I just moved in three days ago and have already found many roaches throughout my kitchen in my apartment. I had to throw away most of my new kitchen appliances (that I specifically bought for my new apartment) due to being covered in roaches. I am absolutely disgusted that this place would put me and my children in this type of situation. I am too scared to cook in this disgusting kitchen , Too scared to brush my teeth because I don't know if a roach was on my toothbrush, and too scared to sleep because the thought of roaches crawling on me and my children frightens me. We are also getting bit by something in the apartment and are not sure if it is bed bugs or flees. I am 100% taking legal action if I do not get my deposit and first months rent back. The cleaning company also did not clean under any of the appliances in the kitchen leaving dirt, bugs, and garbage under all of them. If that isn't enough , I had to buy two laundry cards because the first one that I bought did not work. After putting $20 on the laundry card, I used both washers to wash my clothes and when I went to use the two driers, one was not working at all so I used only one. I had to pay 3 times to try to dry my clothes, but the third time I realized that the drier had somehow managed to burn a hole in my brand new bed set and leave the rest of my clothes soaking wet. I am absolutely devastated by this experience and hope that we not only get refunded everything that we have paid, but I hope that nobody else gets put in this situation as well. read more

Do not move here. They stole my deposit after they failed their promises to me. I was told that it already passed my cut off time. I was originally told that I should find out within 3 days of application (I applied on Saturday and should know by Monday). It took over a month to me if I got the unit. I was never notified that I got the unit until after my moving date - it was less than 10 business days for my move in day. I mean who could move in that short period of time, let alone during a pandemic. They know that I'm moving cross country and still weren't courteous enough to give me time to move. I guess they wait until last minute to notify the approval notice so that potential tenant would give up the unit and they could keep the deposit. I asked to talked to a manager but I was told he's in a meeting and he will be calling me back - never did. I read other people's reviews - this place is roach and rat infested, elevator is broken a lot, and poorly run property. Who could move into their unit if the elevator is broken! They're already treating me badly and I haven't even moved in yet! Maybe, my situation might be a blessing in disguise. read more

If you're thinking about moving here .... DONT . Cheap blinds always falling down randomly,my closet door keeps falling down despite maintenance fixing it multiple times (literally fell when I opened it) which is a safety issue because I have a toddler it could have fell on her. Washers and dryers constantly breaking or barely functioning, the AC is terrible , rain coming in through the windows when they are closed , the sink backing up and flooding onto the floor , terrible parking to where there is literally nowhere to park and people have to make their own space to park . If you want a good quality apartment I highly suggest you don't pay that much money to live in a dump . I'm MISERABLE and can't wait to move . read more

By far one of the worst experiences we have had. While the leasing office is very nice, the maintenance is absolutely awful. We had a open work orders for months at a time from the day we moved in. Unless you want toilets that don't flush, windows that will let rain and snow into your apartment and water flooding and backing up into apartment I would look elsewhere. Because the maintenance manager here is beyond rude, will accuse you of creating the issue just so he doesn't have to do the work and treats his employees like crap, this comes right from the employees mouths. Definitely look somewhere else. We should have listened to the woman on the first day when we move in, she said "you are making a mistake".... Also to the person who said it's obvious that the bad reviews are from people who are unreasonable. We are not. We were without water for a week due to a rusted pipe. The maintenance manager said "oh well". We had snow come in the screen door that had been broken since the day we moved in that was supposed to fe fixed and never was. It ruined Christmas presents ON CHRISTMAS EVE!! We even had the property manager out to our apartment who agreed these things should have been fixed a long time ago. It's pretty obvious to me that most of the reviews on this site on the Regency Apartments were written by residents that are unreasonable or disgruntled about something. I've been here for a month and am very pleased with my suite, the floorplan and the upgrades that were done before I moved in. Most apartment complexes paint hospital white, but the neutral beige is a perfect compliment to the new carpeting that was put in