Tempted by the £9.95 banquet we paid a visit on a Thursday evening, but the eye-watering drinks prices still threw up a £66 bill for 3 diners with one of us on soft drinks (£3.80 tonic water).
Service and quality has always won through and brought us back in the past, but tonight we sat down and ordered drinks and papadoms only to be told that we couldn't have papadoms until after we had ordered our food !!!
Is that a real rule?
To add further insult they then left us for 10 minutes or so without taking an order or bringing drinks. The restaurant will be quick to explain how they don't make money on the set menu, in which case they might consider putting a bit of enthusiasm into serving up the extras and drinks, which were actually more than the cost of the meals.
The restaurant was brisk but no overly busy.
