It's a decent way to get rid of some designer items. They list your items for you and will send you a check as soon as it sells. However, they intentionally price items much lower than their value and also keep a larger comission with the intent of selling the items in 30 days. They are so picky in what they take that it's just not often worth it to bring in items. The waits are long and I do have issues with trusting them since they insist on leaving items over night (for several days at a time). They would often not take things in nearly new/mint condition. Let me say that I have not been to the actual store. A representative came to my home, loaded the app onto my phone and explained the process. She was very pleasant, took my items and within a few days they were listed on the website for consignment. She told me that everything sells. If you want an item returned to you, there is a charge. I like the rating system: Pristine, Excellent, Very Good, Fair, As Is. Now, I receive a text every month or so from Heather asking if I want the van sent to my house to pick up my items. Very convenient! I've bought from the RealReal online but have found their items to be overpriced. I searched through all the clothes found a few items tried them on, wasn't lucky enough to find something that looked "great" So .. I didn't leave happy...most of the clothes were for very small figures. I noticed some nice scarves & some really nice bags, however very expensive, beautiful but yes very expensive. As far as service goes , there were two girls at the front counter. The Caucasian ignored me & the Spanish girl said she would be with me soon, but went on to someone else in fact the two woman were catering to one person & sent a guy over to me. He came from the downstairs unit (basement) . He helped. HE Was very kind. Asked me if I needed anything else several times. The store is nicely decorated although It's a very small store. I would give ZERO stars if it's possible. Pickup driver forged my signatures without asking me to sign. I consigned some used clothes that have been worn for some time and washed by machine several times. I wasn't sure if they accept fair condition clothes, so I confirmed with their so-called luxury manager . She said it would be shipped back if they don't accept it. BUT, They identified some of my items as counterfeit (I am still questioning their authentication process) and destroyed my items rather than return. It's ridiculous that they also destroyed some of inferior quality clothes without return them! Do consign with this trash company. You will get nothing back and lose your items! read more

When I went in a few months ago, for shopping, I was given looks by the workers and I didn't appreciate that whatsoever!! Also, when I was looking for thrift stores, the realreal came up and was shown as mid priced when however it's the opposite. So don't let that fool you, I understood there were second handed designer items there but the prices were insane.
