My son been attending Red Apple Preschool for two years, these years been fulfilled nothing but positive experiences for my son and for us as parents. Now he is starting the Kindergarten, he is completely ready and even way ahead of school requirements. Here what I would want to know when choosing this school: 1. Caring and knowledgeable staff who been there way before we start attending. That was extremely important for me for school to have a stable environment with teachers who are not "job hopping" as we see a lot nowadays. My son loves all his teachers regardless of what age group they are with. 2. Communication. It is so easy to communicate with principals (I might get their job titles wrong). Amir and Maryam always staying on top of everything: always sending reminders, calendars, always address their thoughts regarding important issues. 3. This is not just a play oriented school. Not at all. They make sure that every day your little one will be coming home knowing something new. By the end of these two years, my son absolutely ready for Kinder. He even learned how to read site words along with much more. 4. Safety. The school located in a safe area. We had no issues ever. They also have locked gate at all times and camera facing the entrance so they know who is coming. 5. Activities. Every summer they organize weekly field trips to all kind of places. Some are walking trips (ex: fire station or Yogurtland) and some are driving trips (ex: park). My kid always looking forward to go on an adventure and getting so excited. 6. Lunches. You will need to prep lunches for your little one Monday through Thursday. Friday is a pizza day. At the beginning I thought it will be difficult for me to prep lunch every day, but you get a hang of it. The good part of it that you know what your kids is eating and that it's balanced nice meal. 7. Cost. I've been looking for a school having a budget, bc now some schools cost as much as some people make a month and it's insane. Our tuition was lower than most schools around. I won't put a price here just because it might change by the time someone will read this. But trust me, it's a good affordable cost. As a conclusion, absolutely recommend this school. My daughter attended red apple for exactly 3 years (2-5years old) and loved it there. she just left for kinder a couple of weeks ago and still talks about red apple. my daughter fell in love with the school pretty quickly and was always so happy to go to school. she made great friends there and her social skills blossomed. to be honest, i was a bit worried that they didn't focus on academic skills enough, but now that she's in kinder, i'm already getting feedback that she's got some solid, advanced skills. What we (she) loved about red apple were the teachers - especially ms. ashley. the teachers just seemed to really enjoy children, which is the most important thing for us. we liked the variety of activities the school had, including lots of crafts, circle time, outside play, field trips, water play (summer), themed weeks, etc. Some other things that red apple did that were a nice attention to detail: they made sure to encourage my daughter to eat the meal portion of her lunch before the snacks, they would heat up her lunch if i left a little note asking, they tried to encourage her stop sucking her thumb (it is what it is though haha), they bought snacks just for her because of her peanut allergy. The school was also great with connecting families if they wanted to try to arrange play dates outside of school. so helpful for my social butterfly daughter. Something that would've been helpful would be having the monthly newsletters emailed out (which they started doing more recently) and possibly having an app where parents and staff could communicate or share pictures of the activities they do (class dojo or something similar). UPDATE in response to red apple 'defense' of their abusive actions... I wasn't surprised to see the director being dishonest yet again. As with my initial review, please look at the previous complaints against this school at ccds.ca.gov. use the school code: 304370817 I would also direct you to the full review on Facebook as I had to remove a significant amount due to space on yelp, but no surprise the director block the reviews on FB. So let's start with dishonesty here. Of course it's not surprising that someone that abuses children for years would lie about it. First, we never met with daily. I never said she does as she pleases, ever. One parent allowing a child to stay in the bath 5 minutes longer than the other parent is not vastly different pages. While you claim her actions were documented, you could never actually provide even the most basic details. 75% of our emails with you were requesting a refund not discussing our daughter. Apparently you were not listening to me since you think I was silent, but I listed off all the concerns we had: unexplained injury, sudden fear, sudden agression, suddenly being extra clingy, nightmares, coming home thirsty and hungry. Perhaps you remember getting offended when I mentioned the pediatrician said these were red flags for abuse. Perhaps you were too busy covering up your actions that you totally forgot that you never got up from that tiny table, you never had to call for assistance, you never went inside, and my husband was never aggressive. Seriously, why even make that up. Nor were we asked to leave. We decided that whatever you were doing was absolutely terrorizing our child. If I had read the prior complaints beforehand, I would have known it was absolutely abuse then, not just suspected. I'll continue to caution parents about your horrible actions because you've done this in the past and continue to do so. read more

