean joint. Most of the dishes had several spices in them giving them a dramatic flare, which I LOVE in my food!!! I wasn't able to try the BBQ or hash and rice because the hash and rice wasn't available that day. That give me another opportunity to try more items on this restaurant's menu. The owner was very friendly and inquired about how did I found out about this place. I told him that the boutique owner in the same plaza gave me a menu and I also was a Yelper(I kind of hate telling business owners that information because when I say Yelp it seems like they try to break out the red carpet for me and I just want to be serviced like a regular Joe Blo and see how the service is on the regular). Complete waste of time and money. Bought $250 in certificates on the radio. Used $50, the food was okay, nothing to write home about. They had no brisket at 6om...DOH! Went there on a Sunday at 1230, they were closed. Went back the next day and Tony Pearson refused to take certificates. He says he loses money on my ALREADY PAID FOR certificates. Buyer beware. He told me to take it up with the radio station if I did not like it. I would never go to this place again or tell anyone that I like about it. I will go back to Perry Foster's instead. Disappointed, slow service, food cold despite 20 minute wait. Pulled pork fatty with way to much bottled sauce. Brisket sandwich tuff.

New hours are not updated on website, Yelp or Open Table. Show up 2 other customers waiting outside. Doors are locked. Looked inside and saw 2 tables and all dark thought they were out of business. Called their number and they are closed Monday through Wednesday WTF!! Left and we all went to Willie Jewell's. Willie's is awesome and the food was off the charts. Oh and they are OPEN!!! read more

Pearson's is right next door to my salon...so yes, I have tried them and they are GREAT!! I've had my share of BBQ around town, but I'm sold on Pearson's. Just can't get any better than that!! read more

We purchased coupons at the radio auction which were good until October 31, 2016. We had called them, repeatedly, with no answer. The restaurant was closed the day we went there. We tried to use them on the 27th, as they were going to expire, but when we got there the owner, Tony, said they would no longer honor the radio coupons, or any other. We had eaten there once, and the ribs were very tough. The second time it took over an hour to get our food, and there was no one else in the restaurant. Trust me, if it had not been for the coupons we would never have gone back, and as it turned out we couldn't use the rest of the coupons anyway. read more

We visited this place with a groupon a few months ago. The outside looks great, you walk in and there were 2 tables and 2 unkempt looking men running the place...Next, they didn't have any ribs, nor did they have several other items we were there for...A man walks in the place with a bin containing about 3 full slab ribs, a lady walked in before us and bought all of them. They cook the meat SOMEWHERE ELSE and NOT at this location, for whatever reason! They ran out of loaf bread to go with the meals...We went a second time (only because I needed to use all the coupons that I had bought) all the way to a South Augusta Auto Parts parking lot, where the smoker was located...This time the two employees running the smoker looked like "crack heads" and again didn't look like someone you want handling your food...I also was not allowed to used my coupons that I had purchased per the owner Anthony!!!
