Today I came to the ramen bar. The food was really good. The chicken rice bowl was great the chicken curry was amazing as well. The service was great. Our server was very nice she was coming to check on us very often. The restaurant was very clean also, they were playing good music.

This small shop on the edge of the Foothills Mall development site serves authentic, steamy bowls of Ramen. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen with cha-su pork. Quick and friendly service. They will serve the chili on the side so you can adjust the spice to your taste

Newish ramen spot on the North side. It's sort of a small place with limited seating. They only have about 5 or 6 tables but they offer a solid menu of appetizers, ramen, and rice bowls. You order and pay at a kiosk when you walk in and the staff will drop off your food to your table. I tried the chicken rice bowl, which was pretty tasty, and also got an order of karaage (fried chicken) which was decent. Despite the limited space, it's a great option, especially since there aren't many ramen spots on this side of town.

Simple menu and quick service. Our crew tried a little variation of each ramen and liked the miso base but the pork the best. Our food came out fast and the location was clean with friendly counter service.

Fast service. Lot a lot of dining space (4 tables) but given the quick service, tables turn quickly. Plus I noticed a few to go orders. I had the karage and the Tonkatsu ramen. The noodles appeared fresh and the protein was flavored well. However I found the broth somewhat bland. They do offer soy or chili oil to spice it up... but typically I don't need that when the broth is flavored well. The karage batter was good but the pieces of chicken were clumpy with batter... but over all tasty. Presentation was good. Large portions. Parking can be difficult depending on the time of the day given you share the parking lot with several other food places.

Lunch for 2 yesterday. They have a nice selection of ramen flavors, and you can pick out a number of (extra cost) add-ins for additional flavor. Our ramen arrived reasonably quickly, and the portion was quite generous. Flavors were excellent. The interior is a bit spartan and there are only 5-6 tables, so they seem to be focusing on carry-out. I enjoyed my meal but I did think it was a bit overpriced. two ramens and two fountain drinks was about $40 which seems a bit much for lunch. Several people around us ordered the rice bowls, and they looked really good. Going to have to stop back and check them out.

Tried this spot for the first time this week and I'm already planning my next visit! We started with the chicken bowl with rice perfect portion size and the chicken was super flavorful. I'm a HUGE ramen person (loyal to Raijin Ramen), but I decided to branch out and try the tokanatsu Ramen You can choose from pork, chicken, or beef I went with the grilled chicken (10/10), and the broth is pork-based: super rich and flavorful, but not spicy. If you like it spicy (like I do), just add the chili oil! You can order it at the counter or on the kiosk I used the kiosk and added two chili oils, which gave me about a 6/10 spice level. Want more kick? Just add more oil! We also had the chicken karaage crispy, juicy, and even better with the dipping sauce. The vibe inside is cute and simple, ordering was super easy, and service was fast. This is officially my new ramen go to in Tucson!

Friend and I went here today for lunch. I had the address and was able to park nearby, but it was tough to find it. There is only one door and nothing on it with the name. I walked past it twice look for it. Finally opened a door with nothing on it, and there it was. I ordered the Gyoza and Tonkotso Chicken Ramen with extra egg. I did enjoy it. My friend ordered a Poke bowl. They forgot to put the sushi egg, we didn't know what it was. Also, they did not follow the instructions to put sauce on the side. I think they were training a new guy. By far the worse part was the ordering. I walked up to the counter and there was no help. There were some papers to mark for the poke bowls. They had an overhead picture to order the Ramen, but nothing about making it different than the standard presentation. The lady at the register did not help and walked off after helping the couple if front of me. I finally went to the kiosk and placed my order, it was busy when I walked in. That was straight forward. Overall I think they need to rethink their marketing, i.e. signage on door, signage over register, etc.

What a fun place! You order your food from the kiosk when walk in. Any questions, the staff is available to help out or answer. The place is fresh and bright looking without tables being too close to each other. Everything came out separately but there wasn't a huge time gap. We ordered a salmon poke bowl with all sorts or fixings. The only downside was that the salmon tasted a bit fishy which make me wonder about the freshness of it. The chicken curry was also excellent. Good flavor and spice. Finally we had a build your own ramen bowl with a shoyu base and chicken. The serving is large enough to share. Overall, I would definitely come back to sample more items from the menu.

This is a newly opened Ramen place, located at the Foothills Mall. Got curious, and need to check out what they have to offer. Aside from ramen they offer poke and bowls. But very limited choice to choose from. Poke is okay, but not a very big serving. They need to put more greens into it. I had the Pork Katsu, I like the curry, but pork is a little tough. Next time, I will give their ramen a shot. They have some appetizers as well. Place is tiny. Probably 5-6 tables.

This's a new Ramen Bar that located at closer to Theatre center area. Ramen tasted delicious enough with a central cooking broth from the kitchen. But given less broth and the ramen noodles texture didn't taste Al Dente enough and it seem tougher ... Since it's a soft opening, hope they know how to improve the quality of foods. Other than that, tasty enough and fast servicing with counter!!

