You can bypass this by using the ExpressPay feature on the BJ's Wholesale Club app. All you have to do is open ExpressPay and then use your cell phone camera to scan the bar codes of all the items in your cart. When you've completed that scanning , hit pay and it generates an electronic receipt for you . Then you can walk to the exit where you show the electronic receipt to the BJ's employee. Then you can be out and on your way.
