Another goodun is the new Butternut Squash Burger, with Butternut squash, polenta, celariac, spring onions, pecan nuts, breadcrumbs & parmesan. Wow! Another good thing is that new additions are always being added so you'll never run the risk of getting bored. The milkshakes are also amazing - ask for a chocolate one with a shot of lime and you'll me more than pleasantly surprised! In fact, I sometimes feel like in the movie "Groundhog Day" where Bill Murray relives the same interactions day after day, without the people being involved actually having any recollections of them...but hey, this is Pret, what can you expect, right? I was especially pleased to see a GBK arrive here given that (a) I am a fan already and (b) we are at the cinema at Southside a lot. Well, this new addition did not disappoint. We only had an hour to kill before our movie and were really rather hungry; we were sat around 7pm on a Thursday night and was done eating less than 40minutes later. The food was up with the usual good standards of GBK; juicy burgers, generous toppings, and oh - those sweet potato fries and bacon aioli. Bacon aioli! It is marvellous. I want to dip everything I ever eat in bacon aioli. GBK are going through a bit of a makeover at the moment, and this is the first I have seen with the new, brighter decor. Given the restaurant here is brand new, everything feels nicely fresh and clean. There were scrabble tiles designating everything from the M/F bathrooms, the staff areas, and otherwise spelling out amusing messages around the building. The waiting staff are all full of energy and chattiness and make the whole thing that little more pleasant. Oh, and whilst there's a good amount of seats downstairs, there was a whole other bar and area upstairs. I think they may rent out some of it as private space, but it looks a great size and just as airy and bright as the downstairs. All in all, if you love GBK, this is a nice and fresh addition to the chain!

It keeps some classic elements like the peg-letter sign board, but the whole place has a fresh and modern design that is clearly down to being able to fit in a new build space. The staff were really friendly, welcoming, & genuine. The burgers were standard GBK delicious! Just as yummy as I expect from this chain. I was happy to see the sweet potato fries with bacon aioli are on the menu here as they are just divine. I could put that bacon aioli on almost anything - it's that good. Definitely a nice spot to grab a bite before the cinema and a happy overall addition to the central Wandsworth area!

I was with friends who wanted to make their way through the Belgian beer list, and it is comprehensive beyond your wildest dreams. I lost count of the varied amount of beer that were on tap, but I saw blonde bier (using the Belgian spelling), brown bier, fruit bier, Trappist bier, as well as ales. Pages and pages of all types of beer. They all went down a treat - apart from for me, who doesn't like beer! Sorry everyone. Still, there was plenty to eat and drink, and non beer drinkers needn't feel left out. The lunch and dinner menu is also Belgian themed, one speciality is mussels, done 4 different ways. I also spied larger plates, like Belgian sausage and mash. I was pleased to see that there was plenty of wine on offer, and they thoughtfully suggested matches of meals to the drinks. The wine list does jump up in price though, most of the bottles were £25.00 or up. There were a handful of house wines which were under £15.00, thankfully.
