I moved to East Stroudsburg from Long Island in 1999, into a house built in 1973. The 220 v…read moreelectric pump had been in place since 1991 and the copper plumbing installed in 1973 along with the Weil mcClaine furnace. I chose Pritchard Plumbing heating to replace it all - the 220 volt electric pump with a new pump at 200' in the 222' well. and an emergency hand pump at 150'. The copper piping (which leaked constantly) was replaced with plastic PEX pipe (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-linked_polyethylene ) and at the same time, the Weil McClaine furnace installed in 1973 was replaced with a new system. David Pritchard - CEO of Pritchard Plumbing & Heating - did all the work - on time and under budget. The emergency backup hand pump was installed with a "curb valve" of David's own design; it switches off the electric pump when the main electrical power fails and enables the manual pump (during Hurricane Sandy we were without electricity for seven days - one hour's manual pumping (directly into our pressure tanks, which allowed us to flush toilets, run the water in the sink, etc. under pressure) gave us all the water we needed for the day! Over the years we have called David many times for new faucets, toilet repair, water testing, etc. and he has never failed us and always responded with a cheerful greeting and prompt, inexpensive service. I highly recommend this excellent plumber! Thank you, David Pritchard for 18 years service to our family! Doug Kenney Founder & CEO BANK DATA BANK CONSULTANTS
