Breakfast was in the restaurant and there was plenty of cereal, fruit juice and cooked items available which was cooked to order. Delish! The bar prices are expensive. The meal we had in the restaurant was lovely, service was excellent. The prices were expensive. £45 for 3 a la carte courses and £25 from the other menu. You could pick and choose off both. All the staff we came into contact with were great: friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

It is classed as a budget chain hotel somewhere along the lines of the Premier Travel Inn and serves it's purpose very well. The prices vary, you can pick up early bird bargains of B&B for as little as £19 a night but the average is £39 - £50. The rooms are maybe a little boxy but they are more than adequate, they are clean, with functional bathrooms, good showers and with complimentary shampoos and soaps. Towels are changed daily. Staff are very polite indeed, very friendly, moreso than some of the high end hotels I have been to in the city centre. The food is excellent, breakfast comprises of continental or full English, both are to a high standard and most enjoyable. The evening meals available in the restaurant are more than adequate - not haute cuisine but for the money they are a good place to eat if you aren't wanting to spend a bomb or if you are a business traveller with limited time (or you don't want to get lost in the city!). I would recommend the Comfort Inn as it certainly is comfortable, in a good location with parking, and close to all local amenities.

Breakfast was delicious and lots of tea and coffee provided. We stayed 2 nights and highly recommend this wonderful gem.

My largest complaint is that after I returned to Australia I was billed for a handful of charges which were not on my bill when checking out. I contacted the hotel multiple times via email and they never contacted me. I don't believe any of the charges were true. Either someone else made them or they charged me for services I never used. We had a three course meal which was delicious and very well presented (although it was commented that they didn't really know how to cater for children). Our stay included breakfast which was of the 'eat all you can' variety and really hit the spot with a great selection of hot and cold, healthy and not so healthy dishes. The big let down was the accommodation which cost about four times what you would pay in a premier inn and didn't even come close in terms of space and cleanliness. We had ordered a room with an extra bed for our youngest son and found that with the bed set out we couldn't open the door! To be fair, when we mentioned this at check out the lady immediately knocked off the price of the extra bed.

That wasn't a problem for us. I ordered the pork medallions with Stilton sauce. My wife had the Scottish salmon with a tomato-based white wine sauce. They said the fish came in from the coast that very morning. We had a rather large plate of vegetables to share. That plate had carrots, potatoes, parsnips and broccoli. Overall, this was a wonderful dinner. We wish we had a place like this near our home.

These neat little mini-apartments have everything you could need for a short trip or a longer stay, with the open-plan layout incorporating a well-equipped kitchenette and lounge area as well as a large, comfy bed. Roomzzz have three properties in Leeds, and my parents stay at the Central location which is a short walk from town and close to the huge Opal student complexes so good for visiting parents. The rooms look a little poky on the website but are in fact fairly spacious, with plenty of room to accommodate two visitors for dinner without it being a squeeze. Altogether Roomzzz is great value for money - particularly if you actually use the kitchen facilities and cook at home!

There are three complexes dotted around the city; central, 361 and city. Aparthotels attempt to combine the idea of having your own apartment with the full service offered by a hotel, aiming to give you accomodation that can feel more personable with clean towels readily available! We stayed in the newest of the three complexes; Roomzzz Leeds City. For the price we paid (£59 internet rate) and for the fantastic accomodation we enjoyed, Roomzzz really is a perfect place to stay in the city centre. It's a fantastic concept and for those bored of satisfactory stays in chain hotels, give Roomzzz a go - there's probably more than you've got at home!

I'd requested a window view room, and our second story view looked down on the River Ouse. The Guest House's location in town is great, being a five minute walk from the York Train Station via the new pedestrian bridge and within easy walking of everything else in town. The nearby Abbey's gorgeous gardens provided an especially pleasant shortcut into town, rain or shine. Then there were the accommodations. After staying in a cramped London hotel, we felt as if we could breathe! The bed was spacious, and the room and toilet facilities were great. I think the only criticism I can offer at all is that the shower drain was slow. The human element was wonderful, too. The owners of the Guest House were actually away, leaving us in the care of a professional B&B sitter. She was a kind, attentive hostess, happy to help us with anything we needed. We were greeted upon arrival with Yorkshire tea and warmed brownies! Our breakfasts were wonderful, too. She worked with our schedule so that we could eat there before doing a day tour and before our train departed. The default breakfast is a Full English, which we didn't do. My husband was happy with just the meat portion of the breakfast (those Yorkshire sausages...! don't expect teeny tiny American-style breakfast sausages) while I tried both of the lighter options, salmon with scrambled eggs and then Eggs Benedict. All accompanied by Yorkshire tea, of course, along with fresh toast. The breakfast bar included yogurt, a really good muesli, fresh fruit, and three excellent local jams and marmalades. We felt well-fortified for the day's adventures. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
