Thankfully, New Braunfels Podiatry got me in one day later. Dr. Ransom was incredible. He made me feel comfortable, explained everything, and the procedure was quick and much easier than I expected. My right toe developed an ingrown nail three weeks ago. I tried really hard to take care of it…read moremyself, but it kept getting worse. Yesterday, I went to the Emergency Room in New Braunfels and the doctor there did his best to excise the offending piece of nail. This morning, my toe was throbbing, and bleeding so I knew that things were just not right. I was not a prior patient of this practice. I called Dr. Ransom's office at 10:30 today, not realizing that normally they close at 12 on Friday. I fully expected to have to wait over the weekend to get an appointment. None-the-less, Dr. Ransom took my call... talked to me personally and told me to come right in. I arrived at his office quickly and after only a few minutes, I was called back to an exam room. Dr. Ransom explained why the ER visit didn't quite fix my problem. He was able to get the ingrown toenail out and bandaged very quickly. After suffering for three weeks, today is the first day my toe is only tender. Dr. Ransom's staff were all very polite and everyone was extremely nice. I recommend this practice very highly.

I had injections done on both heels and recommended orthotics. Just with the injections, my feet feel so much better, no more pain. Years ago I had seen Dr. Castillo for bunion surgery. It was a great experience. Recently I…read moresuspected I have plantar fasciitis and went to see them again and I was hooked up with Dr. Olenchek. I got an x-ray, spoke with him for about 5 minutes, and was sold a VERY expensive foot brace which wasn't disclosed to me at the time. They are doing very shady things with their billing. My insurance company even agrees. The billing department is staffed by people who barely speak English and it's very hard to understand them effectively. So they are charging me almost $300 for this foot brace which costs about $30 on Amazon and they will not let me return it or give a more reasonable price. I paid nearly $300 the day I was there then received a bill for another $300 something. I guess they figured "she's a good payer - send her another bill". They REFUSE to work with me on this. So I'm out over $600 in total so far to speak with Dr. Olenchek for 5 minutes and for a ridiculously expensive foot brace they totally scammed me on. AVOID!

The clinic is in the One Medical building that has plenty of open parking, just make sure you're going the right direction. Dr. Preston had an opening quickly and was even able to see me a little earlier than scheduled. The staff were very friendly and I especially enjoyed meeting Dr Preston's dog Boozer who was very well behaved and sweet. The check-in is done easily on an iPad with my contact information was already pre-entered which I greatly appreciated. They did make sure that I was OK with there being a dog there before I went in for my appointment which I of course was. Boozer was the highlight of the whole experience which overall was quick, easy and pleasant.