my suite. After I moved in, I had two maintenance issues and both of them were rectified within 24 hours. I also got a courtesy call from the maintenance department asking permission to enter my apartment because there was a leak in the apartment below me and they wanted to see if it was coming from my suite. Is the building perfect? No, but I've never lived in an apartment complex where everything was perfect. Are there issues that need to be dealt with? Of course, it's an old building! Sadly, it's the residents in the building that leave garbage in the elevators, put their muddy shoes on the walls, stain the furniture in the lobby, throw lint and dryer sheets on the floor in the laundry rooms. They don't treat the building like it was their home! If you have roaches in your apartment, that isn't the managements fault, it's your own. The same thing goes for bed bugs...you brought them in, they didn't come with the apartment! My guess is these are the people that wrote these nasty reviews. So if you're thinking about moving to The Regency, don't pay attention to these negative reviews, I didn't, and I am very pleased and happy here. read more

Wow where do I even start. Whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Don't even try to give these people the benefit of the doubt. Listen to all the recent 1 star reviews. When I first applied for this place I wasn't able to see it, I did think it was a little strange but whatever, got the keys to the place, IT WAS NOT EVEN TURNED FROM THE PREVIOUS PEOPLE. I'm talking smeared dog poop, stains, dog bones, trash, all over this apartment. The management apologize offered 3 free months rent and paid for the hotel I stayed at for about 4 days until the place was cleaned and fixed. Whatever, i got over it because they handled the situation decently. Not even 2 days into moving in, the kitchen sink STARTED TO FLOOD DIRTY POO POO WATER. They sent about 3 Maintenance people to the apartment and none of them knew how to freaking fix it. A plumber was finally called by management and it got fixed. But the water flooded the counters, floors, everywhere. Stunk the whole apartment . Took 3 DAYS OF THIS HAPPENING FOR IF TO FINALLY BE FIXED. These apartments are invested with bugs as well. My lease isn't even up yet and I've dealt with bugs every damn month, A DIFFERENT KIND EVERY MONTH. They call an exterminator, "sprays" and oh the problem returns in 2 weeks. An endless cycle. Beetles, giant spiders , ants, centipedes. You also see them in the HALLWAYS It's a sh*t show. they don't care, I've complained so many times they just stop responding to me. I keep my place clean, there's no reason there should be bugs like this. I'm convinced they are just living in the vents and walls because nothing is updated or taken care of in these apartments everything is outdated and just DISGUSTING. I've had even a dead bird thrown at my door by wild kids... some of the neighbors are down right disgusting leaving underwear in the halls and it's just left there for days UNTIL SOMEONE FROM THESE APARTMENTS FINALLY DECIDES TO "CLEAN". maintenance smokes cigarettes in the hallways, the whole hall always smells like straight sewage making your unit STINK. The laundry room is disgusting , covered in mold. My dishwasher doesn't clean and releases a foul order any time I try to use it. Told them about this problem they did absolutely nothing, also told them for 2 MONTHS MY KITCHEN LIGHT IS OUT AND NOBODY HAS CAME TO FIX IT SO I HAVE A DARK KITCHEN I CANT EVEN SEE. FIND SOMEWHERE BETTER YOU CAN. These people literally just steal your money. Over price these nightmare of apartments and do nothing useful with the money. An example would be the recent incident of the roof of the garage caving through, they probably knew about this issue but just chose not to put any money into fixing anything. I hope whoever car that was Sues, because as you should. Everything is broken, everything is dirty. They just pocket the money and absolutely 0 goes into any care or updates for these units. I've absolutely had it. I have a 4 month old and I shouldn't have to be paranoid about the conditions I'm stuck in until my lease is up because these people don't care, they care if you don't pay your rent on time though, even though they never fix the problems. DO NOT MOVE HERE. This place is hospitable and outrageously filled with an infestation of every bug. Over the last 2 months i've noticed a very terrible infestation of bed bugs specifically. It is beyond disgusting to believe that this is overlooked & okay to have a family live in. I am truly appalled that I have lived here for over a year. And am so beyond glad to be moving out tomorrow. The elevators and laundry rooms are so unsanitary and i've had my laundry taken from me. Please Please skip out on these apartments, I feel traumatized to have seen what i've seen here. Worst experience of my life, the apartment was disgusting and had so many problems that maintenance never came to fix, like a leaking shower that became so bad it sounded like the shower was constantly running, and mold in the bathrooms was also a huge problem, our dishwasher flooded the kitchen not even a week of me living here. The laundry machines never dried my clothes and the cards to pay never work. I had to buy at least 5 cards for the laundry machines because they would stop working with money on them and I've been here under a year. I was screamed at by the manager for using a jack to check my car because it was driving weird. The underground garage constantly flooded, the fitness center was extremely small and outdated. And the pool was never open and if it was open it was extremely overdosed with chlorine. read more

