This place has the worst management I've ever dealt with. People have let themselves into my apartment with no notice at all. The unit smelled terrible when I moved in, we've run out of hot water more than once, and my A.C. doesn't even work, I've been waiting five days now for someone to come look at it. This apartment complex is an excellent value. I looked at other places in Broad Ripple that cost considerably more for less room. Located pretty much right off the Monon, I find I can walk almost anywhere I want to go while feeling safe. My 2 bedroom apartment is bright and comfortable with vaulted ceilings in the living room and kitchen. I adore my little deck and have a bistro set, bird feeder, and plants on it. I love the gas stove/oven and the deep window sills (more plants on those). So far, all of the neighbors have been nice and quiet. I do wish I had a garbage disposal and that the stairwell was kept cleaner. Also, the tub is ugly with repairs instead of replacement of the walls/soap holders (I did my own upgrade to a high pressure shower head). However, the friendliness of the staff and prompt response to any issue makes up for the negatives. I'm in my 5th month and strongly considering renewing my lease at the end of the year. read more

The senior property manager at this complex is the worst property manager I have dealt with while renting. I put a work order in for my HVAC system and the property manager outright REFUSED to send maintenance to take a look at my HVAC system. The only reason maintenance came to my apartment was because I put a work order in for something else and begged him to take a look at my HVAC. He ended up fixing it within 5 minutes. NO THANKS for Jay Zuniga (senior property manager) who continued to tell maintenance to NOT look at HVAC systems until he deemed it was necessary. Absolutely ridiculous. I would be willing to increase my rating if I am appropriately compensated for the lack of HVAC system for 3 weeks. read more

Have made at least 20 attempts to reach someone there. No one ever picks up the phone. I have tried to speak with the main office and they just transfer me back to them with no answer. If this is how they treat potential customers it does not say much for them. This is very poor customer service and I decided to go else where since they will not so much as answer their phone. read more

They literally do not know how to answer a phone, the office door is locked and they're by appointment only but how can I schedule an appointment if nobody answers the phone. They've been going back and forth with me all week saying they can't verify my income and keep requesting the same documents that I keep sending over and somehow it's just impossible for them to verify anything. They get back to you on their own time. I could call 5 times back to back and get transferred all 5 times to people in different states because Pangea groves does not answer the phone. Horrible communication. they might be nice people but the entire leasing office is severely lacking in something, wethers it's employees or a sense of urgency. read more

I lived in this community for a year and had so many issues. The whole summer I had no A/C and was on the third floor sweating it out. I had problem with bed bugs and maintenance not responding in a timely manner. The office staff was nice but didn't respond often to phone calls or emails. Parking is horrible, especially for guest. But overall, you get what you pay for. This is a cheap place where I felt reasonably safe. For the price and location it sort of out weighed the bad with maintenance. Definitely consider your options before leasing here though. read more

Is Update: Shortly after I posted my review, maintenance came by and within the next week my AC was working better. They also installed a handle on the door like I suggested. My husband tells me that the property manager stopped by, apologized, and gave us a 100 gift card. Very unexpected but greatly appreciated. Thank you! Hopefully the same diligence and professionalism will continue. I'd love to see how this property will improve and grow throughout our stay here. Residents are more likely to praise a business when they see real, quality improvements. So thank you for being responsive regarding my requests. read more

I have lived in Pangea Groves for a month and a half and it has been nothing but positives, in my mind. The leasing agents are always helpful and willing to answer even the smallest question. People have said that parking is a problem. I have never not had a parking spot when coming back. The complex is close to the Monon and a 30 minute walk to Broad Ripple. There are restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk and numerous stores within the area, both department stores and local stores. It is a very family oriented environment with a small playground and pool within the complex. Rent is decent for the area. I would highly suggest Pangea Groves to anyone looking for a chill apartment complex with decent amenities, close to Broad Ripple, The Monon and Downtown. read more

No guest parking anymore, boyfriend has been staying here on and off for couple months and todays the today (hence the review) we woke up to it towed. When they redid the parking I asked where guest parking was they hadn't put it in yet and none since then. Also, my old roommates company car got its window smashed in by (I'm guessing) some kids one night - so did another vehicle. I'll say one nice thing, the man who runs Pangea is very kind. He worked on a deal with me to pay less than what I had to for an extra month stay. But it's not the safest here and the towing my boyfriend's car sent me over the edge. read more

Amazing lived here for a year resigned the lease amazing customer service skills anytime I have a request or need anything they are very quick to respond as well as follow through amazing units! I don't even want to give them 1 star. This place is a joke. My mom is living here and in the last year she has had 4 different situations where human poo (from floors above here) have flooded her bathroom. It comes up into her bathtub and her kitchen sink. The apartment complex does nothing about it. They send a maintenance man to here and they apologize and that's it. UNACCEPTABLE. They won't clean her bathroom for her afterwards, and they obviously aren't fixing anything since it keeps happening. She wants to break here lease to move out and they wont work with her. They want to charge her the early termination fees. DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS. read more

It's cheap and convenient in its location. A lot depends on which apt you get. Mine leaked/rained from my front windows whenever it rained hard. Maint 'fixed' it. It still leaks a little during a heavy rain. Not sure about the mold issues. Maint is all about the quick fix. I've been lucky with the tenants around my apt. Except for my car being keyed, they are fairly quiet. Others I've talked to aren't so lucky. The walls are thin and if you have loud neighbors you will hear them. Staff comes and goes fairly frequently. Not a lot of consistency. But I've only had a couple of problems with them screwing up my rent payments, and those were fixed. read more

