This is quite a large Premier Inn, with lots of parking. It's situated beside a busy road junction, but the rooms were quiet enough and up to the usual high standard of Premier Inn. We ate in the restaurant as there is nothing else of note in the immediate area, and were very happy with the food. They do a dinner/breakfast deal for £23.99, and as the breakfast is all-you-can-eat, this was a pretty good deal. Free Wi-fi in the bar and reception areas too.

Many hotels use quilts and they are not adjustable which means that in hot weather you cannot reduce the thickness of the cover. The shower room was excellent. Staff service was fine. The hotel is very conveniently located next to Rugby station and there is a Tesco convenience store in the same building so if you only want a pastry for breakfast that is possible. Breakfast in the hotel is reasonable for the price but not great. Sausages, scrambled egg, beans and bacon, toast cut fruit, cereals and pastries. The sausages tasted cheap but generally it was acceptable. Overall this hotel was very good value for money and a clean comfortable place to stay.

We were also able to order sandwiches late at night due to the nice guy at the front desk. However, the rest of the staff was not as friendly. When we went to the front desk the next night to ask for information on pizza places in the area, the woman behind the front desk told us she did not have one. When we requested the number for Domino's, she said she could only give us the number but no menu. She made it very obvious by rolling her eyes and sighing that she was put out by our simple request for a phone number. We were also booted out of the lobby area for eating fish and chips, after we had asked 2 different staff members if it was okay to eat our food in the area. There is free Wi-Fi, but it is very slow. Due to the bad attitude of some of the staff and the out of the way location to anything else in the area, I do not think we will stay there on our next visit.

While the accommodation can sometimes be a little on the small side, the rooms are clean and quite well appointed. The restaurant is very good, with a high standard. The staff were attentive and polite and we found the restaurant manager to be particularly attentive to our needs. In contrast, the hotel staff can be a little hit-and-miss, although never rude. Breakfast at weekends is a rather chaotic affair, with seating arrangements particularly difficult. Food ran out quite quickly and wasn't replaced fast enough, so a lot of time was spent queuing. Toast and coffee were not coordinated with the food and often arrived after the breakfast meal had been consumed. Dinner (3 courses with wine) is about £45-£50 pp, depending on your choices, but it is of a high standard. The room-rate ranges upward from about £100 per night. The hotel offers a pool and fitness facilities and, of course, there is ample scope to go walking around the beatiful countryside. A great place for a relaxing, quiet weekend with good food.

It's a bit of a long walk but also a nice one if the weather is good for a traveler who wants to see the town and University en route to the hostel. I attended a great meeting there in April - the internet throughout the College Court had strong signals, and the meals were quite nice. We all felt a bit spoilt having table service arranged by the organizers for lunch and dinner - it gave us that much more time to talk with each other. I would gladly come back to the College Court. The only thing to keep in mind is that it's a bit of a trek to the better food in Leicester when one wants to eat out.
