There are places you visit... and then there are places that feel like they've been quietly waiting…read morefor you to find them. Solidago is the latter. The moment you walk in, you can feel it--this isn't just a shop, it's a living, breathing creation. Every shelf, every scent, every thoughtfully placed detail feels intentional and curated with a level of care that's honestly rare to come by these days. If you're drawn to apothecary, the esoteric, the intellectual, the beautifully strange--this place is a dream. Not in a trendy, surface-level way... but in a deep, rooted, soul-nourishing kind of way. And Wade... You can tell this space is a labor of love. Wade hasn't just built a store--he's created an experience. One that honors knowledge, craft, and curiosity. There's a quiet brilliance to it. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. It feels studied. Respected. Lived in. You don't just browse here--you linger. You explore. You ask questions. You notice things you didn't expect to notice. It invites you to slow down, to connect, to be present in a way most retail spaces simply don't. It's rare to find a place that feels both intellectually stimulating and energetically grounding at the same time--but somehow, this one does exactly that. San Marcos is lucky to have it. Truly. If you appreciate intention, depth, and beauty in all its forms... go. Take your time. Let yourself get lost in it. Some places you shop at. This one, you experience.

My friend and I had such a blast walking through this place! It's like an arcane museum,…read moremetaphysical store, and gift shop all wrapped into one! The lady working behind the counter was very friendly when we walked in and suggested that we start upstairs and work our way down. Upstairs has an old arcade game, the Adams family reunion playing on a TV, a book alcove, and altar, a bunch of fascinating arcane things behind glass, and incense burning. It gave off warm, mystical vibes. I worked at two metaphysical stores as a teenager, and over twenty years later, they still make me feel at home. Even though to space is small, I recommend you plan to spend a good amount of time walking through to see everything. We were there for probably an hour, and I don't think we saw everything. The only difficult part is finding this place. It's among a bunch of townhomes. So, if you park by the chiropractors, which is a little bit further down, and you walk back towards the driveway, or the pinned address on a map, you will pass a building on your right, and then it's the second building on your right. But the entrance is on the street side, not the driveway side, so it's easy to miss. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Passing by, the statue outside caught my eye and I just managed to catch the name of the place. Tucked away in the middle of some condos, we found a parking space for guests. Walked around the corner and found the entrance and we were immediately greeted. I can't remember the owner's name but she was very nice and gave us a brief overview of her place. The entranceway is small but there are plenty of things to browse from pins, stickers, and other goodies. Once we looked around we headed upstairs and where we found many curiosities! Palmistry, incense, spell books, taxidermy... it's all here. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at everything and didn't leave without purchasing a few things for ourselves. Be careful and don't wish on the monkey's paw!

This just opened up in our neighborhood when covid hit and I've been dying to check it out. I found…read morea post for a free 10 min session to see what it was all about. I almost chickened out and cancelled but so glad I didn't. Katie the owner was amazing! She greeted me and showed me what they had to offer. I was distracted by all the crystals and bracelets so I stopped there first. I loved all the descriptions of each crystal or stone and ended up buying like 10 or 12 of them. She suggested I photograph each one with the specific card so I could reference later rather than having a bunch of what would become more trash in my house. So to the good stuff, she walked me into a room with a chair asked me to sit down then reclined me until I moaned, seriously I totally did... awkward. Haha. She then set me up with some headphones, a blanket and a weighted eye cover. I was legit in heaven! So the music starts and the chair vibrates with the sound and it put me in like an outer body trance. I'm not really into all this natural healing stuff so I didn't know what to expect but I didn't feel weird, I felt 100% relaxed and sort of like jello. The compacting pain in my neck was gone and I didn't want to leave. They offer many other things like (I think she called them) acupressure patches and she has a really fancy table that resets your nervous system or something. I'm probably not the best person to be writing her first review but you should really check it out. I had never heard of anything like this and I'm totally booking a recurring appointment from now on. I loved how clean it was, loved the decor but mostly how nice the owner was and how I could feel her passion for what she does when she would talk to me.

I made an appointment on Katie's website, the owner and sound therapist there. Super simple! Wonderful experience. Thank you, Katie! They have lots of goodies in the shop that I had to limit myself to, haha! And I am planning to book a longer session with Katie soon, because I need more of whatever just happened. I am happy to know that they have a few other therapeutic offerings here too for when I need it! Being in North Austin and beyond is hard for finding this kind of unique vibratory and spiritual care. Excited to return! I heard they may host meditations soon too, which I just love and need always. Thanks again y'all!
