Absolutely horrible! For the first time in 23 years I had someone close my pool. They left without…read morethe pool cover being worked enough to actually cover the pool surface. Yes the pool cover is smaller than I would like, but I have always managed to get it to cover the whole water surface. When I called to complain, I got the excuse that the cover is too small. All it takes is a little bit of time. But they weren't willing to do that. I fixed the problem in about 40 minutes by myself (a 60 yr old man.) Also, why wouldn't you use the beveled washers with the anchors? Makes it so much easier to free the cover from the in ground anchors. And who closes a pool but doesn't put inserts in the holes to keep water ( which freezes) out of where three ladder and main stair hand rail anchor? All of these items were sitting out for them. Two words - Never Again.

I called Alstadt to get an estimate on a gas leak repair. They quoted me $140 an hour . One guy…read morecame to detect the leak and was here an hour , then another guy came to repair the leak and was here for 1.5 hours . That is a total of 2.5 hours . The guy could not find the gas leak and proceeded to tell us that we had old rusty pipes and should just probably replace it , so we set up work to be done on it the next day. I called their office to get an idea of what we owed for the work done thus far , so that we knew what to expect for both days. I was told that we owe $600, and i asked why because nothing was done and he couldn't find the leak and she said $250 was added for helium to find the leak ; which we never agreed to or was even told anything about . I said " well i hate to be rude but apparently the helium didn't work, because he could not find the location of the leak " so basically, we just paid all of that money for nothing . I said that i would like to speak to the owner and she said they would take $175 off the bill which in my opinion i still not enough considering nothing was found or repaired. They then proceeded to tell me that we should part ways which i thought was ridiculous considering i only asked to speak with the owner. Another plumber ( 50 years of service ) came out and looked at everything and said they did absolutely nothing but leave you with a hole in the ground and a big bill. He said i would call over there and talk to Chip . I called and asked for Chip and the lady told me to hang on and went and put another lady on the phone who said that he doesn't want to talk to you and neither does anyone else here and do not call back. This is terrible business practice and i will never in my life do business with them. I will pay double or triple the price to avoid this business

rip off! I called to have a simple washer replaced in my kitchen faucet. They told me it would cost…read more250 just for them to come out. They said if it didn't cost that much then they would refund me the remainder. I was fine with that when the gentleman got here, he told me he stripped the set screw and he was going out to his truck to see if he had one and couldn't find one. He went to the plumbing supply place. He said to get a new one. I assumed it was a new set screw, but it came back with a very plain new kitchen faucet. I thought that's cost over $100 even if they do up the price. He finished the job and later I got a bill for $450. This very plain kitchen faucet cost $195. It is not the out. It doesn't do anything fancy it's just a faucet. I've used this company several times in the past they did good work at an honest price. Apparently their values have changed and they've decided to become a company stay away.

It started with him not honoring the discount of the pool kit that was an extra 90 dollar's that he guaranteed that my pool would open clear, or it would go towards the opening of the pool. He also said that he would use his own chemicals but ended up charging me for chemicals used. Didn't screw down over half of the concrete pool cover anchors. And has been ignoring me about a current pool leak that I have.
