They do custom embroidery and applique logos on shirts, hats and likely anything other fabric you bring in. The items they have on display look really cool and unique. I spoke to the owner (I assume) and he told me that he would be able to complete my custom order in the time frame that I needed (which was ASAP). He was super friendly and very enthusiastic about his business. I liked the fact that he was passionate about his company and that he was really focused on making his customers happy. I overheard him working with another customer and he was just as friendly. It cost $20 to do the custom embroidery for my order which is the same price that other places charge. Although I'm sure the prices changes depending on the size of the embroidery you need. This place has great service, no minimum orders and great designs (from what I saw in the store). He's also opening up a new store in the Village in a building that's on Confusion Corner.

All the proceeds go the maker which is really amazing. They have a map of Manitoba and come with a little star so you can place your town on the map. For 15-20 dollars they are a steal and will look super cute in my kitchen. The staff said you can email the maker for custom provinces. I think they would make a great gift for a great cause.

They have more changing rooms and a ton of cute casual and party dresses from $80-$150. Lots of accessories like scarves, hats, earrings and necklaces that won't break the bank. It's a fun place to shop and a must stop for me when I am in the Village.

The new store is deeper so there's more space to showcase the jewellery, clothes, bags and scarves and other accessories. There's lots of unique pieces and there is a huge price range so you can easily find a nice gift for yourself or someone else. There's also a lot of different styles available too from cute, professional, funky, trendy etc. They have a small section for men but I didn't see many cufflinks, something they use to carry more abundantly in the past. Service is friendly and laid back as I never feel like there's pressure to buy, which can happen in these smaller boutiques. Oh and they have a pretty good exchange policy if the item doesn't work out. The only downside is that there's no return so you will be stuck with a credit note.

They have drifted towards some fashion wear in the last couple years but the standards can still be found. I like this store since it is easy to get to and it is impressive in size. If you arrive in early enough and impress her with your "I am Canadian but live in Scotland" spiel, you can sometimes turn her into your own personal shopper. Get her to find you the right size trousers and such. It make things easier than searching through the massive stacks of jeans yourself.

I like that this chain has graphic t-shirts and larger shoe sizes. Torrid accommodates curvy women, which I appreciate. I don't exactly fit the demographic perfectly, but I can manage to wear clothing on the smaller side of the sizing scale. It's cool. I do like options. This store was clean and bright. There were deals everywhere. The best deals were in the back left of the store. I managed to find a pair of cargo pants that were regularly $109, but were reduced to $30. They looked like they would fit me. I wasn't sure because I had never bought pants here. I needed to find a fitting room. I headed to the checkout area and asked a female staffer if I could try them on. She was friendly, said yes, and led me to a fitting room by unlocking the door. These pants fit perfectly. The length and inseam were great. I could breathe in them. Yay! I looked around and liked a cardigan. It was lightweight, but Winnipeg was going through a heatwave outside that I couldn't look at any clothing for Fall. I found the graphic t-shirts. I liked the Care Bears one. Nothing truly screamed at me. It probably means that I'm content with my wardrobe. I found my sneakers that I had bought almost a year ago. They are so comfortable. It was one of my favourite purchases from this chain. I headed to the checkout area. It took a while for the nice woman to return. She was helping another person unlock a fitting room. I wasn't in a rush. It allowed me to look at the earring sets. I love them. They are comfortable and the designs are cute. I recommend signing up for Torrid rewards. I got an additional $10 off my purchase when I was here. My pair of cargo pants were $20 after all the discounts. Yay! The best way for the staffer to find your rewards account is to provide your phone number. Easy peasy! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and I was done. She put my item in a paper bag with handles. I thanked her and happily left with my purchase. I'm pleased with my new cargo pants and the price that I paid for them. I loved shopping here. I hope to return the next time I'm at the outlet. (257)