I just recently moved to the Regency & I must say I don't have many complaints. The Maintenance team is willing & ready to address issues & the Manager, Daniel, will even give a follow up call to make certain things have been satisfactorily resolved. I feel safe in this Residence, as they have cameras strategically placed EVERYWHERE! The issues I've had have been with someone stealing my Family's Covid tests out of the mail room (but I more or less blame that on USPS). I am a Black American & the Parma area has been known to have its issues with accepting minority cultures in their midst. However, at the Regency you will find the diversity that truly reflects the reality of the Country we live in. (Now that's not to say that there aren't a few people here that wouldn't benefit from from some Diversity Training Courses, but again, this place is a reflection of 'Real Life' & we must remember that it "Takes All Kinds!" Overall, the office Staff, Brett, Sherri, & Rachel, is approachable & helpful. I had to have an issue w my heat resolved & Henry from their HCVP department was the best. The Apartments are decent & the value CAN'T BE BEAT! There's a pool, a fitness room, Community rooms, a Social website for the Tenants AND SOCIAL EVENTS! So I moved into building D in September 2022, it s now March 2023 and I wish I could move. I have been dealing with mice since December. I live on the 4th floor you guys and been dealing with this issue . I called , I emailed and nobody from the office has helped me threw this. So, I hired my own exterminator and they helped me maintain the issue ,BUT we are still catching mice in my house..... my children are terrified to be in their own home . Our house is clean and sanitary and this problem is still going on. Is the price reasonable, yes . Especially since rent has become almost impossible to afford. The elevators are always down. it takes maintenance weeks to get to your work orders. They came into my apartment without my knowledge or permission and let my cat out. They refuse to acknowledge that. They claim I never had a pet, why would I pay pet rent? My apartment flooded twice and ruined so many of my belongings. They dont care. Had mold growing on my carpet and on my baseboards, I had to fight with them to replace. My sons ceiling in his room keeps falling, the tiles are always falling in the hallways. My bathtub, sink, and drain are all clogged constantly. I TALKED TO THE SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT JEFF BREHA AND HE ACTUALLY LAUGHED AT ME WHEN I ASKED FOR A RENT CREDIT. I have lived for only a month but so far it is great! It is clean, I feel safe, and I don't have any noise issues so I am pretty lucky! The people in the office are very helpful and kind. I have had a couple maintenance issues but they were taken care of really quickly and it was very hassle free :) The gym is small but it is usable for sure! The pool looks great but it is only open 1pm - 9pm 6 days/ week... not very useful times for someone wanting to swim laps before work. I should have looked into that a bit more. I love the garden it is so cute! And the gardener is really nice! I am excited to try my green thumb. There is also a car washing station with warm water to wash your car with! I think this is so cool!! I only went down once and it smelled like a sewage leak... I was not comfortable stepping in the standing water... Hopefully my next attempt will be better. We have been living her for almost a year and have had many issues. The biggest being that the air conditioning has gone out twice. Of course yesterday the start of this horrible heat wave it crashed again. The maintenance manager said they don't have their own Hvac person & that they will just add us to "a list" of others who are without it right now, and they have no time line of when it will be replaced. It is currently 86 degrees in our house, and the heat has made us physically ill. They have given us a carpet fan, and a portable a/c unit only after us hanging up on them and talking in a stern voice. We called 4 times yesterday starting at 7 am, guy came out and basically said there was nothing he could do, and then this morning we called at 6 am didn't get a call back on the emergency line until 11:15 and nobody came to us until 3:30 pm. According to the worker they only have one person that they can call for outside help with heating and cooling for 7 units!!! And all four regency