My daughter has been in Red Apple since summer 2022 and we have loved every second at this preschool. The staff is really amazing and you can see how much they love the kids and how much kids love them back. This gives our family great peace of mind since we know our daughter is safe and loved every day. After much research we found the red apple preschool and placed her there. Our daughter had such a positive experience at the red apple and was so happy to be there. Wow! My son has been going to The Red Apple Preschool for just over a year and he absolutely loves it here. This place is such a wonderful and nurturing place for the kids. They provide them with a safe family style environment with a strong focus on learning. My son has learned his letters, math, science, and art here; I've also seen big improvement on his manners when he's home... he has been more helpful around the house and much kinder to his sister since he started going here. I can't say enough good things about this place. We were relocated due to work and our twins had to change their preschool in the middle of school year and we were so worried there wouldn't be good preschool for them in the area but we were so lucky to have found this school. Amir and Maryam are such dedicated and caring people. They worked around our schedule and so flexible. The teachers and staff were all so great to our boys, they love going to school. Every day they would bring home the art works and so eager to show us what they did and learned at school. This school offered so many different activities and still managed to focused on academic so our boys would be ready by the time they go to kindergarten. They have learned so much. I have nothing but positive things to say about The Red Apple Preschoool. First off, teachers are great and so caring. Maryam and Amir do a wonderful job with running the school and the assistant teachers (Janey, Austin, Marisa) are wonderful with kids. The one thing to me that set this school apart is that the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and loved interacting with the kids. I visited other preschools in the area where the staff looked miserable and annoyed, which obviously set off a red flag. Considering early education has a fairly high turnover rate, these teachers have been here for years which says A LOT! Prices are very reasonable for the area and they offer great flexibility with 3-day and/or half-day programs both morning and in the afternoon. My daughter attended Red Apple for a year in the 2 to 3 year old classes and her speech, knowledge and motor skills improved tremendously. I highly recommend Red Apple for anyone looking for a preschool/daycare facility for their toddler child (2 years is the minimum age, FYI). read more

This preschool has been really AMAZING for my son. The teachers are so caring, knowledgeable, creative, and nurturing. My son started attending this school in January 2015 when he was 2. Before he started, he had a sharing problem and that went away after just 1 week of attending the school. I am still amazed by it. He is also learning so much academically. He recognizes all his alphabets, colors, and numbers now. He constantly talks about how wonderful his teachers and his friends are. He can go on and on about how much fun he is having at school. The school has such a wonderful curriculum and fun projects. This Mother's day, for example, my son made a glittered key chain with his shrunken handprint! Also, when the weather is great, they have "water day" and turns the whole playground to a water park. They also constantly have guests visiting the school, like a dentist, fire fighter, and Easter bunny! I can't possibly list all the positive things from this school. Our son was in the 2-3 year old class and we had a great experience. After our previous home care closed shop, we visited many of the area preschools and enrolled him at one of the larger franchise places, thinking it must be good if they have a wait list... wrong! He came home hungry, wet, and totally dismayed. We quickly took him out and looked for a place with smaller class sizes and more contented teachers. After a trial day at The Red Apple, he was in very good spirits, so we knew we had found the right place. The Red Apple is family-owned and the owners are usually onsite. The layout is open which helps keep a positive energy flowing. Prices are very reasonable for the area, and Ms. Maryam was especially flexible working with us on his schedule as we had a new baby in the family. Above all, Ms. Janey, Mr. Amir, and the other teachers were super caring and loving, which made our fairly needy child feel right at home. We had to move away, but he's transitioning very well to a new bigger school due to his preparation at The Red Apple. To be fair, the biggest cons I noticed were frequent sugary snacks (lots of birthdays), occasional flagging energy (hump day :/), and a somewhat less organized atmosphere than the big corporate places (if you're type A). However, I would hands-down recommend this school to anyone with a 2-5 year old (unfortunately, they don't take littler ones). I found this gem by accident with my two daughters, 4 and 2 years old as we were shopping on El Toro Rd today on my way home. The second we walked into the school, we received a warm welcome at the door by their lead teacher, a former private school teacher with extensive curriculum development and focused on student-centered activities. Both my girls felt comfortable and right at home. Kids have a strong sixth sense and they both loved this place. The owner of the school was approachable, a champion for kids and truly has a passion for preparing children for school. I was surprised that the owner, Maryam has a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently working on her Ph.D in education. As a mom of two girls, I am truly grateful to have stumbled across a dynamic, stimulating and up-to-date school that actually inspires, motivates and educates my two young girls. Their prices are reasonable. Their location is right on the freeway. They don't just babysit. I put the owner, Maryam through dozens of questions, and she was calm, friendly and continuously smiling through our conversation. She had a deep understanding of early childhood cognitive development, diverse learning styles and incorporating multiple intelligences in their daily lesson plans. With the push for STEM, especially for girls, this preschool actually had STEM woven into their core curriculum to awaken and develop creativity and interest in all subjects. Great staff! Affordable! In response to RED APPLE/Ms. Maryam's response to my review: When we came to tour your school and met with Amir, at that time we only required 3 days enrollment, however, we felt it may be good exposure for our son to have him enrolled full time for 5 days. It's my opinion that most kids do well in preschool whether it's 3 days or 5 days time spent at school if the child is enjoying their school, their school friends, and fully engaged in the environment with teachers and adults. I would believe this is especially so if the environment is truly loving, caring and attentive. I do not believe our son's change in behavior and refusing to go to school was due to him getting picked up early from school or by missing some