We came to Jamie Tate from the Pocono Northeast area of Pennsylvania because of his reputation for excellence. Jamie and his staff have been professional, patient and kind beyond what we expected. His technical knowledge is exceptional and the studio itself is amazing. It is a stand alone structure built like a sound proof bunker-not a renovated building originally designed for another purpose. Joe Nino Hernes, the studio manager, has been very forthcoming about expenses and what was needed before the recording session, and has been very communicative about what to expect post project. Lexi Lew, along with being a fantastic performer herself, has been a great source of support during this process as well. We were really lucky to learn about The Rukkus Room. I am, at the moment, fresh into the Audio Engineering class. The Audio really is Engineering quite well so far, and Sam Falle is the goofiest goober of a teacher. In the best way. Diamond Sound rehearsal studios is a one of a kind facility in Nashville. They have approximately…read more35 private rehearsal rooms, that can be rented on a monthly basis. The rooms vary in size and rental rate, but every room is designed nicely and very well maintained. And then they also have a large showcase room where you can have dress rehearsals, and the going rate now is $50/ 4 hours. This rehearsal complex is for serious musicians. It's a place for people who want a very nice place to rehearse, and have a community of musicians that all are doing the same thing all around you. It's nice to hang in the halls and meet up with all the bands/musicians you see on the marquee's around town. It's definitely not Soundcheck, and it's not SIR, but if you wanted to pay out the nose for rehearsal space by the hour, you can always go to one of those places. Diamond Sound fits everyone's budget, and it is very private and secure. All rehearsal rooms have 24 hour access, and daytime hours are very quiet. So if you are a singer songwriter, or need a place for writing this is great in the daytime. In the evenings there are definitely loud rock bands playing, so if you are a full volume band, you won't be bothered by the noise, but if you are not a full band, you will be able to hear some bleed noise from other rooms. It is pretty minimal though. Just trying to give you the full scoop. Overall it's a great place to rehearse and my band has been renting from them for over a year, and we've have been totally happy. Everybody was VERY helpful and seemed to go above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. Prices were reasonable, for the most part. The cost to rent the lighting package was a bit steep. I mean I can see if they had to set it up special for us, but in this case all they needed to do was turn the power on and show us the buttons for preset. It is refreshing to have a studio where learning how to dance is emphasized as opposed to just…read morelearning a dance over and over to compete. Every child's progress and development is fostered. Your dancer will be inspired to do his/her personal best. All of the classes are considered important for any level a child is dancing at, and all dancers, whether on the company or not, receive the same training. We had noticed before that if you are in "recital classes" at many places that you learn very little and can only achieve significant training if you are on their company. Ballet and technique are emphasized. This studio has drop in classes as well. My daughter has progressed significantly in the past year, and she is doing things she would not have had the opportunity to do before. My son also takes some classes here to compliment his athletic endeavors and lay the foundation for dance for whatever he may choose to do in the future. Hard work, discipline and amazing teachers have made both of them more successful. Whether you are on the company or not, all are invited to attend the conventions in which we participate. The company does participate in competitions in order to have the opportunity to perform, but they are not mandatory. They also will work with individuals to clean up dances they may be doing elsewhere or to enhance their training. I am thankful that this studio opened and that we had the opportunity to be here.