buildings are considered only one unit. So with that being said they are only doing 2-3 a day, so who knows when our air will be back on. There is still 6-8 people ahead of us.We are absolutely miserable. Update 7/17- still been calling every single day, trying to get a response about fixing our air. Every time either someone answers and responds with "I don't know" or nobody answers or calls back. This has been 9 straight days of no air. Also, contacted Brittany Brockman the property manager and never got a response when calling or emailing. The lack of communication between the offices and managers of this place is absolutely ridiculous. if you are thinking of moving here, make sure you get your AC brand new because if not they will not care and you will become physically sick from the excessive heat. UPDATE ... I CANNOT WAIT until I am able to leave this place. It is beyond DISGUSTING here. I would've never spoke up about the ROACH issue that I did NOT cause, they would have kept pretending that they didn't know they're building was infested with roaches! They said it was a tenant that had them & spread them through out the whole building & they finally moved & that unit has been cleaned... Every time the exterminator comes, the problem seems to get better, then we start seeing them again s few months later! & EVERYTIME we see them, it seems like the problem gets WORSE!!! I've seen a roach on my $2000 furniture that I'm still paying OFF on that I can't even sit on!! Can't cook in my kitchen bc that seems to be the main source of where they are coming from, like who wants to cook in a roach infested kitchen??? So me & my bf have been ordering take out the last MONTH... then just last week my bf seen a MOUSE!! THEN!!..... the other day it was a thunderstorm & my ceiling had water damage & some of my things I had up against my wall got damaged.. thank GOD for renters insurance!! MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE ARE VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL... the rent here is OVER PRICED... it's like I'm living in a house with all these problems... seems like it's a new problem every over day... it's miserable here... We have been living at the Regency since November and we are not staying another year. All in all it has been an okay experience living here. The gym is mediocre but the pool is great. The parking sucks so if you're looking into moving here definitely get the garage space. The prices for the apartments are great! You are really close to a lot of shopping/food places so it is a really good deal living here. The maintenance/management is really kind and understanding. The elevators are pretty sketchy. I have gotten stuck in one for about 30 minutes so that was freaky. The halls always smell funky and I have no idea why. Neighbors are relatively quiet but we have had a few instances where people were loud outside. No bugs other than the once in a great while, tiny spider. And last but not least the kitchens are pretty small/ they don't have enough cabinet space, so I had to buy my own shelving unit which fit perfectly in the kitchen. All in all I say it's okay because there are a few small issues but easy ways to fix it or it's not the worst problem to just deal with. I would recommend the regency for families that don't have a high budget and want a decent apartment. read more

Just moved in, so far so good. Security was rude and unwelcoming when we were moving in. Water pressure is low in the toilet so it runs for 10-15 minutes after you hold down the plunger for 5 minutes to flush. The leasing office staff, for the most part, is polite and welcoming. Maintenance was fast and efficient when I put in a work order. I allowed the leasing office to "pick" my apartment for me, I could have declined it and chosen another. I did not realize that there is less storage space here as opposed to my previous apartment, but I will make do. This is a nice apartment, very cute for my small family of three. I foresee the purchase of shelves in my future. I will update after I have been here for a little longer. However, on first impressions and friend recommendations, this apartment is very nice. Update 10/7/2012: This is still a decent apartment, according to leasing they are stopping rentals to college students this year and the future. There is more noise here that I thought there would be. You hear people stomping around at all hours, whether upstairs, your outside hallway, the stairs, etc. People, whether neighbors, visitors or generally, yell at all hours, even at 3am. Some people drive around (on the streets and parking lots) blasting their radios, blaring their horns, screeching tires or sounding off their car alarms. Children run up and down the halls outside my apartment door. The intercom to ring an apartment is broken more often than not. The front elevators don't work every other day. They are redecorating the foyer in this building and there is already gum in the ceramic tile grout. The elevator buttons are mis-numbered and oddly shaped due to high-temperature warping, like