The only reason I came here was I was following Doctor Robinson, who was a wonderful therapist and passed away. I stayed because they asked me to anyway, what a nightmare. I got Dr. Marcus who used to work at Carney Hospital. Allegedly he was let go from that place due to something I won't say, but it makes sense why all my prescriptions were confused and called in wrong each and every time. What I'd have to do is go in person because nobody backed him up and put somebody in place to help his patients. I went 2 full days without my medication, and for those who know, our medication needs to be taken, or we could end up in the hospital! Needless to say, it was all my fault not theirs. They accuse me of taking too many? Really? I don't take too many and I did have a reason that's why they were maybe gone, but nobody of her sat down with me and talk to me about my life or what was going on... I would've let them know why but talk to Marcus never knew me... He didn't know where I worked, he didn't know my name, he could care less he was in order taker, and we are the ones who get screwed in the end because we look like junkies if you go to this place you've been warned.

You should not bring your children here for any psychiatric care. To start off with it took two…read moremonths after filling out online intake forms to have my child assigned to someone. I called multiple times and emailed and never got a response. Finally my daughter was pared with someone and she would cancel often and frequently sometimes same day. She was very unprofessional. Then her schedule was changing and it was not going to work with her school schedule so we were reassigned. I was assured weekly virtual appointments. All I knew is that she was nice. A few weeks later we did an intake appointment. She could only do biweekly and at the end of the intake she told us she was going on maternity leave in two months. Why was I not informed that my child was being set up with someone who could only meet with her four to five times and then go out? We were told there would be someone to meet with during the leave or we could go somewhere else. I chose a temporary clinician. A month and a half later we were told there were no providers that had space for adolescents. So we decided to wait. She went on leave Dec. 2025. In March my daughter had some very concerning behaviors. So I contacted Dana and they said end of March beginning of April. I asked them if they were sure because my daughter really needed to see someone. The person on the phone laughed at me, called me honey and said that is the information they had. I tried calling later and asked to speak to the manager, they said they would send an email and I would get a call back. I never did. I called back and got someone else and they said that therapist would not be back till June. I asked to speak to the manager and once again was assured an email would be sent and I would get a call back. In the interim I found someone else for my child. But I was upset on how the reassignment was handled and how the people who answer the phone behave. None of them identify themselves by name. They are very inappropriate especially speaking about your concerns regarding your child. I was not taken seriously. It took two weeks, multiple phone calls, emails, portal messages to finally get to speak to the manger. She of course apologized but also use the excuse of being short staffed. Then they should not be caring for kids. This company gaslights and hides behind a smoke screen of bs. They do not care about anything except making money off of you and your suffering. It is a disgrace to medicine.

When I first entered Briarwood I thought that this is probably as good as it gets ,but I still hate…read morenursing homes .First the pros ,Briarwood has great personal ,the staff keep up religiously with your meds ,and vitals. The daily cleaning starts early ,like 6am,there are sprinkler systems ,good programs ,pleasant dining ,family room and library. The staff is always pleasant smiling greeting you ,helping you with wheelchairs. They have a terrific rehab gym and staff. The cons, the food while acceptable is mostly boring. When trays were delivered to me in my room ,the food was always cold ,all 3 meals. In the diningroom ,ice cold poached eggs were the norm and never were soft boiled. There were always 2 choices for lunch & dinner but heavily weighted with chicken, always decent desert ,but as I said the food was boring and cold .Having come from MGH where the food was always hot and decently cooked. On weekends some of the staff were surly and it could take on occasion an hour to summon a care person. The foors are slippery especially when they are washed daily early in the morning.I cannot understand why they would wash the bathroom floors in the mornings when most people just getting up would use them with walkers or wheelchairs ,a real hazard .On top of having a round commode on an elongated toilet ,meaning you had to stand up to clean yourself and with slippy floors found my feet slipping and almost fell down.Having the flusher and paper on the left meant you had to stand instead of sitting in a wheelchair, while having them on the right side you could reach from your wheelchair ,a very dangerous situation which I pointed out to the staff. In the next room was a patient who would rant and scream daily in the middle of the night, many people, some stroke victims trying to rehab, lost valuable sleep affecting their rehab because they and I where too tired from lack of sleep and couldn't function .This went on for the 40 days I was there ,the whole floor suffered and the facilty tolerated it,that was totally unacceptable .Most rooms were mostly double but 4 people shared a bathroom. My roommate got discharged and I got a very sick person who yelped and moaned all night ,frequently tried to get out of bed setting off bells I could not sleep.I got myself transferred but I was so weakened that I fell. The TV'S where very difficult to change channels ,no remotes you would have to press and press and it would take many tries to change channels,no remotes hereThe bottom line, this nursing home by tolerating disruptive behavior caused me and many others great harm. When this mans family came to visit all 6 would pile into the room effectively keeping me from entering my room. There should be limits ,and that is why I only gave them 3 stars.I am quite bitter and by the way my disruptive room mate wound up with a private room ,while I was scrunched into a small corner of another room .

Her room was so cramped that in order to make it possible for her to sit in a chair we had to move all of the furniture. As a result she was always in bed if we weren't there to set everything up. The communication was non-existent. We had a meeting with her care team and no one in the meeting had actually worked with her. The food was not good with no choice and she either had to eat in her bed or in the hallway. Although the nurses and aides were pleasant they seemed very overworked. Stay away from this rehab!

I recently had someone I know well here and was able to see the process up close. I was impressed my the responsiveness of everyone on the team, as well as the kind compassion displayed. Amanda, the Director, responded on weekend and evening hours when needed, and could not have been more accommodating. The technology/ process used at Coleman is very effective at helping someone launch positively into their recovery, even starting the patient on vivatrol before they go home the last day or detox. I highly recommend this center.

I was reluctant to try detox because I'd heard so my horror stories. The Aware team suggested Coleman and it was a FANTASTIC experience. The staff was very professional and caring. I felt like I was the only patient there. It was an easy 3 day outpatient program and follow-up continues for 6 months. I'm still working with Aware and finding it pretty easy to stay sober. I hope that the Aware/Coleman model becomes widespread. It's far more effective than the traditional detox/30 day in-patient system.

My fears were all completely misplaced by Charles River Counseling. Jen, the receptionist, is super sweet and upbeat. She is always willing to help and go the extra mile to help clients feel comfortable. I really think that how you are treated by the office staff makes a huge difference in how an office is viewed. Pamela Bourque, the therapist that I chose, is a great listener, and offers a different perspective on issues that are extremely helpful. She is open-minded to alternative lifestyles, and really seems to hear me and want to support me to help me work through my (rather complex) issues. They also offer Doctors to help with psych meds management services, which is also a big bonus for me. Overall, I am really pleased that I have found Charles River Counseling Center.
