I've found OSSC to be a GREAT way to meet people and make friends and play and have fun! They do a bunch of pub crawls and sponsor events at bars & restaurants occasionally. The best part though are the leagues. They have 5 different leagues: soccer, volleyball, kickball, softball, and flag football. All are pretty fun, although I've very preferential to kickball. I've dealt with the league offices many times as I've been the captain on every team that I've been on and they are fair and listen and do make changes to league rules after listening to their teams. The only knock on the OSSC is the refs. I know that no one likes the refs, but some go specifically out of their way to be jerks. Most go out of their way to be awesome and fair, thus the 4-starts instead of 3. It's hard for the OSSC to get the most amazing people, because who wants a low-paying 4-hour a night job, but that's what it is. Mainly it's Valencia and UCF students, and they're pretty cool as long as you just keep in mind that it's only a game and mainly you're there to hang out and drink. It's that one team or two teams that always are overly competitive that ruin some weeks, but typically 7 out of 8 weeks per season are just fun and lightly competitive and just an all-around great time.

I've been playing flag football in this league for 2 years now. There is no reason to be intimidated because they have a variety of different leagues to accommodate for your skill level. Skill levels can range from weekend warriors to teams with play books and set practices. My intention for joining was to get some exercise while having fun and meeting new people and it has not disappointed. I look forward to playing every week and I have even played multiple times a week in order to help other teams when they are short. I have met some of my best friends from this league and it has definitely proven to be a successful social experience. I haven't been in other flag football leagues but this one is very organized. They have a multiple refs available per game and post the schedule and game results online for easy viewing. If you are looking for a way to get exercise and socialize I would highly recommend Orlando Sport and Social Club. FYI: They also do other sports like soccer, softball, and volleyball.
