If that wasn't enough, you can head to the counter where you can choose from a delicious selection of homemade fudge - including but not limited to: Heath bar, Butterfinger, red velvet, salty caramel, double chocolate and about 10 others I can't remember. Plus you can choose from a shelf full of canned goods! But what we came for was the lunch. And it turns out, so everyone else. All of the tables in the place were packed (~5 tables, about 15 of us total) and everyone seemed wholly satisfied. I opted for the cuban but just about any of the paninis looked solid. And for a gas station/haberdashery/fudge shop/melon stall/restroom stop/restaurant - I'd say we hit the jackpot.

I loved walking through the rows and rows of trees -- White Pine, Scotch Pine, Norway Spruce, Fraser Fir, and Blue Spruce. Wreaths are also available. We selected a Fraser Fir (our first time with this type of tree) and loved the shorter, tighter, almost soft needles and of course a fresh tree smell that can't be beat! The pricing for a tree was very reasonable, averaging 7-$10/ft for most trees and the staff will cut, shake, trim and bale the tree for you -- they can get the trees shockingly compact for transport! The staff was so friendly, which made the experience even better. When it's not Christmastime, the farm seasonally supplies pumpkins and winter squash, Indian Corn, Chrysanthemums, Straw, and live ball & burlap trees to the tri-state area with Fall Harvest events with activities for families as well as educational tours available.* The Goebel Family are the 2nd and 3rd generations to be farming at their current farm location, raising Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Pumpkins and Christmas Trees.* *taken from the website

There is a wide selection of delicious local foods at excellent prices, including fruits, vegetables, meats, maple syrup, honey, baked goods, and jam preserves. Some vendors sell soaps, aprons, baskets, hand-carved spoons, and other specialty items. A few vendors sell potted plants and fresh cut flowers. There is free coffee. Everyone is very friendly. There's a tent for folk music jammers - you can join in if you're into that, or just enjoy the free music. The book tent gives a free book to kids, and they can play on the wonderful playground just feet away. The playground has 4 slides, swings, a merry-go-round, toys to sit on and ride, monkey bars, and lots of other fun equipment to climb on. This farmer's market is definitely worth checking out if you live in the area. I recommend buying some fresh peaches or a local watermelon or cantaloupe.