I've lived in these apartments for two years with minimum issues. However, This last situation lacked professionalism, Integrity, and compassion towards a loyal tenant. After a flood in my apartment due to a maintenance issue causing back up in the pipes after alot of rain. My entire apartment accumulated mold and mildew. The oder caused me to be nauseous and light heard. I've been displaced for over two weeks without any accommodation. The front office staff is very rude, specifically Brittany. She always has an attitude and never a direct answer when inquiring information. I called, left voice mails, and emailed the front office as well as Thomas, property zone manger with out any response for days at a time. Once I took off work and made an appearance, I found out he was on vacation. Once I emailed him informing him that corporate had been notified and I would be taking legal actions due to an uninhabitable apartment, he call me within two minutes. He was unwilling to accommodate any of my displacement. I asked for the same amount of time of displacement to look for a new place and move out. He responded no he could not do that. I asked how much time I could have. His suggestion was to pay rent for the uninhabitable apartment and have until the 30th to move out. Clearly that was not a realistic option. Out of frustration I stated I could be out by the weekend. (This was stated saturday at 1:30pm) the property manager quickly responded Ok, I'll change the locks on Monday. For an additional inconvenience, I asked my family to drive from Michigan (I'm a fairly new educator in Indianapolis alone) to help me move all my belongings to a storage. I went in Monday to sign out of my lease. The form they drafted stated they are not to be held accountable for any of the mis haps. read more

I recently moved into this community a year an half ago, and there has been nothing but positive things to say. The leasing agents are very helpful and kind, and always there to answer my questions. I have never had a problem with any of the other tenants that live there, it is very quite and peaceful. I enjoy the fact that it is close to the Monon Trail. NOT SAFE!!! Not a single good thing about the complex. The pool was closed for health violations. There have been gun shots fired around my vehicle-over 30 shells found. Vehicle broken into multiple times. The new manager is ridiculously rude. The new manager refused to fix my AC for over a month during the summer. Still charged full rent even with no AC.......and just recently some vehicle's were set on fire during the night. If I had time I would stand in front of the leasing office and warn everyone that considers moving in. Your vehicle/belongings/family are not safe in this "Student Friendly" trash of an apartment complex. read more

The office staff treat you like crap on the bottom of their shoe and their manager is non-responsive. They've withheld my $600 security deposit for 2months after stiffing me on an apartment that was not available after all. Howdy people looking for an apartment. When I first started my search in the middle of winter I was really disheartened because it seemed like I was getting nowhere fast. Then I called an set up an appt to see Pangea Groves. I was taken aback by not originally speaking to someone directly from the leasing office on site. When you call you schedule an appt through central scheduling then go to your appt. It was very easy to set up and also to cancel and reschedule as I had to do because of weather. When we got to our appt we were greeted right away and the reception area was really nice and relaxing. There was even a water cooler available for water. Everyone was incredibly nice. Applying for an apartment was probably the easiest I've ever seen to apply for an apartment. We got to see the one we wanted and even though my roommate and I decided to change up our minds last minute the staff was very accommodating and helpful. We haven't lived here yet but I do have to say that the little dog run with provided doggy poop bags is a really nice touch. If you are looking for an apartment you should check out Pangea Groves or any other of their sister properties. read more

don't move here or you will find out what bad management looks like. don't fall for the no dep no app fee and so on. neighbors are loud with young college kids who need to be spanked. seriously though, I have seen poorly managed apartmemts but this place fills all the blanks of do not live here. you will suffer because neighbors are rowdy like you are in a bar. walls are so thin you can literally here your neighbor having sex 4 am in the morning. my concern is security. their useless and don't show up. cars broken into. constant running up and down the stairs fill like whole floor is moving. management does absolutely nothing as far as regulating their own rules. nothing good to say other than don't move here or you will suffer. no wonder this place has new owners. owners might have changed but everythg bad is like the way it was. read more

I have lived in Pangea for 2 years and while the location is great, the price is great, and the buildings look very nice on the outside, they have many problems from the inside. A year ago my ceiling fell through because of the tenants upstairs, while maintenance fixed the issue quickly, their "quick fix" shows. You can still see a giant square in my ceiling where it is a different color and is not smooth at all. I don't know how they would re-rent my unit, because it is an eye sore. I also don't get much cool air or heat in my bedroom because the vent does not align correctly. I put in a work order when I first moved in, but nothing was done about it. The maintenance team said they couldn't do anything about it. My dad works in HVAC and had many concerns with the way everything was set up as well. Now, after living at the apartment for 2 years, my carpet is starting to come up. I also noticed the other day, when I moved a chair, that my floor is caving in. I have not had many issues with noise or anything, but the way the apartment was built and the sloppy way in which things are fixed is disappointing. It seems that the people who work in the office do not care. I have to decide soon whether or not to renew my lease. I hate the idea of moving, because I am settled into my place and really love the location, but I can't decide if it's worth it to put up with all of the problems my apartment has. I would possibly recommend this place for young people and hope they have better luck than I have had. The balconies are nice and, and the complex just added a mini workout room, but when my rent has gone up over 100.00 in one year (I am month to month so that has something to do with it), I can't see staying in a place with so many issues. I really enjoy this Apartment complex. It has the nicest and most helpful staff. Anything I have needed they have been on top of very quickly. From what I hear there was a change of staff in the office and I can say the current ones are amazing. They are very affordable and a lot of the units have been renovated recently. They make sure that they fix issues quickly so that they don't start to become run down. The other residents are all really nice. Many times when walking my dog I run into someone I have never met and we have a great conversation about anything and everything. It is in a really nice location near Broadripple and all that there is to do there. I would HIGHLY recommend these apartments to anyone. read more
