I reached out to the salon that Priscilla run The Pink Tulip out of to see if she was still there and how to make an appointment, they gave me the phone number and told me to text her. I was happy to hear that she went back to texting since last year she had me sign up for an app (vagaro app) to make appointments and it was difficult to find her and she also did not have her availability set up, which is actually one of the reasons why I never returned. The reason for the one star this time is because I texted the number in the morning inquiring about getting a wax. She now has an assistant that helps her with her appointments. She asked me when was the last time I shaved/waxed and let her know that it had been a week. (In my mind it was obvious that I would be wanting to schedule something out for 5 weeks). She told me "oh ok unfortunately we need 4-6 weeks of hair growth" and then in a separate text asked me if I wanted to schedule something out for another 5 weeks. I let her know that I was hoping to do that and then asked what days of the week is Priscilla in since I am only available on weekends. Maybe I asked too many questions (I asked 3) but they never replied back to me. It was later in the afternoon when I replied to their last text (5:30pm) so if I had to wait till the next day to hear back I wasn't going to be upset. This conversation happened on 10/23 and it is now 11/1 and I have yet to hear back. Priscilla is the only one who I have found that does waxing in the high desert so its a little disappointing when I cant even access her work. While her pricing can seem a little high, she is totally worth it and you can tell that she wants her work to be good. One of the reasons why I wanted to go back to her! But we will see if I ever hear back. read more

Okay so I've been going to the Pretty Kitty down in rancho the last few years, and I had a friend that told me to try going to Priscilla at the Pink Tulip about a year ago and I finally did earlier this week. Let me tell you, I wish I would've made the switch long ago! She does an amazing job, and is very detailed (did not miss anything), where I feel like before when I was going to the pretty kitty, they didn't care as much. And I honestly think it hurt less here at the pink tulip, not sure how though. It is a little hard to find if you're not aware that it is located inside of the Eclips salon (inside the target shopping center). I called this place and left a voicemail that I wanted to schedule an appt in the next week. No response. I called again a couple more times 3 days later and there was no answer. Why I called AGAIN the next day to try to speak with someone, who knows? I ended up calling another place after I saw that I wasn't going to talk to anyone here and scheduling an appointment for the following day. An hour after I made my appointment elsewhere and after 4 days after calling the first time, I received a text from this place saying "Thank you for calling The Pink Tulip, how can I help you?" I have been meaning to write a review for Pink Tulip now for over a year. I found her on Yelp after I had the WORST waxing experience ever at a nail salon. I have been getting waxed for almost 8 years now and would usually just go to a nail salon that offered waxing. It was always hit and miss on whether the waxer would do a good job or not. I never had a bad experience until I did and now I understand why some women who have a bad first experience never do it again. I, for a moment, thought about never having it done again, it hurt that bad. I decided to try Pink Tulip and if it was bad I was gonna swear off waxing. I always get a Brazilian done. After reading the reviews I felt confident in trying once again. I am SO glad I did! My first wax was awesome! She got every hair! The environment was super nice and relaxing. I was SO impressed with her work and professionalism. I have now been going to her for over 2 years and every time I go the experience is better than the last. She is always trying out new serums that help with the initial pain and then for healing the skin afterwards. I have very sensitive skin and it gets bright pink and stays that way for a few days. As of the past year, she has been trying new things to help reduce the redness and quicken the healing process, it works! My skin has been able to quickly heal and not be as red as it use to be. I 100 percent recommend Pink Tulip! Side note, I'm from the high desert but within the past year I moved up to Washington state. I have family in Southern California so I'm always visiting. Priscilla is the absolute best esthetician! I have lived in many areas and have been to a few different places including the Pretty Kitty and the European Wax Center. There is no esthetician that compares to Priscilla. For example, I had to go to a different place due to a vacation and my timing was limited so I decided to go to the European Wax Center. I felt confident going because someone recommended them. That was the biggest mistake by far. My esthetician at the European Wax Center was extremely quiet, she did not try to make the appointment any less uncomfortable than I'd already felt and she went so slow that the pain was unbearable. I had to convince myself not to walk out a quarter through the appointment. Walking in, the setting was cold, far too quiet and the person at the front desk was not friendly and far from social.
