At first I was a little skeptical because of the price. It turned out to be a great experience. I will definitely return!

When I got up to the counter I instructed her on how I wanted my shirts and she rung me up. I learned really quickly that you have to pay in advance which is not a problem for me, but seemed strange. I also discovered this place only accepts cash!!!??? In this day and age who doesn't take credit or debit cards?? I didn't have cash so the manager intervened and said she would go ahead and process my shirts as long as I came back with payment. I rushed out to the nearest atm and got the cash returned and paid in full. My shirts were ready the same day at about 5:30 and looked great! I was really please with the results so it kind of washed out the fact they only accepted cash. I will probably use them again, but they should look into catching up with the times and get a card machine as about 99% of the population uses credit or debit cards for purchases.

This lady started yelling and saying if she did not tag the items then she's not responsible. This lady lack any form of comprehension skills and it's a shame she is acting the role of a manager. If I could give it zero stars I would. I would not recommend this dry cleaner to anyone.

My wife and I received a goose-down comforter from Macy's for our wedding from our employer last…read moreyear. It was over a 1,000 dollar comforter. Key word is WAS... So we decided since it had been a year, we would get it cleaned. Little did we know that Porter's would ruin the most expensive gift that we received and on top of it all, charge us 85 dollars to ruin it. The comforter was dropped off at the Mansfield Rd location. When I received the text to get it, we rushed up there because we missed our comforter. We pick it up and drive back home. We get it out of the package and unfold it. All the feathers are on the bottom half and the top half is flat. First thing to tick me off. Somebody had to handle it to fold it and you don't have the guts to tell us that it went in even and fluffy and comes out looking the way it did. You just charge us 85 dollars, take our money and let us walk away with it thinking that everything is fine. So we get back in the car and drive back up. The lady at Mandsfield Rd (really nice and apologetic...maybe Linda Crawford at Porter's could take a lesson from her, but more on that in a minute) said she would tag it for a re-do. 5 days later, text comes through that it is ready. It's Friday afternoon and we are close, so we swing by. We also check it this time and the nice lady tells us there is a note. She reads it. I really wish now I had gotten a picture of the note. It basically stated that the feathers went to the bottom but could not go back to the top because the squares were sewn down. Now I am not a rocket scientist, but I can tell you this, if the damn squares were sewn down how in the hell did they make it to the bottom? I guess wet feathers only travel one way. The note also said that it was not goose-down but it was micro-fiber. The pictures in the comments I am going to put proves that is a lie. At this point we are devastated and read that sometimes you can put the comforter in a dryer with tennis balls and it will balance itself out. So we drive straight to a laundry mat and try this. It did not work. So we wait through the weekend. Monday morning my wife calls the home office on Benton Rd and talks to Linda Crawford. She explains to Linda everything I just typed out. Linda's response..."That sucks". THAT SUCKS??? REALLY??? It more than sucks. So Linda tells my wife that she would talk to someone and get back to her in the afternoon. My wife calls back late in the afternoon and Linda is nowhere to be found evidently. She leaves a message for Linda to call back. I then pick up the phone and call 318-742-1097. This number gives you a directory. I type in MAR for Mark Porter. He does not answer. I leave a message for him to call me because nobody seems to be able to call my wife back. We wait until late Tuesday morning and my wife calls and gets a hold of Linda. I still have never heard back from Mark Porter BTW. Linda tells her to call the plant manager. She then calls Russell Hall at 318-638-4228. Russell then proceeds to give her some of the same BS that was left on the note and adds that if they don't feel comfortable cleaning something, then they will not...So I guess if you are trying to cover your back side, then what you are telling my wife is that in 30+ years of business, we brought Porter's the very first goose-down comforter to be dry cleaned??? He also is a comforter guru, because he states that it was a manufacturer defect. How he came to that conclusion, I have no idea. Bottom line from Russell is that I signed a release giving them the right to screw the comforter up and then charge us 85 dollars and hand it over like there is nothing wrong with it. We are still in shock. I will post this to every review board for everyone to see how piss poor this was handled from beginning to end by everyone at Porter's (except for the nice lady at Mansfield Rd. See pics in comments for proof of how horrible Porter's is. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING YOU OWN. My wife will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I would rather pay for my employees dry cleaning if they will go else where. Seriously over $5 to starch a shirt and $35 to dry clean a suit. Porters has lost their damn mind. Most people this day and time don't wear $2K suits they wear what is affordable and when it cost 1/4 of the price of the suit to clean it that is ridiculous. I will go across the street and set up an account for my employees to use so they don't get raped by Porter's anymore. The sad thing is I dropped off three suits last week and picked them up and Monday took them out of the bags and realized the spots were still there and paid around $100 to have them cleaned. Also now they wanna charge for same day service a 30% up charge shit they are already the most expensive in town and they are NO better than anyone else in town. I guess they are wanting to end their business by 2026. Greedy Ass Owners is the best way to explain Porter's!
