The on-call nurse told me that they "didn't have time" to see me because someone was on vacation. She told me that if my blood pressure got up to 160/110, I could go to OB triage (basically the ER for pregnant women), but otherwise I could not get any treatment. I put in an official complaint with Duke Hospital, reminding them of their previous medical neglect that I could have sued them over, and they magically had appointments available in the clinic. Lawyers shouldn't have to get involved to be able to schedule an obstetrics appointment. The doctor who did my induction was so awful, I ended up dismissing her.

Probably close to brand new. It's on one of the top-ish floor of the building which also includes apartments, offices, and restaurants. Make sure you park on top, right near the entrance, or staff will advise you to move your car. Check-in and wait time for my appointment was nominal, and my ultrasound and blood work went fairly flawlessly. The ultrasound tech was very friendly and walked us through the various parts of the baby she was looking at to check for which birth defects or development deficiencies. During the ultrasound the tech found a small mass in my bladder that was causing her some concern, so she called in Dr. Sarah Ellestad to take a look. Dr. Ellestad asked me some questions about my medical history and explained that she was concerned about it and wanted me to get it checked out further, which I totally understand and I respect her opinion, however she was a bit excited (maybe a liiiitttle less coffee for her) and got my husband who was also present a little too worked up about this mystery bladder lump, too. I don't know about you, but I prefer my medical professionals calm and level-headed. All that aside, I'm very grateful that the ultrasound tech found this small mass. It ended up being nothing, but had it been something bad, like cancer, I would have especially grateful that they found it early because I never would have known it was there. I plan on going back in a few weeks for my 18-20 week anatomy scan.

I was never informed of what to watch for in the way of reactions (to this med or any of the many supplements she had me take). There is another Yelp review where the same thing was done to another patient. I also received almost no guidance or support in the process of tapering off the meds. I had to pay $25 to ask medical questions. Her answers were always to suggest something I was already taking or something I had already told her I couldn't take as if my chart wasn't even checked. I did not find her care 'integrative'. There was no talk of mind, spirit, or nervous system regulation. No checking with symptoms. Everything was based on $$$$ in labs which were treated with $$$$ in supplements. Her focus was pushing energy when what my system needed was gentle support and nurture.

There were two people waiting when I came in.And they were both taken within ten minutes of my arriving. More people came in and were taken back while I sat there and waited. Half hour after my appointment time, I went to the counter to let them know that I was unable to wait any longer because I had another appointment to get to. The person at the counter said that the online check in doesn't work.And that they could take me at that time. Unfortunately, since I had given them as much time as I could.I was not able to get my blood work done there.I will be rebooking in a different location. It seems to me that if the location knows that they're online check in system is not working.And they see someone sitting in their waiting room for forty five minutes unattended that perhaps they should check in and see if perhaps that person did the online check in. The clinic then denied me any treatment because I would not allow filming and I had cancer symptoms!! This caused a critical delay of surgery for months because I had to find another doctor/clinic. Durham OB/GYN were very disrespectful. They are the worse. My medical files had lots of errors in them and the office manager is really a piece of work. Don't go near this office. ASK if they are going to FILM your procedure!! Other offices do not do this.

I've had a number of complicated/chronic/mystery health issues that have been ongoing, so there is often much to discuss and try to figure out. But Dr. Annis never makes me feel rushed. Also, it is very refreshing to have a physician that does not seem to work from default assumptions about my lifestyle. Finally, she is pragmatic and frank in her advice. She will tell you when you really must check something out further or treat it, but she will also tell you when you can most likely live with something with no ill effects. In an age when it seems many doctors want to pathologize and treat ANYTHING, this increases my trust in Dr. Annis greatly.