Recently ordered take out from The Ramen Bar. The online ordering process was easy, the descriptions of the items were helpful and I liked that it texted you an estimated time the food would be ready. We ordered a Tonkotsu chicken ramen, Shoyu beef ramen and the shrimp tempura appetizer. The beef was a $3 up charge. The to go containers kept the broth and ingredients separate which was a nice touch. All of the food was delicious, I just wish you could order a larger size for the ramen. The sauce for the shrimp was tasty! My husband picked up the order and the employee was very cold and unwelcoming which was a bummer to hear. I still plan to dine in and try more items from this new spot!

This spot is new in the north side & very small seating. Really loved the "bar" seating where you can have views to the kitchen. Service was fast and very friendly. The pricing isn't bad at all, for large portion sizes. I personally am a HUGE Rajin ramen fan but this spot gives them a run for their money. Wish the broth was more spicy. I added two sides of chili oil and pretty much added zero heat. The chasu pork was insanely delicious. Love the straight noodles, tasted very similar to raijin. I would come back again for a quick casual ramen fix.

The red miso definitely satisfied my spicy tastes if you are the type of person who can eat a bag of hot Cheetos without blinking you'll be fine but if you're sensitive to spice you might want to skip that option. On the menu they do have chili peppers next to the items to indicate the spice level. The portions are BIG and definitely worth it. Here's the thing, I came in expecting the usual Chinese food affair, but I left genuinely surprised and impressed. This restaurants specializes in Southern Chinese food, which is different from other regions. I am so happy this restaurant and its chains helps the cuisine gain exposure and adds depth to Chinese food in general. Even better, the menu is laid out in a way that it is easy to understand: gluten-free options, allergies, and spice level. The service was great. All though it isn't a "full" sit-down restaurant, everybody there seemed to know the menu well and was happy to be there. As a Cantonese person, it was nice hearing my language being spoken in the kitchen. The restaurant itself was immaculately clean and very modern. Overall, if you've never had Southern Chinese food or are looking for something more authentic than classic Chinese takeaway, definitely check out this location. Not anymore! I can happily say that my meals have been consistently good. They've updated their menu many times since my last review - this is for the better. While they still have some of their classics like their ramen (the vegan ramen is actually delicious and with umami flavor), they've added other fun things like the braised short rib donburi. (Which they recently had a special where the donburi was made with udon noodles instead of rice - please make this a permanent menu item!!) I love their yuzu yellowtail sashimi dish. To be honest, I would argue Obon has some of the best sushi in Tucson. Their cocktails have also gotten much better. Before, I felt like many of them were pretty strange creations. Now, their drinks are still unique but thoughtfully made - not full of sugars, candy, etc. I look forward to having a cocktail at Obon now. The interior/exterior of the restaurant has not changed; I do not mind this. The ambiance has always felt right. If there was one minor thing I'd change, it would be so that when you sit at the sushi bar, you could actually see the sushi being made (it's hard to explain the seating at the bar but basically the view of the sushi chefs at work is sorta blocked by the unused sushi itself). But this is incredibly minor and not at all an issue causing a lesser rating. As you can see, I have come to really love Obon. I come here semi-regularly, both on dates and with friends, so I felt it was only just to update my previous critiques. If it's been a while since you last tried Obon, definitely give it another go. We then ordered two pork Bao Buns, two sushi rolls, the Shiro Maki and the Tataki Maki. Both really good, really well rolled, not an abundance of rice either. I am obsessed with Ramen, I decided to order the house Ramen, the Obon, without the Bonito flakes because I'm not a fan. Looked good when it came, I just wasn't happy with it. It lacked something, umami, a well developed broth, who knows, I just know it wasn't what I normally like. It gave me heartburn from hell too. Overall, $150 later I left somewhat dissatisfied and disappointed. For a Sunday, at noon, four tables worth of patrons. Not loud, not super quiet, nice ambiance. I doubt that I'll go back, if we do, it will be for their $22 rolls of sushi.

Soft, buttery bun, mayo, tangy pickles, and perfectly-breaded-and-fried chicken that wasn't undercooked, dry, or soggy and it was surprisingly juicy for such a big piece of chicken. The spice was fairly tame, it adds a kick but doesn't overpower or leave your mouth on fire--which I'm okay with. The spice seemed more cayenne/paprika based though I couldn't pinpoint the seasonings. If you're a spice-head I'd suggest adding buffalo or honey sriracha sauce. I didn't see the restaurant itself yet, but after this experience, visiting is officially on the to-do. We started with the takoyaki balls, which were an absolute standout. I'm not an expert on how they're made, but I did notice pieces of octopus inside, and wow so good. The sauce on top is an explosion of flavor: rich, savory, slightly sweet, and totally addictive. I could eat these every time and never get bored. Next, we built our own Tachi burrito bowl and this is where Taichi really shines. The customization options are next-level. You can choose white rice, brown rice, no rice, and even a greens base. Then you get three proteins yes, three. The variety alone deserves applause. And then... the sauces. This is where you can really get creative. Spicy mayo, poke sauce, chili hot sauce, eel sauce, mango sauce, ponzu, Thai sweet chili, Thousand Island, wasabi the list goes on. We went with spicy tuna, salmon, and spicy salmon, and let me tell you fresh, flavorful, perfectly balanced. Every bite worked.