school days. Anthony Sr's new job requires him to work weekends thereby reducing weekend quality time with our son. Despite this, he would still come drop off our son to your school on the days he had off and would pick him up early. Some days he would keep our son home to have an adventure day at Knotts or the Aquarium. Most school administrators, I feel, would be supportive of parents having more quality time spent with their child or children and in fact, encourage that. On the additional days that our son was not at your school, were days when our son felt ill, had a recent fever, or constant runny nose, or cough that prohibited him from being active at school. Those were the only times our son was not able to attend and he was kept home. I would hope most parents would not send their child to school in those conditions to prevent other children from being sick and also to help ensure that their child's time spent in school is a healthy experience. I did not make repeated requests for you to talk to my husband about him pulling my son out of class early and trying to keep him on a consistent "preschool" schedule. In fact, that was your opinion why you believed my son was having a difficult time and started showing signs of being unhappy at drop offs and you mentioned that YOU would be the one to talk to him about that. I explained that I had already shared your thoughts with him and he heard your message, and you continued to say you would speak to him about it. After asking him about it, he said you never pointedly made any such discussion with him. Really? We initially had a great experience when our son expressed wanting to go to Red Apple preschool after a couple weeks, yet this drastically changed after a few months of attendance. It may be possibly due to the numerous changes in his environment that he experienced, but I do not agree and think it is due to him spending more quality time with parents that love him. I just don't think our son felt his needs were being met at your school, which resulted in him not wanting to go. My rating is based on our honest and personal experience. read more

My wife and I have only experienced great things with this school. The school provides a wonderful learning environment for the children by having friendly teachers, a great support system and a clean environment. Our daughter has received the attention that we had expected, as it allowed her to excel further in the areas that she was strong in as well as develop in the areas that's she was weaker in. Mr. Amir has always been very accommodating to answer any of our questions or concerns and has provided the support needed to prepare our child for the next step. The teachers at The Red Apple were so responsive, compassionate, patient, and loving to both of them. The atmosphere of the school is relaxed and very family friendly. Maryam and Amir are so receptive and understanding with schedules, life events, or any challenges - they work extra hard to make sure their school is not just a school for the enrolled students; it's a school for the entire family. Last summer, I asked if I could tag along on their field trips and volunteer to take photos for their Facebook page. I also wanted to see how my son acted amongst his peers and teachers. And what I witnessed was a warm, safe and loving atmosphere. The staff focused a great deal on safety and fairness amongst the children. I was relieved to see my son so happy and thriving in a communal environment. But what I am most grateful for is the extent of how helpful and personable the staff has been for us. There were a few weeks where my son didn't want to go to school and was overall very irritable. We had learned that he was pushing and hitting other kids. So with a great deal of open communication and cooperation between me and the teachers, we found that he was hitting and pushing largely because he was frustrated by the other kids taking toys away from him during play. So me and his teachers helped instill a better way of reacting. I'm happy to say that he now gently tells the other child that he is still playing with his toy OR he simply shares and moves onto a different toy. He also tells us now that those same kids are now his friends (he used to say that he hated them before)! Another thing I'd like to share is a story of a child there who doesn't speak any English. The child was understandably very shy and distant. Some of the teachers, realizing that I speak the same language as the child, asked me how to say a few words in hopes of making the child feel more comfortable. It was lovely to see the child smile and react to the teachers efforts. Now I see the child smiling and interacting like the others. We chose to tour The Red Apple Preschool based on all the positive reviews; not to mention, it was conveniently located near our home. The purpose for us enrolling our daughter was not only for the obvious educational aspects, but for the socialization. Our daughter has learned a lot and The Red Apple Preschool was especially helpful when she was going through the transition of becoming an older sister. The staff are very caring and supportive. Although there have been multiple transitions in regards to the teachers, we reframe it as a teaching opportunity in social communication skills. Change is inevitable. Our child attended The Red Apple Preschool for 4 weeks and it was not a good experience. The live rabbit inside the facility aggravated his allergies. Sugary cupcakes for Birthday celebrations made him very hyper and he would not eat his lunch (BTW parents have to prepare lunches, no lunch service was offered). IPad was given to him as a reward for a good behavior, but parents were not advised that iPad will be used as a reward during the pre-admission tour or afterwards. The teachers were very young and lack life experience. Simple questions regarding the child were not accepted well. Therefore, I would not recommend this daycare to family & friends. read more

My 4 year old son has never been to school before so I was really nervous about leaving him for a couple hours not to mention really picky about finding the right school .After touring The Red Apple I knew the school would be perfect for him. His teachers are fantastic and I feel like they genuinely care about their students. My son loves going to school and as a mother that makes me feel confident and secure hes getting the hands on and individual attention that young curious little people need;) I promise you wont be disapointed! read more
