Nestled on top of Blaenavon mountain within walking distance of the Big Pit and the World Heritage site that is Blaenavon Town this small pub in its own grounds could do much more! The decor and exterior upkeep is untidy and dated and what seems at first like a cosy atmosphere can become cliquey and make outsiders feel a little unwelcome. The landlord is also the head chef and waiter and has an unusual tone that can be considered friendly or rude depending on your interpretation! The food is all fresh and tasty, but a little overpriced for the surroundings and the presentation (matching plates anyone?) leaves a lot to be desired.