someone stuck a lit cigarette on them. Since January, I have asked maintenance for new light switches because the current ones are snap-push-buttons and not switches. They still have not come to replace them or even take me up on my offer to buy them for my apartment so they can switch them out. For an apartment neighborhood that doesn't allow smoking within the building, just in your own individual apartment, the hallways always smell like an ashtray. The vertical blinds (although normally cheap) are very cheap and break at every tiny jostle--and you have to pay $20/slat. The street numbers on each building are hard to see from the street and all you can decipher is the letter of the building. Right now, you have to pay for every amenity except a pool pass (like access to the workout room, a garden space, garage parking, pet--in a pet building). I'm starting to see mold or mildew form on the caulk in the tub which is kind of gross and newly developed. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers in each laundry room, and 1 laundry room per floor. There has not been a week where the washers and/or dryers were not working. At first, we didn't experience problems because I was able to bring our laundry to a nearby laundry mat. Now that I am not able to do that, we use the complex laundry room and it is such a hassle. Oh, my toilet had been fixed after calling 3-5 times about it running slow and the ridiculous flush-time. The flap had a broken off hinge and there was a crack in the tank itself. I guess that was too difficult of a problem to assess and fix the first time? But, after a lot of persistence, they fixed it. I began looking for a new apartment this past summer and found the Regency to have everything I was looking for in a new home!! Jordane and the rest of the office girls were quite patient with me as I asked questions and have given friends and family the grand tour of the apartment prior to moving in. I did move in this past week and have had some very nice and helpful people assist me. The maintenance guys added that "we're always willing to help out the residents" as I unloaded the last of my belongings from the car, let me borrow a cart to haul up to the apartment. I'm still in the process of getting furniture and things to make my home complete, but I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to call home! read more

Regency Apartments in Parma, Ohio is a very nice place to live. I am a medical student who moved here from New York to attend school here. Prior to moving to Ohio, I had been searching online for an affordable apartment in a safe community. After searching online and visiting a few different apartment complexes, I decided to choose Regency Towers. I am pleased with my decision to rent an apartment here, and plan to stay here for the duration of my medical school career (or longer, if I decide to permanently stay in Ohio). I currently live in a one-bedroom apartment (one of the newly re-modeled units), and have a private balcony. The wall-to-wall carpeting is a nice, neutral beige color, and the walls are also a neutral color, so that the furniture I purchased upon moving in, matches the apartment well. In addition, the rooms are spacious, and the kitchen includes a dishwasher and new microwave/gas stove range unit, along with wooden oak cabinets. There are elevators in the building, a laundry facility with washers and dryers on each floor, an exercise facility and swimming pool, and a parking garage. Also, the Regency offers free heat, gas, and water, which is a plus (especially during the winter months, when I like to maintain a warm environment in my apartment.) But, the best feature of Regency Towers, is that the staff are attentive to your needs. Whenever I have a request, or something requires attention (whether it be a slight draft through a window, or a lightbulb that needs changing in the hallway), the maintenance staff are very attentive. They respond quickly and in a timely manner. After placing a maintenance request call to the office, someone is sent to address the problem, within an hour of the request having been made. And, whenever I am not at home, and a package is delivered, someone in the office holds it for me until I return home. The staff are polite, and are happy to assist me in carrying my groceries to my apartment for me, whenever I go shopping, as well. Those of us who are tenants here, know that the management team appreciates its tenants, because every so often they will plan special events for us, such as tenant appreciation day, bazaars in the party room, and other seasonal events, where they provide complimentary refreshments and other goodies. In addition, the apartment complex is conveniently located close to restaurants and shopping areas, so that if I need to run out to the store or pick up dinner from a restaurant, I only have to make a brief trip out, to the stores nearby. I highly recommend Regency Towers to anyone who is searching for a nice, safe, clean, quiet, apartment building with a great, attentive staff. read more
