It's a safe hang-out space and we are very happy they offer this. He had so much fun talking about the different activities such as ping pong, tag, basketball, and cards. It is also nice for him to unplug from video games. They also offer a drive-thru prayer on Wednesday and host holiday events such as the annual Christmas party for kids. In the front entrance they have a coffee shop which serves fresh coffee and warm cookies that can be taken into the service. Sara is a great pastor and helps to encourage us in our journey. There is bible study before church on Sunday that starts at 9:15am, church service starts just after 10am. The fall festival and auction is top notch and the Trash to Treasure in the gymnasium is unbelievable. All year long, they collect goods and at Trash to Treasure, you can buy anything you have ever wanted for much less than even Goodwill. The church holds financial sessions, marital sessions, has an in house counselor, and a fine staff. I am partial to this place because it is where I got married. The process is long but it was so worth it. Their musical coordinator actually sang Ava Maria. It was very nice. I love OLPH. They have a school for kids and a waiting list for daycare that you should get on now if you are even planning on having children.

An ordinary Sunday congregation is more like 80 to 100 parishioners. They have two services on Sunday, one at 8:45am and the other at 11am. Christian Education is from 10am to 10:45am. The Vicar, Rev. Ripp Hardaway, is both scholarly and folksy, both challenging and easygoing. We love his approach to explaining Christ's love and how we are called to share it with others. Don't know how many Aggie Episcopalians there are, he might be one of a kind. The Episcopal Church is a treasure, the theology being based on a balance of "scripture, tradition and reason". This permits a wide range of discussion and interpretations of the meaning of scripture. Nobody here walks around acting like he/she has all the answers. But Jesus is at the center of it all, without doubt. We found the members of this church to be warm, welcoming and accepting, and focused on Christ's message of serving others. After checking out a number of churches in town, we happily joined.

The congregation member always come to greet him warmly, and say they are happy to see me, and "welcome back". I live about 15 miles away so I don't come regularly. Thru the years, I have seen it during slow times and now am happy to say that it is thriving. With young families and newcomers of all ages. The music is always special as well, I love the cozy interior of the mid century style structure that was built in 1965 ( I believe) I appreciate its history and that the congregation chose to preserve the original building. They are growing and need more space, so there is a campaign, but they don't push it on you, which I appreciate. The sermons are always relevant. Ripp Hardaway is wonderful. He is intelligent and down to earth, serious when needed and joyful when appropriate. I always get something from his sermons. So does my Dad. We often discuss what we learned in church.
