My review of the pod shop comes after two disappointing experiences and ultimately, I would not recommend to friends, family or strangers. If you are wanting to help local businesses take your money and time elsewhere, especially if it's your wedding. Don't make the same mistake (TWICE) as I did. My husband and I found this florist after some neighbors recommended. We are local and so are they. We had put a deposit down for our wedding, but COVID got in the way and dates had to be changed. They were understanding (as all our vendors were) and we decided to have micro wedding to make it official and delay the 'real one' to when it would be safe. Unfortunately, the bouquet I asked for at our micro wedding was completely wrong. In our 30 min planning meeting with the owner (Kim) I requested a "Brides bouquet - hand tied style with full look, slightly cascading - petal to petal with open garden roses and spray roses and hydrangea medium size. Colors - ivory/cream with blush pink accents." I provided pictures and examples of the size/color scheme and display. I had a whole Pinterest board of exactly what I wanted. It was written into the contract. How could this go wrong? Well either this was forgotten/ignored or I received someone else's flowers. The bouquet I received was a white round snowball/sphere of roses and white hydrangea. No cascade. No greenery. No pink antique roses or blush accents. It was not anything like the vision I had. I was close to tears - plus the roses kept plopping off. We asked for the rest of our deposit back that the Pod shop was holding for the second wedding and explained the mix up with our disappointment. Perhaps I should have demanded a refund for the $195 bouquet (we are not usually ones to complain!). Instead of an apology or explanation- we were met with silence and after many prodding emails later Kim told us we could not get the deposit back, but we could use it to purchase more flowers from the Pod shop (or else they would just keep our $). Great. Not leaving much choice, we ordered some flowers with the left-over deposit (~$250) for our second wedding. Some fancy garden roses at $10/per rose and ~8 boutonnieres for the second wedding (which were simple calla lilies). We picked up the flowers the day before kept them watered and cool. We were going to use these roses to decorate our cake. They were stunning- BUT all but one rose collapsed with all the petals falling off - totally broken, disintegrated and unusable for decoration. $70 down the tubes. The boutonnieres were fine, but nothing special. All in all it was a disheartening experience from the Pod shop. For their prices and reviews I expected better. I was grateful that I did not order any important arrangements from them for the second wedding. In quality, durability, dependability and price - I have to honestly admit that the flowers we ordered from Sam's Club online were better. read more

The Pod Shop created the most amazing bohemian-style arrangements for our wedding, full of succulents, feathers, thistles and greenery. Both of us brides wanted something unique that complemented each other, but matched our personalities. Our bouquets were perfectly unique - one was softer with peonies, the other edgier with feathers. We also had flower crowns made that I was really, really nervous about, after all, it was going to be part of my wedding attire. I shouldn't have been worried, my bridal crown ended up being my absolute favorite piece of my outfit!! I was a little hesitant at first about hiring The Pod Shop because many of the sample arrangements I saw online seemed to be more traditional, which wasn't what I was looking for. I called the Pod to order three arrangements for my mother in law for Xmas. I know floristry so telling the person what I wanted over the phone was pretty simple. I wanted two bouquets of roses in vases with two dozen each. I paid top dollar for each 120$ each and was told they would include babies breather and other fillers to make them full and amazing. I then ordered a center piece. I was given three prices. I asked for the most expensive price thinking I was getting some amazing arrangement that would really be full of flowers and which included roses and other flowers. So I paid top dollar for all three arrangements and said there wasn't a rush on delivery because I wanted to make sure these flowers were really well done. " she replied in a snotty way that ALL their flowers are always well done." The delivery arrived an hour or two later which I thought was so fast. I also received photos of the three arrangements. Total disappointment. The roses had no other filler in the bouquets just all the leaves from the roses which usually get thinned back and a few sticks which were painted white sticking out of the arrangement the arrangements looked sloppy. The bow was sloppy and the vase was cheap small vase. The roses were not long stem either although I paid long stem prices. The center piece was sparse and had pine cones and only about 6 roses and a few other flowers. I asked for a full arrangement and all white. I stressed the idea that I wanted all white many times. The center piece had a few white flowers but mostly it was green with gold spray painted pinecones. The arrangement looked like the other two I ordered very sloppy sparse and not at all the 400$ worth I was charged. So three over priced arrangements thrown together and delivered within hours of my call. Lastly the person taking the phone order was the owner. She seemed irritated I was making this order and was not very pleasant. I could not have been an easier client and never once balked on her high prices. I just wanted Xmas flowers for my beautiful mother in law and willing to pay what ever as long as the flowers were gorgeous. Her attitude was awful but when I hung up I thought oh well everyone has bad days but when the flowers were so poorly arranged and didn't include all we specially talked about I felt really taken advantage of. You'd think a business like this in a small town would do it's very best and make every effort to wow their clients so as to get the return visit. Not impressed and my flower business will go else where now. Just because someone calls from out of town doesn't mean they won't see the flowers. Over priced under delivered. The one thing they do have going is their speedy delivery. But I'd rather get what I ordered and slower delivery. Then over charged and sloppy product. read more

We had a great experience with The Pod Shop! My husband and I recently worked with Kim there for our wedding. She was so helpful and put our exact vision to reality. Typically an in-person consultation happens but I got very sick and we were unable to show up. Kim went out of her way, that same day, and took the time to make several examples (based on our phone call) and sent them all to us in pictures. She offered helpful suggestions, but was never controlling during the design process. Unprofessional and very poor customer service. Flowers delivered were wilted not watered and damaged by the cold weather. Plants received were different than what was ordered. Owner was very defensive when confronted and did not want to make things right even though she received over a thousand dollars in orders because of our loved ones death. An arrangement of flowers was sent to me as a gift. It was left on my front porch as I wasn't at home. Several hours later when I got the message on my phone, I found the flowers were not there. I ordered the arrangement "Zen Artistry" via Internet for my sister. The communications and delivery were excellent. However when my sister sent me a picture of the arrangement, there was nothing "Zen" about it. It was ok but just a normal arrangement and not at all what I ordered or wanted. No palm leaf, dry bamboo that looked like old sticks instead of green fresh bamboo and different flowers. I realize that there is a disclaimer if things are not in season or available the shop can use what they have but when almost nothing is the same as the arrangement I ordered, I would have appreciated knowing so.
